Those were the last words I heard before I passed out in a pool of blood—not all of it my own. Now I’m stuck in a rundown old factory called the Burrow, being stitched up by a guy named Doc (who I suspect doesn’t really have a medical degree), and she tells me the leader of the Summer City Vipers has a price on my head. I can stay here, lay low in the Burrow with Bunny and her friends, or I can risk it on my own … but what can a gamer nerd like me do against the toughest gang in the city? I’m not tough like Kendrick, I’m not tech-savvy like Keys, and Bunny? Well, there’s no one quite like Bunny.
Maybe it’s a bit of a survivor’s crush, or maybe it’s something more, but I find myself drawn to Bunny. Sure, she dresses weird, the unhinged look in her eyes when she’s swinging that baseball bat through someone’s skull is a bit unnerving, and she’s kinda already hooking up with Kendrick, Doc, and Keys, but what relationship doesn’t have a few hiccups at the start?
Bunny
The new guy’s kinda cute, in a geeky sort of way. He doesn’t have the skills that Kendrick, Doc, and Keys have, but I’m sure we could find a use for him around here. Besides, I can’t exactly kick him out of the Burrow when Samson Ramsey wants him dead. The Cobra won’t rest until Neil is lying on a slab in the morgue, so it’s up to me and my guys to protect him.
Of course, now the Cobra’s after me, too, though this viper’s about to learn that he’s picked the wrong Bunny to mess with. My body count’s just as high as his, and I have no qualms about racking up those numbers.
Go ahead, Cobra. Send your goons. I’ll be waiting for ‘em.

AJ Mullican is a queer, neurospicy, multi-genre romance author who writes across a wide spectrum of tropes and romantic pairings. AJ loves love in all its varied forms, which is reflected in her writing. AJ firmly believes that “Variety in spice is life.” From “traditional” MF romance to queer and poly romantic pairings, throuples, quads (you get the idea!) there’s something for everyone in her work.
When she isn’t writing, AJ enjoys playing Final Fantasy XIV online and dabbling in sewing and resin crafting. She lives in southern Arizona with her husband and three cats, Rory, River, and Missy.
Probably realistically a 3.5 for me, but I didn't want to give such a new book a low rating. It's primarily because I just did not appreciate the Harley Quinn "borrowed" vibes of the FMC. I suspend disbelief a little bit for mafia books, obviously, but there were just one too many places where a girl with a baseball bat took out 40 mobsters with guns, ya know?
This is a new author for me and I did like how the POVs were done...it feels rare to start off with a POV that's not the FMC, and I liked the varied POVs because we got to see the other relationships really develop. The Keys/Neil relationship was really sweet, and I honestly wish that a bit more time had been spent on the reveal and the making up after it.
All of the characters are super flawed, but have a nice little rag tag gang together. The forced group scene towards the end didn't feel quite right and was definitely rushed, but the spice throughout the rest of the book was fine.
This one hooked me early in—I absolutely need to read more from this author! I found that I missed it when I stepped away, it was packed with action, drama, and chaos.
Overall: 4 stars for the content. 2/3 stars for the audio quality.
🎧Audio: The narrator was okay, at times she performed and at other times she could sound a bit robotic. I think she could be good, if she wanted to and was more intentional about performing instead of just dictating.
The overall sound quality is odd though … and it fluctuated, this wasn’t one smooth production. There were bits where she sounded far away … chapters where she sounded tinny … others where she sounded … like she was under water or something? Not a professional production.
That said, the content itself was addicting and absolutely worth the listen.
What a fun, crazy ride of a book. This is a dark romance so please check TWs before diving in.
Honestly, when I started reading, I did not expect to love this book as much as I did. But it was fun, there were moments they didn't take themselves seriously, but there was all the drama of a good dark romance, character development and a great storyline under it all.
And who doesn't love a Harley Quinn-esque vigilante who dresses as a Bunny?
I loved the cast of characters, and that they were all so different and individual. I got a bit mad at Keys at the beginning, but that quickly resolved as the narrative moved on. The relationships are good, and I love their interactions.
For a dark, fun why-choose romance, definitely pick this one up. And you gotta love the HEA.
Love this book right from the beginning! Hands down I feel like Call Me Bunny had the best multiple POVs I've seen in a while. I feel like I got to know all the characters equally, it never centered more on one character than the others. I of course loved everyone and their growth immensely! Nerds are my favorite so Keys and Neil are my picks from this book. The dynamic between everyone balanced very well. Even when they didn't get along. I never felt like this book dragged at all. There's plenty of action throughout and definitely a good amount of spice of all kinds!
If you love psychotic FMCs, sexy as sin men and badass plots… this is for you.
Bunny is a tad psychotic but for some reason you (and the men in her life) cannot help but love her. Without giving away the plot this is a very steamy read with some very sexy mm and mmfmm action.
If you do not like a little bdsm, gore and revenge in your plots… you may want to skip this one. But it’s so good, so I hope you choose to read it.
This was a very interesting book from a new arthur for me. I went into this book just going off the blurb and man was I taken on one helluva wild ride. I absolutely loved this story and these character's. There were twists and turns and a revenge plot that got it all started, so it had me intrigued to know how this was going to play out. Go in this blind like I did and enjoy the ride this arthur takes you on. I can't wait to read more from her.
Loved the multiple pov's. Where can you get a nerdy homicide right here and you will absolutely love it.
The broken characters come together as a family and Bunny is the center of them. Each character has a different personality but they go well with each other. The storyline was something that I haven't seen out there before and I loved it and highly recommend to all it was a perfect combination of spice and mayhem, murder and mystery. A must read you won't be disappointed.
Nobody tells Bunny who to be with and then she finds the family she desperately wants finally
I really enjoyed this little psychotic group. Well some of them. I loved Bunny she had me laughing. This seems to be a standalone but it said book 1 so I don't know. Maybe there will be another standalone but new characters but again I don't know. But I did enjoy this read. I enjoyed the author. Did a good job and would read another of her.
That was a wild ride. I loved all the characters, especially Keys. He just gave off a vibe that makes you want to protect him at all costs. We were able to learn about each characters’ backstory, but I do wish some of them had gone a bit more in depth. I really felt for Bunny and I’m glad she was able to get her HEA. This was another great read by AJ Mullican!
Do you ever have hom!c!dal fantasies? Bunny is that dream come true! I absolutely love this chick. This book ends with a poly HEA and its perfection. Neil, Keys, Bunny, Kendrick, and Doc. I devoured this in one day because I just couldn't put it down. Check the triggers because there are plenty here.
This was a fun and crazy story. I picked this book to read because I wanted A WHY CHOOSE Romance, which I did get, but the story line was something was something I was not expecting.
Written in MPOV, this story consisted of many different twists and turns leaving you constantly on the edge of your seat wanting to know what is going to happen next.
I enjoyed reading and watching the character growth of all 5 of them. The world Building was also excellent as I felt like I could be there with them.
Overall, I would say this book deserves 4 stars and a 3.5 for the spice level!!! I would Recommend this story to other readers!
Okay first off, if you have any triggers, please look at the list of them. There are a lot.
This is a dark romance that is great. It gives Harley Quinn vibes with poly HEA. Neil just wanted someone and Bunny needed everyone. If you thought you would know how the book went, you be wrong. It was a good read.
I really loved this dark, why choose romance. There was lots of suspense to go along with all the spice! I loved Bunny! She is the glue that holds this found family together, despite her baggage and issues. Lots of action with a happily ever after at the end. So good!
This was a fun crazy story. Bunny is very psychotically unhinged while giving Harley Quinn vibes with her bat & hyper personality. I also love the submissive side of nerdy Keys & Neil. Kendrick was harder to love but he came around in the end.
A dark, Why Choose romance that was bloody, violent and very spicy. Bunny was fabulous and crazy whilst her men were captivating. Their relationship was beautiful and Intense. A great storyline full of action, tension and revenge. Loved this.
Over all good book with a rough track to a HEA for the characters. The FMC is over confident at times, borderline psychotic, but loves fiercely. The guys are all great in their own ways. The shy, the nerdy, the protector, and the doc.
Incredibly fun read! This is a fantastic multi-pov, dark whychoose romance. This give Harley Quinn vibe throught. This groups of characters are amazing and I really liked how equally we got to know about them. They dynamic also seemed really balanced. I loved the interactions.
I might be biased, because AJ is a favorite author of mine, but I LOVED this book.
I absolutely fell in love with Keys and Neil, and could not put this book down. Bunny is a ton of fun, and this book is PACKED with action, gore, cyber-fun, and so much spice.
A group of broken individuals entwined in a beautiful yet unhinged family situationship. Harley Quinn vibes but sexier! I was drawn to this book from the Trigger Warning shopping list, and it met and exceeded expectations. I especially love the fact that After care was included in the BDSM scenes.
Torture, revenge, murder, mayhem. This book was a great read! Loved Neil, Keys, Bunny, Kendrick and Doc. I loved this dysfunction but perfect family they have put together and the crazy adventure along the way. Bunny was amazing and I was super partial to Keys and Neil. Swoon.
This book was fast paced with lots of action and wonderful characters! Bunny is so cool! I love how she has no fear and kicks butt! She is also funny and has a big heart.
I ate this shit up. I absolutely loved Bunny. I laughed so much and the writing was really good. Super spicy and very hot. Keys was probably my favorite, but I loved all the guys—Kendrick, Doc, and Neil. Can't wait for the prequel.
Great plot and fantastic characters. Enjoyed the development of the plot and the ride it takes you on. Bunny is smart and viscous and her guys love her unconditionally. Enjoy!
Absolutely loved Bunny & how absolutely crazy she is. Her personality is awesome! She’s a bad*ss & I love my FMC’s to be bad*sses! I love the guys too. They totally get her & never try to stifle her personality. They each compliment her in such a perfect way. Loved this!
This was a good read. A murderous Bunny and some nerdy boys. A drop-out med student and a fine af bad boy. The twists were good. RH, underdog vigilantes
