Dave Fletcher, retiring FBI agent, is in a world of trouble. He is being framed, his Uncle Rex dies and a few hours before his death he changes his will to leave his millions to an unknown nurse in Cancun. His brother who he's been estranged from for 30 years shows up on his doorstep and he's having problems committing to his girlfriend.
I found the characters real. I found Dave singularly focused, not sharing things with those around him sometimes to his own detriment. Hensley, Dave's brother, a carefree wanderer who I found tedious at times but in the end comes through for Dave in the end. Masie is the nurse that was there when Dave's uncle, Rex Stone, died in Cancun. She is a bit naive and Dave's main suspect for Rex's murderer.
Endless Vacation is well written.....As the story goes on more layers of subterfuge are added making it more and more interesting.
For anyone who loves mysteries I would recommend Endless Vacation. I am definitely going to check out more by Brad Whittington.
