A newcomer to the clan, jackal shifter Amarie has tried to deflect the interest of male jackals, hiding a secret that could destroy her prospects as a mate. But she can’t deny that warriors Kurik and Rashon, who have forged their own relationship, fuel her sensual fantasies.Despite his strong bond with Kurik, Rashon’s heart has made room for Amarie-and he wants to make to room for her in their bed, too. At first Kurik fears losing his lover, but the temptation of sharing her as their mate is too tempting to resist. And if any female can handle two virile jackal guards, it’s Amarie…
Seressia Glass is an award-winning author of urban fantasy, contemporary romance and paranormal romance. Her current series include the Shadowchasers urban fantasy series and the Sons of Anubis paranormal romance series.
Seressia lives south of Atlanta with her guitar-wielding husband and two bulldozer cane corsos and a senior poodle. When not working on her next story, Seressia spends her free time watching way too much anime and Kdramas.
This is straight up erotica, but it is so very well written and the characters are completely endearing. I enjoy this world. This is maybe the second book with a triad where I can see it working - I think the worldbuilding helps with the believability.
Amarie is caste out of her pack but is welcomed into Markus packs. Rashone and Kurik are fated mates and both fall in love with Amarie. When they learn her secret, everyone is hurt and Amarie walks away angry. She encounters the Lost Ones and nearly loses her life. Sweet romance in this story. I loved that is a commited gay couple and not a mfm story.
This is another quick erotic read in the same world of the first book. This time the newcomer to the tribe is Amarie a female jackal from another clan, and she comes bearing scars and secrets. Placed with a mated pair. Rashon & Kurick to help her settle in, she formed a strong friendship that is her bond and basis here. Feeling like she needs to make a place for herself Amarie joins the security forces so that she will fit in better. Her sense of home is tested however when Rashon falls in the heat of battle and is cursed.
Rashon's one of the jackal's hurt in the first book with Tia & Markus. When he's cured and after having such a scare wants to reassure his mate Kurik and secure the other half of his heart Amarie. I don't know what it was about this one ( yes I do, I love the hell out of polyamorous romances). but the emotions were high for me. I found myself tearing up when Amarie opened up about her past, when the men re-connected after they feared for the other and just. This slayed me. It has the right balance of romance, adventure and emotional moments and all of this in less than 100 pages.
I absolutely loved this story. I loved how it drew me in and made me want more, from them, from the clan and just more form the world. I loved how loving and amazing Kurik & Rashon were. I loved that they offered genuine friendship and then fell in love, with each other and then made room for Amarie. Just awesome. a fantastic blend of seriously erotic love and the newfound romance, along with some kick-ass adventure and battles. This of course aided in advancing the overall story and made you fall in love with the world even more.
I know I have been gushing about her books recently but I really did fall in love with this trio and wish we could get more from them. There is one more book in this series and then it's done for now as well. If you're looking for a great friends to lovers romance then I highly recommend this one.

Seducing The Jackal (Sons of Anubis 1) RECOMMENDATIONS
The Shadowchaser series LA Banks Vampire Huntress Series Happy Reading my loves,
Hunting the Jackal is the second book in Seressia Glass’s Sons of Anubis series. In this installment jackal Rashon is recovering from injuries that almost killed him. He and his mate Kurick have discovered they have another mate, Amarie. Amarie is new to their pack, having been thrown out of her previous pack. The triad’s relationship is scorching hot! I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance with hot sexy times.
Loved it. I read this one almost immediately after the first in the series. I have to admit to being pleasantly surprised by the menage aspect of the story yet it was handled perfectly within the context. The worldbuilding in this series is excellent, not the least bit detracting from the story and blends in seamlessly. Another excellent read!
I am really enjoying this series. This one is a menage. I LOVED the interaction, the struggle, and the connection between the triad members. The traumatic part got to me really good. It just goes to show that people will do crazy things for love. And the author is really good at capturing her audience even in novella. READ this series.
After being abused and banished from her old clan, pretty jackal shifter Amarie is thankful for her new clan. And wisely Marcus the clan leader has housed Amarie with the charming Rashon and protective Kurik – a couple who have been mated for over a century. As an easy friendship develops over shared interests, it is a near-death crisis that spurs Rashon to want more than friendship from Amarie on a permanent basis. Kurik’s concern is two-fold – does Rashon want Amarie instead of him and what is he going to do about his attraction to Amarie. Meanwhile, Amarie fantasizes being tangled up in the sheets with both men, surprised at this sexual hunger as her old clan only viewed sex as necessary for procreation not for pleasure. Mostly she is afraid what will happen once they learn her secret, but just once with the couple may be worth being ostracized. Can the two men convince Amarie that they have enough love in their hearts and room in their bed for her, or will the commitment-shy Amarie fall victim to her past?
HUNTING FOR THE JACKAL is a sweet erotic tale featuring a wounded-soul heroine and a pair of virile warriors bonding into a tantalizing triad. Once again, Glass masterly evokes her characters emotions and their growth skillfully through language and action. Rashon’s charm and gentle nature and Kurik’s protective nature allow Amarie to come out of her protective shell and leave her past behind. I enjoy stories where I can be as emotionally involved in the outcome as the characters. But it will be the love scenes that showcase the sweet and the erotic of a sizzling relationship as the characters heat up the pages. And the skillful handling of the ménage trois scenes seem as natural as breathing.
This novella, the second book in The Sons of Anubis series, stands on its own, though reading the first book will give a better context of the backstory. I would have liked to see a little more worldbuilding to help advance the overarching series conflict; however the appearance of prior characters helps to maintain the series continuity.
HUNTING THE JACKAL is a deeply emotional love story with strong characters and perfect pacing that will appeal to readers who like stories with an edgy sexual element.
As a jackal shifter new to the clan, Amarie has done everything in her power to make herself as unavailable to the men as possible. She has a secret that can destroy her dreams of two warriors that she is highly attracted to.
Kuirk and Rashon have been partners for a very long time when Amarie catches their attention. Will she be able to have her sexual fantasy come true, or will the three be torn apart?
I loved Hunting the Jackal. It is very touching to read about how two lovers are interested in another. It is not about your typical threesome–it is about love, and the sacrifices you sometimes have to make. It was very easy to fall in love with the characters.
Hunting the Jackal was a wonderful story, and I really appreciated the way the author was able to draw you in, and keep you interested from beginning to end. I was very impressed with the visualization that you get from each word that is written. I will be putting all of Seressia Glass’s books on the very top of my TBR list. You do not want to miss this one.
I am really enjoying this series. I hope to get more books from the author in this world. I just hate that this was a short story....I wanted more! Great job!
