New Adult Author of the All Series, book one Be All released July 2013. Other tiles in the series are, All is Lost, All This Time, Worth it All, Risking All, All We Are and My All. My short story, No Details, can be found in the Novel Grounds All Our Love anthology. It will become a full-length novel in 2015. I am the mom of two beautiful & intelligent daughters; Kaitie and Kayla, who both married Kyle's. I married my best friend, the most loving man that I’ve ever met, Barry. He supports me and encourages everyone of my wild dreams no matter how neurotic. I have two g'son, WD & RJ, who sweetly call me Lola (because that's what I want them to call me). I am a proud Italian-American, living in Alabama. Barry & I have a real passion for travelling via car, and we have visited over half the country in our eleven years together. I adore reading and Japanese food. When I actually do turn on the television, I must play catch-up with my overloaded DVR. My top faves are Game of Thrones, Persons of Interest, Sons of Anarchy, True Blood, Walking Dead, and recently I've added StarCross & the 100 to the lineup. I love Facebook, but hate to overload the news feed with posts about me, so you’ll see more shares than original posts, unless they are about my books. I have a blog, but I suck at updating it. I hope to find time to connect and use it as an outlet for my insane ramblings, but don't count on it. If you love my books, please follow my fan page Marie Wathen Author. I will do my best to keep you updated on where my books are as well as sharing teasers. Thanks for all the love!

3.5 Confused Stars

Confused. I was so confused. 1 Gal. 2 Twin Guys. 3 POVs One of the twins has a double life, so does that count as 2.5 guys or 3 lives? I was confused. So much time was spent thinking about what had already happened that not much forward motion happened. Maybe it was the multiple POVs or the back and forth in time...8 hours earlier....4 hours later.... you get the picture.

Beesan (great name) has isolated herself from life. On purpose. If she doesn't care about anyone, she can't be hurt. And she has been hurt in the past. She reluctantly agrees to a blind date with one of the cute boys on the island. He is a charming jerk. Until she goes to the bathroom and then he turns into a possessive alpha male who can't take his eyes off her. Oh wait...that is the twin. So confusing.

Morgan and Marcus are expected to take over the family business. Except they can't stand their dad. They are early college age but Marcus is already an undercover DEA Agent. Yeah, see...confusing. The story was written like they were much older.

There were great characters and a good story. But too many words. We keep going back and recapping like it had been a month since we read the last chapter. And then it ends. Just ends. Just when it is really getting to the story! Arrgggghhhh.

*I was given an ARC by the author in exchange for my honest opinion*

Oh my gosh, I cannot express how AWESOME Be All is!

I love the relationship between Breesan and Marcus, how it builds, and how she grows within it and in herself too. Each of the voices the author created are so different that, after I got a feel for the characters, I knew who was speaking at all times. Utterly fantastic job with the characters, truly!

And I'm in awe of Ms. Wathen's vocabulary. I felt what the characters felt, I was right there with them. I even fell in love with Marcus and wanted to scream at Breesan to let him into her heart!

Be All held my attention. When I wasn't reading it, I dreamed about it... then I couldn't concentrate on anything else. I kept trying to guess what plot twists the author would throw in next.

I can't wait to read the next book and find out what happens. Count me as a fan, Marie Wathen!

*******WARNING....May or May NOT contain spoiler...can't make ya any promises!!!!**********

I received this book to review as part of the Be All Blog Blitz Tour. It is a very long, extensive read. The 3 main characters Breesan Maxwell, Morgan Walker and Marcus Walker all share they're POV in the story. This book has the perfect story line...it is thrilling, suspenseful, heart-wrenching, and passionately romantic! I clung to my seat, had several pmp moments, screamed at the characters, laughed, cried, and was left smiling...longing for book 2. Marie's ability to snap shot each scene in the book through her extensive descriptive writing is amazing. She has picked the perfect muses for the book, which makes the read even more interesting because you can clearly envision each character.

Meet Breesan Maxwell. She is a young woman who has built walls up around her heart, keeping even her closest friends Anna and Tristan at arms length. Her mother died giving birth to her, and her father has gone MIA in active duty. Her step mother Julia has raised her the last 13 years...being 13 years of pure hell. Due to the cards life has dealt Breesan at a young age, she has grown into a very strong willed, snarky, intelligent young woman. She refuses to love or be loved, but she also refuses to lay down and wither away. She draws on her strength every day, through running, training, etc. She has plans of starting college and the fall and is excited to spend summer home with her good friends.

Enter the Walker Twins...they are HOT....like devilishly sexy hot...raised in England, they only spend summers on Willow Island. Intrigued by stories over the years of Breesan, the brothers can't wait to meet her. Morgan and Marcus have a strained relationship. Morgan, is very deceitful, arrogant, yet charmingly sexy,he is the playboy brother, who has let his families fortunes cloud his good boy southern nature. Marcus, is sweet, endearing, honest, sexy...the good ol' country boy. Daylight and dark.

As their worlds lace together, friendships are formed, and Breesan finally allows her heart to open to friends and love. One by one the walls around her heart crack, and fade away. But not without cost. Someone is out to harm Breesan, and eventually things go too far. Which brother wins the girl, who is out to harm Breesan, who is Dr. A???

I can't wait to read book 2, and geez I hope it is soon. I rated this book a 5 star, because I couldn't rate it a 10 (wish I could, it totally deserves it!!) It totally blew me away, left me with book whiplash, and a book hangover!! I want more MARCUS!!!!

This is not a genre I usually read but I was given an unedited ARC of Be All and am so thankful for the opportunity to immerse myself into the world of Breesan and her friends who live on Willow, an island of the rich and famous.

We discover at the start that Breesan’s mother died giving birth to her and then at age 5 her father, in the military, is captured and now presumed dead although she refuses to believe it. She is living with her stepmother, Julia, who has no time for her. Breesan’s way of dealing with her past and present situation is to emotionally isolate herself as protection against any further loss or hurt; she’s not willing to commit to friendships or love.

This is the first summer that Breesan is actually going to spend at home, normally she is sent away by Julia, and high school friends, especially Anna, plan to keep her busy all summer starting with a blind date that does not go as planned. When Breeson meets Morgan and Marcus you just know that sparks will fly even though she tries to keep them both at a distance.

I loved the dynamics of the whole group and the interplay between Breeson, Morgan and Marcus.

This story has mystery, action, twists, of course romance, wonderful characters and a cliff-hander ending that leaves you needing to know more. I’m really looking forward to reading the next book.

In a reading rut? Tired of the same old love triangle or angsty rockstar? We all know it happens and every now and then you need a little something different to break things up a bit. Be All is a great choice to do just that. The beginings of a great mystery series, it is filled with suspense, intrigue, action and a great romance.

Breesan - In my mind, building an impenetrable wall to block out love, from friendship to men, will keep me safe.

Having lost her father at a young age and living with her truly "evil" stepmother Bressan, closing herself off from love in all it's forms she has one goal in mind - keep her promise to her father and go to college. Home for the summer for the first time after being shipped off each year by her stepmother she begrudgingly agrees to a blind date with Morgan Walker. From that point on Breesan's life is turned upside down and she is faced with decisions to open herself up to love and friendship or remain closed off and lonely. With an unknown danger lurking and two sexy twin brothers after your heart, what is a girl to do?

Morgan - Honestly, the only worshipping I want from a woman comes while I fuck her and she praises me at the top of her lungs.

The bad boy of the Walker family, Morgan is back home in the US after living abroad. Escorting Breesan to his welcome home party as his blind date, Morgan sees something different in this girl and starts to think that maybe he is ready for more than a causal fling with a women or is he?

Marcus - Love will never be an issue for me. Permanently wounded through infidelity and family betrayal as a result of love, I have no vacancy in my heart.

Morgan's twin brother, Marcus also subscribes to the 'no girlfriends" policy. Working undercover and tasked with tracking down a new deadly drug all while protecting Breesan he has his work cut out for him. Add on top of that his growing attraction to Breesan and strained relationship with his brother only adds to his turmoil.

Three people closed off to love, relationships and dating how can any one of them find what they need? Sexual tension, misunderstandings and secrets lead to an intense read that will keep you turning the pages.

First time author Marie Wathen did a great job, I throughly enjoyed this book. Reading Be All was like watching a great mystery movie with an infamous Dr. A, a drug with the potential to kill, dreams that may or may not be actual memories, it leaves you guessing and wondering around every corner and eager for the next book in the series.

Honestly I'm giving it a 2.5, because the storyline was good, after reading the blurb I got interested. But I think it was poor execution. I felt like the story wasn't thought out and organized. I was confused through most of the book. The three switching viewpoints had me confused at times.
Sometimes I felt like it was such petty drama that was going on. I mean, c'mon people! Make up your damn minds! The characters felt really childish. My guess was the age range of the characters was 18-23.. But they felt like preteens or something with the way they were acting. The only character I really like was Tristan and Marcus, at times. I felt like shaking the other characters most of the time.
Breesan really got on my nerves, I didn't know whether to feel bad for her because of her upbringing or slap her for being so stupid. And what is up with her aunt/stepmom? I would be fishy about everything.

(Spoiler alert) Sorry I usually don't write spoilers so I don't know how to hide them! ____________________________________________________________________________________________

And then the dreams that Breesan was having, makes it seems like it was pertinent to the storyline and her past was trying to tell her something, but then that just gets dropped. And then her finding a combo number in a picture in her dad's office and there being important documents and guns and money in there...? I mean, what the heck does that mean? I would have freaked the heck out if my father had those hiding in a safe, that unlocked with my bday as the combo. Then for Julia to just take it from her making cryptic comments and you aren't AT ALL suspicious, seriously, how dense can you be? She is 18, legally an adult, and she still lives under her stepmom's thumb. If I were Breesan, I wouldn't tolerate that behavior from her, especially if those papers had my name on them and they were from my presumed dead military father.

There's SO much potential for this book. But too many confusing situations and feelings towards key players in this book made me not rate it so high. I will read the next one though, because I need some answers. The ending just ended. It wasn't even a cliffhanger ending, it made it seem like the two characters are going to live happily ever after, but what about Julia, what about her dad, what about Tristan, what about the drugs, what about the people trying to off her, where the heck is Morgan, is Waverly going to make another appearance?!
Grrr. I hate rating books that low though.

My Review:
This book!! This book had me reading at every chance I got. I could not get my head out of the story or the characters. I love a good story that has twists you don't see coming and an angst filled love triangle. This book had that in spades. It was a roller coaster ride for discoveries and mysteries. I couldn't get enough.

Breesan, Marcus, and Morgan. I Loved these characters. They all were very well-developed through the story and they all had their own plot lines intertwined with the main one. Each character had their flaws like all great ones do, but even trying to find one with them is a challenge. They are relatable and entertaining.

The Plot line was GREAT! It had some twists aI didn't see coming, and with the love triangle going on you are kept engulfed in the story. I also really loved the way we learned the back story of the novel. The chapters switched POV between a few different character and with each switch you learned more about that character and their past, as well as their roles . It was a fantastic way to build the story around them and I didn't have any trouble following along and finding out what was happening right along with them. This is something that is either well done or very confusing and this author nailed it.

Overall 5 star read for me. I loved all aspects of it and am anticipating the next installment.

A story of secrets, loneliness and a heartache so profound that it causes Breesan to cut herself off from the world emotionally at such a young age. Her mother died bringing her into the world and her dad has gone missing. She hasn't felt or wanted anyone's love since then. Fortunately for her, her childhood friends Anna and Tristan haven't given up hope and keep firmly implanted in her life no matter how hard she tries to push them out.

Her solid wall is set on a collision course with the charming Walker twins the night she agrees to go on a blind date with Tristan's cousin Morgan. His gorgeous exterior is soon overshadowed by his arrogant behavior. Morgan is completely baffled at her lack of interest in him that he is accustomed to from women, making her an enticing challenge. Figuring two can play at his game, Breesan boldly sneaks up on him after a short break to clear her head. Face to face, cornered by a completely different man, she is confused at her reaction to him when just a few moments before, she felt nothing. Now she couldn't ignore the electric charge causing goosebumps to creep along her skin at the merest touch from the green-eyed man before her.

Marcus has a mission and meeting Breesan has just complicated matters beyond repair. He wants her and so does his brother Morgan. He won't lose another woman to him but he can't risk being with her either, blowing his cover or endangering his entire team. Her independent, fiery attitude may be too much of a temptation.

This is my first book by Marie and I was very pleasantly surprised. Even though the characters are young, it doesn't feel like a YA only novel. The leading roles are mature and they each have such a dynamic personality. Add in the mystery and intrigue and you are hooked, wanting more. The love and support they have for Breesan, the broken lost soul, are truly heartwarming. Tristan, who took the role of being a protective big brother, was definitely among my favorites. Marcus was also such a complex man but he made me love him wholeheartedly by the end. Even Morgan has some redeeming qualities and I look forward to reading more in the story.

First and foremost, thank you Marie Wathen for giving us the opportunity to review this book prior to release. This book at first had me all over the place, Breesan seems like a bitch, since she won’t let her only friend Anna in. But as the book continues you realize why Breesan is the way she is. This story was captivating, edgy, and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Breesan just graduated high school, lost her dad 13 years ago when he was taken captive in Afghanistan, and her mother when she was giving birth to Breesan. She’s stuck with her step mom Julia and has been sent away every summer since her fathers disappearance. This summer she gets to stay on Willow, the island she grew up on, before heading off to college. Anna and her boyfriend Tristan are the only ones she lets close, and even then, she doesn’t let them in, she doesn’t love, and doesn’t want love in return.

Enter Marcus and Morgan… Oh these boys, LOVE THEM. Both of them have their faults, but for some reason are drawn to Breesan, and want more, but is she willing to give either of them more than friendship? That would mean taking down her walls.

This story is edgy and rough, and not your typical lovey dovey book. Characters are in danger, people are lying, and there is some serious shit going on, on the little island of Willow. This story has you up and down, in fear for some of the characters, crying, and falling in love. Breesan is a bad ass, and has no problem telling anyone what is up. This story has its ups and downs, and I couldn’t put it down, I’m glad I knew going in that there would be more, because the closer I got to the end I knew the story would not be wrapped up, and we’d be waiting for me! There is somewhat of a cliffhanger, so beware. But this story is a definite pick up and I hope each of you go out and pick it up when it releases!

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. Thank you so much Marie for sharing your work with me!

This book broke my heart and gave me so much to think about. Breesan who is incredibly meek in the beginning of the novel becomes something stronger and more beautiful towards the end. I love how she finally found the courage to face off with her stepmother. I love that we see Breesan come out of her self imposed exile from the world to move forward with her life.

The beginning of the introduces us to Breesan who misses her father and knows little to nothing about any of her other family. Her stepmother Julia is very cold and quite frankly, I tried to look for something good in her, and I couldn't find anything. Julia has been sending Breesan away every summer to get rid of her and finally Breesan gets to stay home while Julia is on a cruise.

The Walker boys show up and we get to meet the gorgeous Morgan and Marcus! Both men are incredibly drawn to Breesan and she in turn is drawn to them. But as we learn in the journey of the book, there is so much going on that the love story is only a small part. Which is why I love this book so much! Breesan learns what has happened to her father, has to deal with the cold Julia, and has to try to stay safe while dealing with the Walker boys!

But I will tell you that I learned so much about giving yourself a break and learning to live again. This book was exactly what I needed to read right now. Breesan learns that something good can happen even when it feels like everything has fallen apart. I loved the book so much and I highly recommend it! Only one drawback, I have to WAIT to read book 2! =)

I give it 4.5 lipsticks!

3.5 stars. Something didn't quite hit the spot with this one and I'm not itching to leap into the second in the series, but I'm feeling reluctant to commit to a 3 star rating. Maybe it's because I found the indecision of all three main characters a bit frustrating and annoying. And I kinda felt like Breeson laid it on a bit thick in the first few chapters about how undeserving she is of love.... Only to then pretty quickly let quite a few people penetrate her alleged walls. Hmmm.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I'm not going to talk too much about the plot because I don't want to give anything away. But I will say that it is fast paced and full of suspense, there was always something happening or we were constantly finding something new out.

One of my favourite things about this book is that I have no idea where it's going. You find answers to some questions but you still have no idea about the overall story and how everyone is connected and why things are happening which I love because it keeps you hooked!

The characters is this book weren't always easy to like for me. I really didn't like Breesan at the beginning. I understand she is a very broken girl but there were some points when I just didn't like her. Like when she is mean to Anna because she won't leave her alone and wants to remain her friend. However as the story progressed and Breesan started to open up and let people in I eventually started to like and enjoy her character more.
I love the twins! Both of them were great. Even though Morgan is a player I think he is so sexy and confident and is honest about what he wants most of the time.
Marcus is just as sexy but in a more quiet way and I love his protectiveness over Breesan.
Tristan is also brilliant and one of my favourite characters in the story. They way he treats Anna, you can feel his love for her coming off the page and how protective and caring he is towards Breesan is something I really admire.

The ending was shocking!! I was so sad over a certain part and hope it isn't as bad as we think and that everything turns out okay.
I can't wait to read the second book to hopefully get more answers to the story especially about Breesan's dad and what Julia's involvement is!

I can't quite give this book 5 stars because of the repetitive use of the word baby which drove me crazy and sometimes there was just too much description where there didn't need to be. I also didn't like the style of the writing sometimes but that's more a personal thing when it comes to what I like.

But because of the characters I loved and the intense story line which is keeping me guessing all the way through I would definitely recommend this story and can't wait to find out what happens next.

Captured my attention right from the beginning to the end. I enjoyed the different POV'S in the story giving me the emotions of each of the main characters, each having their doubts and flaws.
I am little confused maybe disappointed that Breesan dreams/flashback aren't quite clear or maybe that they are but she has not discussed them with any one so what's the purpose. I do realize that this is a series and only the first book. It's just that for someone that insists on being her own independent self that she has not put more information together from her past.
Morgan seems to be a total mess thinking he has it all but really he is not in tune with himself. He also seems to be carrying a lot of issues regarding his twin Marcus that he is not willing to deal with. In short he's in denial. He thinks he wants Breesan and more so when he finds out that Marcus wants her, once again I don't believe he know what he wants. It will be interesting to see how much damage he will do to himself before he discovers himself.
Marcus is the most together of the three. He already know what he's career goals are but his personally life has been a mess for over a year. He knows he wants Breesan that they have chemistry but he fights it for many reasons until he realizes he needs to tell her the true to be able to help her.
The romantic triangle is well played although there really is more than three people involved in the relationship.
There is a lot of twists and turns and many unanswered questioned of how everything connects.
Who are the real bad guys? And who is Julia, Breesan's aunt, really? Is one or more of the senior Walkers involved? Will Tristan live? Will Morgan realizes that he is actually in love?
I would recommend this book but tell the people that the book leaves you in a cliffhanger with so many questions.

This book confused me slightly as it's written from three different points of view and as such goes back on itself in terms of the timeline. I hated that it had a cliffhanger, just as I thought we were getting to the answers I so desperately wanted.

I've got my own suspicions about how the story will turn out, but then I question whether the author could really have dreamed up a plot line that cruel, who knows, we'll find out in book two I guess.

Breesan is eighteen, lost her mother and father very early and has a stepmother who makes the stepmother in Cinderella look like a fairy godmother! She's afraid to allow friendships and love and has such a defensive wall built around her, and then she meets Morgan and Marcus. That made for an interesting chapter!

Morgan and Marcus have a shared history of the same girl that complicates their relationship with Breesan, they both want her.

Anna her best friend has been forcing friendship on her since they were little.

There's a real suspense story slowly unfolding through this book, each chapter reveals another snippet, a teaser of a clue, I get the impression when it all comes out it's going to be big and blow me away.

Breesan has dreams about a little boy that used to play with her and I've a suspicion that little boy is Marcus, or am I just hoping that something good will happen.

It's a complicated story, there's the main suspense story, the various relationship dilemmas between several of the characters, an evil stepmother, an overbearing family who expect the son to marry for business rather than love, and no one is who they appear to be. It's a story that draws you in, has you questioning every comment, looking for answers that probably aren't there and has your imagination working overtime.

I'm looking forward to reading book two!

Growing up in Alabama I never knew of the good books that could come out of my state and this book is one of them. I love reading a book and hearing about sweet tea. Seriously I know you don’t care but it made my day. This book has a lot of screaming moments to the point I could have slapped Breesan a couple of times and it had some good action. Not that kind of action ladies but some good fighting action.
Breeson, Breeson, Breeson. Broken and devastated would sum up her life. Which makes you feel sorry for her but then again I wanted to say snap out of it sweetie. She had two hot guys after her and well you will have to read to see who she chose. She is a gorgeous, smart, and quite feisty one; I think that is the southern coming out in her. I liked the fact that she was strong enough to fight when she needed to and she backed down when needed to. She also had to find herself in many different ways and aspect of her life.
Then you have Julia. One word comes to mind when I think about her and it is Bitch.
Then we meet Morgan. Sigh….He is hot, charming, and a player. He is something else ladies. He intrigues me and makes me want to believe in him but he makes it hard for you to do that.
Marcus…..SIGH…..he is so sweet, hot, charming, built, sexy…ok I could go on and on about him. He has is head on straight more than Morgan. He is after something more and I truly wanted more.
This book has some great characters in it besides the ones I have mentioned. The all fit together really well. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and hated the cliff hanger ending. So now I have to bide my time till the sequel comes out. It is well worth the read and I give it 4 stars. So go and get it so we can discuss!!!

Well I will not lie that when I started this book I didn't know if I would like it boy I was wrong. This book is filled with suspense, drama, and love. Be All is about a girl who at the age of 5 lost everything she loved her parents and what child could even loose so much. Breesan closed herself off from everyone no love, no friends, no nothing. However 2 very pesky people continue to be in her life from the time she was born Anna and Tristen are 2 friends who love her but who she won't allow herself to love back. When she is finally old enough to stay home for the summer because her evil step mom always sends her away she comes in contact with 2 very dashing men. Twin Morgan and Marcus but her connection to them runs deep and she doesn't know why just that the pull she has towards them. Her step mother Julia who has never been nice to her a day in her life has a connection to Marcus that is shocking and revelations that of course she wants Breesan out of the way is even more shocking. Breesan's story will no doubt leave you always guessing along with the thoughts of both Morgan and Marcus and what they try to do to win her heart. But before that can happen the truth of why the bothers no longer speak to each must come out along with Marcus's involvement with the stepmother. Can Breesan forgive him and give her heart to him or will she choose Morgan? Suspense is a killer in this one and you won't want to miss it.

I liked the idea of the story but I felt like the book focused too much on the emotions of the main characters. I felt like their every thought and feeling was overanalyzed to the point of exhaustion. A lot of it was really repetitive and I ended up skipping it. I wish there was more progress in regards to the plot and I would've liked if more secrets were revealed. Even at the end of the story, I still don't know much more than I did when I started.

It is good start to a series and I will probably continuing reading it but I just wasn’t wowed yet.

I would describe this book as more of a suspenseful voyage with a twist of romance. It was packed with so many questions with not many answers...needless to say this book was a very dramatic build-up to the next book. I loved the suspenseful moments and the characters were very well developed. With me being a "love junkie" I would have loved more of the mushy gushy stuff but this book was a good change of pace from the average norm. The 2nd book will be a must to see how everything ties together.

Amazing!!! I can't stop thinking about this book. I don't know how I am going to make it until the next book comes out. This book gives you romance with just the right amount of suspense. It was a perfect combination. Breesan has been hurt by her family and closes herself off. Morgan and Marcus are twin hotties who both have feelings for her. I don't want to give anything away but let me just say Hurry up November!!! Marie Wathen you rocked this book!!!

Ok so I stood up until 3:00 am to read Be All, I could not put it down, with that said let me sat Marcus and Morgan are so yum, I fell in love with them both Breesan was such a strong character and she deals with so much, all three do not do relationships but the connection is instant. There is so many twists and turns in this book, slurry moles but it was so worth it, I can not wait for book 2.

I ended up enjoying the book and have to read #2 but the first part of the book was kinda confusing with everything going on, still A LOT to be covered and answered in book 2. Overall it is an interesting read.

I really couldn't take the back and forth and sort of scattered telling of the story. I also think that the going back and forth with the I love you, I hate you was a bit much. It was a free book but I was still dissapointed. Not really interested in reading the next one :|

Fantastic! Cover caught my interest. 2 extremely sexy twins, a rock of a best friend and so many close friendships entwined with a bit of suspense, whole lot of lust and constant action = addicted! Can't wait to get started on the next one!
