It is unbelievable to see how money and politics get the better of man, of institutions, of principles. I was stunned to learn that celibacy was set only for reasons of pecuniary, and even more stunned at the cruelty of those in high places, that are with no regard to human beings and their well-being.

I found the book content rather disorganised.

My conclusion:
This Bible verse says it best: Better fall in the hands of God than in the hands of men (see 2 Samuel 24:14)

Secondo incontro con l'autore nel giro di qualche giorno, purtroppo presi il libro senza guardare chi l'avesse scritto. Di nuovo una raccolta che già dopo i primi capitoli diventa noiosa e ripetitiva. Tempo perso.

V slovenščini: Sex inVatikan. Predstavitev primerov, ki ponazarjajo, da so tudi duhovniki in redovnice samo ljudje in pod vpršaj postavlja smiselnost celibata.

Prima di tutto il titolo: improponibile. Prendere spunto da una serie tv è davvero triste. Come le ragazzine delle medie che si firmano mettendo una y alla fine per apparire più fighe. Roby Michy Francy Ely Cry. Sex and the Vatican, oh yeah.
Poi l'autore. Per lunghi tratti pensavo che il libro parlasse di lui, non del Vaticano, né di sesso. Come suggeriva Dino Risi per Nanni Moretti, verrebbe da dirgli "levati, mettiti da parte, lasciami leggere il libro".
Infine il tema. A me che delle persone consenzienti pratichino attività sessuali, fossero anche le più disparate, non mi interessa nulla. A prescindere dalla loro professione. Preti e suore che fanno sesso sono come giardinieri e gelataie: se ne hanno voglia lo fanno, altrimenti no.
Insomma, va giusto bene per cattolici appena appena disillusi che vogliono trovare conferme alla loro disillusione.

A book with nowadays problems ob catholique church .... with problems that they don't want to admit they have .... not a difficult reading, but very informative ....
