Layne Harper is a mom, wife, book junkie, and sports fanatic. However, when the kids and husband are safely ensconced at school and work, she slips into her office with her three rescue dogs and writes until it’s time to drive carpool. Her children have no idea about her secret life (and they hopefully never will), and the dogs won’t tell. She’s always writing in her mind though and making notes on whatever is close by; envelopes, napkins, a kid’s homework…

“Hey Charlie,” he mumbled.
“What?”
“Marry me.”
“No Colin. Not today”

HOLY FUCKING EPILOGUE :O I AM GOING TO CUT THE BITCH. [but I read the author's comment that the person doesn't have even a side character type role in book2, so my nerves feel better]

I seriously need the second book now, but I'm glad its only barely 2 months away :D :D Aug, 2013.

•LOVED the book!!
•Dialogue delivery needs working on; Don't get me wrong.. they were HOT but seemed very dragged/forced types at times
•Everything was Caroline/Charlie's fault :| She needed a good smack!
•You CANNOT find someone better than Colin. He's the ultimate. A fucking saint with the whole package!!
•Some lines were repeated and repeated and repeated; which was fucking pissing off.

Now, the review bit :) :P

I love a college romance story, like they are the best and the cutest. Add sports and a guy like Colin to it.. its a golden book ;)
I LOVED COLIN. He was P-R-E-F-E-C-T! Like the kind of guy you read about in fairytales and want to marry! Loving, devoted, loyal, a totally hunk, a sex machines, handsome, amazing personality, beautiful nature = effing perfect.

Charlie had issues, I mean yes.. she had a bit of a weird childhood but you don't let your fucking past control your life.
Charlie was selfish. VERY SELFISH.

Dialogue deliver felt forced to me, it felt like a theater narration nor a movie kinda delivery..
Pace, dialogue delivery and character build-up are the most important things in a book according to me.
This book had a beautiful pace and amazing character build-up..

The fights in the book were weird. They seemed weird because they would start with one thing and land up somewhere else. And they felt very out of the blue types.

Don't get me wrong.. I loved the book.. but it needs a littttle work! :)

“I know, Charlie, but you are moving on, or in, with bigger and better things,” he said, taking my hand and placing it on his very hard erection. I smiled at him and licked my lips. I really did appreciate where he was coming from (pun intended).

I don't do the reviews, I'm not good at these but after I read this book I've to write it for myself, because everytime I read a book it gets me into a space where I live it. This book was nothing but confusing, depressing write.

I believe in love, so very much. I'm a believer in fairy-tales romances, where in the end love wins over everything. I can stand everything, every hardship, I can even stand break-ups, lefting out, storming out when you're angry with the person you love. The only thing I hate is cheating, being so selfish for your own good that you start using the emotion of the person who loves you devotedly & hide this hideous act in the name of guilt. It reminded me little bit of 'Effortless'. I don't usually use such a harsh term, but I still hate Keira. And I don't like Caroline either. A guy loves you with all his heart, with all of everything he has and yet you choose to walk over. There are many instance which directs her selfishness but I don't want to read & mention all those again. When you can't appreciate the love you have, when you can't get out of the competition, when you can't get over yourself then it is not worth mentioning. Because my dear in love there is no me and no you, in love there's only us.

I told you I'm not good at writing reviews but this book made me, I loathed it so much but still I have huge respect of love, I still believe that love wins it all and those who walk out on love, well I hope they still get back to it while they can.

And this book is not good at all, I've read too many love stories, too much of anguish in them, too much of heart wrenching too but this was nothing. I guess I've to read 'Fifty Shades Trilogy' again to remind me of all the love which can exist.

“Charlie, when you walked into your dad’s office on the first day we met, I knew that you were something special. These last two years haven’t always been easy, but I never once regretted meeting you until this moment. You are the only person that I have ever given my whole self to and you are destroying me before you are even giving me a chance to make our lives complete.”

I am completely blown away by Falling Into Infinity by Layne Harper. I was not expecting to fall head over in heels in love with both Colin and Caroline “Charlie”. I devoured this book in one long sitting without putting it down. I just couldn’t! I was completely captivated with the romance of Colin & Charlie and what would become of their relationship each wanting to succeed at their dreams that are also tearing them apart.

Falling Into Infinity tells the story of 20 year-old Caroline, known as Charlie to her friends and 21 year-old football star Colin. Both are students at Texas A&M who meet by chance. The two become friends but have feelings for one another immediately but don’t act on them. Colin is the big man on campus, he is not only unbelievably handsome but is also the star quarterback and everyone on campus knows who he is. Charlie is your average college student who is focusing on the future and getting into med school. Finally the two admit their feelings and begin a world wind romance. They have the most perfect college romance and everything seems perfect until Colin is drafted by the NFL to go to Dallas and Charlie is admitted to Harvard all the way in Boston. They both want their dreams to come true but can they have their dreams and each other?

Falling Into Infinity is a wonderful story told in a 10 year span. I LOVED THIS! It was so perfect for the story. I loved that you got to know Colin & Charlie when they were young and first meeting, fast forward to 8 years later and where they are in their lives. The book is told completely through the POV of Charlie throughout the years.

At first, I didn’t like Charlie. She had this amazing guy she was constantly pushing away. She had so many issues involving her parents’ divorce from when she was younger she couldn’t believe in the forever type of love that she had with Colin. That all changed, as I kept reading I started to love Charlie and understood where she was coming from. I respected her, she had her dreams too and why shouldn’t she get them just like Colin was getting his? She turned into my favorite character from the book.

“I’m going to keep asking you to marry me until you say yes.” He mumbled at me. “You do that. One day, I might say yes.”

Colin, well Colin ladies is pretty amazing too. He is unbelievably sweet and romantic toward Charlie; he asks her to marry him every day, like he is so sure if their relationship he wants her in his life forever but he also wants to his dream of the NFL too. He wants the big mansion, the 2.5 kids, the career, and only with Charlie. Now don’t get me wrong I love Colin but he was a bit stalkerish at times. He was over whelming too but he sure did love Charlie and would do anything for her. He just loved her so much.

It is almost like two books one. I don’t want to say too much and ruin the story for you because it was such a great surprise the turn of events. The ending leaves on a bit of a cliff hanger to prepare you for the next book in the series, but nothing that will drive you crazy, I promise! I hate cliff hangers too! It sounds like so much drama, I can’t wait! Gosh it sounds good. I can’t wait to devour that book as well.

Ms. Layne Harper’s debut novel is written beautifully and wonderful story romance readers will fall in love with just like I did.

I give Falling Into Infinity 4.5 Stars.

Ummmmm....okay. First let me start off by saying that my emotions (mostly anger and confusion) were all over the place when reading Falling Into Infinity

 photo Jennifer-Lawrence-shaking-head-animated.gif

Saw high ratings. Read some reviews. Decided to give it a shot.

Immediately upon starting on this adventure, I had to bite my tongue. Charlie came off a bit immature, standoffish and not what I was expecting to be introduced to so immediate in the story. But, I still progressed to find out what her deal was.

Then I meet Colin. Or Colin.Fucking.McKinley as his girlfriend so endearly likes to call him.
He's cocky, a bit possessive but head over heels in love with his girlfriend. There's nothing he wouldn't do for Charlie - as long as she stood barefoot in his kitchen with a swollen belly while he lived the all American football player dream.

side eye gif photo: aragornsideeye.gif

The first part of the book goes back forth from the past, when Charlie and Colin first met, how their relationship developed, etc., etc., etc.

During this part of the story, Charlie is forced to make the ultimate decision - does she go to Harvard Medical School or stay back to live Colin's dream, not living her own?

 photo tumblr_inline_mg1fme8s9k1rxl1gr.gif

Eight Years Later - Part Two

Caroline (no more Charlie...she's a big girl now) has now advanced in her career, working side by side with her Father.

Happenstance, events lead that reunite Colin & Caroline.

 photo tumblr_lt6lqqWMRc1r4ghkoo1_500.gif

Immediately, the sparks are there. The lust and love they once had at 21 years of age are still strong eight years later.

In my opinion, I feel like Caroline gave in to easily. Yes, they both walked away from each other when they were younger, but it just all happened way to fast (the rekindling of their romance).

There are some thing have happened to both the characters in the time apart - Colin's rise to fame, his other relationships that have gone south...and for Caroline, working towards achieving her dreams, battling her own personal demons and trying to move on from her past relationship with Colin.

DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT...

Then something happens in the book that I AM NOT A FAN OF...I almost wish I was warned...CHEATING!!!!
This is the point where my anger went spiraling out of control.

He was cheating on his current whatever you want to call her. He didn't tell Charlie that he was seeing someone.

 photo tumblr_m77skksYMr1ql5yr7o1_400.gif

When he does tell her...I was expecting her get stark-raving mad, chop off his junk...something!!
Instead, she lectures him like a five year old and agrees to continue this little thing they have going on because he doesn't feel the same way about his "current gf" as she does for him. He loves Charlie and it will always be only her.

 photo kaney-west-interview-0.gif

Needless to say, the rest of the story was them declaring their love to one another, sneaking away to do naughty things, making no sense to me whatsoever and really making me want to knock out Colin and bitch slap Charlie/Caroline for letting him manipulate her so much towards the end.

I hope he gets what's coming to him (as the epilogue of the story entails) in the second book.

Now, even though I've vented above, there is still some sick, twisted part of me that has to freaking read book two because I really, really, really want to see what happens to them.

These two do not deserve to be with each other because they are just a hot mess. Drama. Drama. Drama. Fights.

And I Love You's. Crazy Sex. Declarations for Infinity.

Sigh.

Love is truly sweeter the second time around.

I really loved the story of Colin.Fucking.McKinney and Caroline "Charlie" Collins. I have always been such a fan of books that are sports-related so Colin being a quarterback definitely got me interested right from the start. But most importantly, I truly believed their story.
“Hey Charlie,” he mumbled.
“What?”
“Marry me.”
“No Colin. Not today,” I replied sweetly.

There's an old saying, "If you love something, you have to let it go. If it comes back to you, it's yours forever. If it doesn't, then it was never meant to be." Sometimes, if you really want to give a relationship a better chance to work, you have to step back even if it breaks your heart.

This reminded me so much of what Colin and Charlie had to go through. In their case, they had to wait eight years to have that second chance.

Yes, some would probably think Charlie to be stupid for doing what she did. How could she even let someone like Colin go when he seemed perfect, not to mention hot, talented and successful? He seemed to be like anyone's ideal guy. He loved Charlie so much that he already knew for sure that his future included her.

But Charlie had issues that she had to overcome and the love and need that Colin felt for her eventually overwhelmed her. Plus, she also wanted to pursue her dreams of becoming a doctor, to succeed in life much like he was doing. She truly believed that Colin deserved to have the best of her and as long as she felt inadequate and restless, she couldn't be that for him.

So I honestly get how she had to make that choice. Too bad she had to break his heart in the process. However, I know that it wasn't easy for her too. How could it when she also loved him so much? But it just wasn't the right time for them and she had to love herself more at that point. And I also think that Colin had some maturing to do since being that needy and dependent on someone isn't healthy for a relationship too.

In the end, being apart really worked in their favor.
"Colin, I love you," I whisper.
"I know baby. You told me," he says confused. "Why are you crying?"
"No, Colin. You don't understand. For the first time in my whole life there are no nagging doubts in my mind about us and if we can make this work. I love you. I love you enough to put you first."

The first part of the book alternated between the present and the past and the second part was about what happened eight years after. Although that seemed like a lot of things were going on, I felt that the author was able to cover all the bases. It didn't feel like it was rushed or crammed all in one book. However, there were times when I didn't like how the story was narrated. It felt forced and it just didn't flow as naturally as it should have.

Another thing that I didn't like about the story was how Colin and Charlie eventually came together in the end. Personally, it didn't seem smart for them to start on the wrong foot. I didn't like how there was another person involved which led me to not like the epilogue. But I guess this was needed for the plot of the second book (of course this had to be another series).

All in all, I enjoyed reading how Colin and Charlie's love story unfolded. I'm looking forward to the next installment which thankfully will be out in two months. So please Layne Harper, write faster! Haha!

Falling Into Infinity is a very nice debut from new author Layne Harper!! This story has drama and just the right amount of light-hearted humor, and it should appeal well to those who enjoy both.

Caroline Collins, better known as Charlie to her friends and most of her family, is a young, determined, goal-oriented Sophomore when she meets quarterback Colin McKinney. Their relationship grows slowly from friendship into much more, and this is cause for concern in Charlie’s mind. Her immediate plans DO NOT include falling in love. That is only supposed to occur after finishing medical school. Well, love doesn’t necessarily wait for the right time. Colin is soon drafted by Dallas to play professional football, and a new level of pressure is added to their life together—the fans, the media spotlight, the constant demand for more. On top of that, early on, Colin begins asking Charlie to marry him…a question he repeats numerous times throughout their first two years together. He is desperate to keep Charlie and make a life with her in Dallas. When Charlie is accepted into, arguably, the top medical school in the country…and it’s nowhere near Texas…she is emotionally torn by the decision to go or stay and make a life with Colin. All of the stress and pressure lead her back down an unhealthy path. Charlie’s final decision leaves both of them badly hurt, but it’s the only one she feels she can make. Eight years later, the two have matured, settled into their professional lives, and meet again at an event both are attending. It may finally be the right time for each of them.

I have to start by saying that my introduction to Charlie was not one that had me immediately in her corner. All the talk of expensive cars, handbags, her football-star boyfriend…it all came off a bit too elitist and, frankly, spoiled to me. However, my memory soon returned, and I recalled my days of living in the great state of Texas. I realized early on that Charlie was just a typical Texas girl, and once that settled for me, she and I got along just fine. She was also very young, no matter how driven she was, and it helped to keep that in mind, as well. In fact, I came to very much like and root for Charlie as the story went along. I do wish that her character would have been explored with just a bit more depth, and particularly as it pertained to her eating disorder. But, I could feel how she was torn by the decision which needed to be made between Colin and medical school. I could feel that she wasn’t as committed to the relationship with Colin, and I actually supported her in that. She made the right decision in leaving for medical school, and I was SO pleased to see her character make a smart, mature move like that!

Colin. Well, Colin most definitely had lovable qualities. He spoiled his girl. He made certain she was safe. He never cheated on her. But, for me, Colin was a bit too desperate to hang on to Charlie, and, to me, it made him appear almost a little bit unbalanced at moments. Reading is very subjective, so it’s entirely possible I’m in the minority in my opinion on that. I also could never understand what caused him that level of desperation. Or, maybe it’s better said that I could never feel what caused him that level of desperation. It almost seemed like that had to stem from something beyond his love for her, and I wish that would have been explored. I have to agree that Charlie made the right decision to leave him for medical school.

One thing I really, really loved about Falling Into Infinity is that it spanned a decade. I absolutely love when we are allowed to grow and mature along with the characters, and Layne Harper did a fantastic job with this!! It was so much fun to see the adult versions of Charlie, once again going by Caroline, and Colin. I could feel the difference in them. I could feel the difference in their relationship. Whatever drove Colin’s desperation early in their relationship, it was thankfully toned down by the time they met again. Their love and passion was still strong, but it felt right this time. Or, maybe it was just a matter of it finally being the right time.

Overall, I have to applaud Layne Harper on her debut as an author! Taking a love of writing and transforming that into an actual story has got to be a frightening, nerve-wracking, time-consuming, soul-searching effort of immense proportions. Aside from a lack of contractions in the dialog which made for some stilted conversations between characters, I wouldn’t nitpick the writing. I know that with time and experience, as in all things, this author will continue to evolve and mature and find her ‘voice’. Personally, I cannot wait to see what else Layne Harper has in store for us if Falling Into Infinity is her debut book!!

I loved Colin, loved him with my whole heart, but he should have never gotten involved with that uppity bish.

This is Charlie for you:

nag..nag..i love you..nag..let's have sex...nag..nag..I'm jealous...nag...nag...you're not paying attention to me..nag and some more friggin naggin!

By the end, (Don't ask me how I made it without my eyeballs getting stuck in a permanent roll) I disliked her so much..poor Colin he, he deserves a trophy dealing with that psycho! And it's a sequel..sorry to say but I won't be reading the next one, and saddest part? I'm not even tempted.

At first...

By the end of the book...

I might have given this 5 stars, but then came the epilogue and I knew it wouldn't end here. Now I have to sit and wait for August to hopefully get a HEA! Very enjoyable read. I would never have guessed this to be a debut novel. Looking forward to reading more from Layne Harper. Can't wait until the next one is out.

Charlie is graduating from college and heading to medical school to follow in her father’s footsteps. Charlie’s father and mother were married when he was in medical school and her mother supported him along with 4 daughters during his post-graduate years. Once the father was established in his practice he left his wife for the head nurse. Charlie’s mother never got to experience the life that she had worked so hard to support. Instead she was barely keeping it together for the girls and there were never any extras for her daughters, unlike her father’s new family. Deep down Charlie believes that if she is successful as a medical doctor that she will win approval from her father and receive that unconditional love that she has been reaching for all her life. All this brings tremendous stress to Charlie’s life and sometimes the only way she can cope is by pushing herself to the limits in terms of physical activity. This isn’t healthy for her.

Colin…What can I say? He’s a hottie. He has just completed his first year as an NFL quarterback and is so in love with Charlie. Sometimes his love becomes a little overbearing for Charlie and he smothers her and she can’t make decisions on her own. Colin wants her to attend medical school in the same town as his NFL team. He has their lives all planned out. Every day he asks her to marry him hoping that one day Charlie will say yes.

Charlie is given a huge opportunity to attend college at Harvard. She goes back and forth on whether or not she and Colin can survive a long-distance relationship. Colin’s personality is not the type to allow Charlie to be on her own. He wants…no, he NEEDS, to make certain that their life is perfect. He would worry too much about Charlie being all those miles away, and Charlie knows that he would focus only on her and not on his NFL career. Charlie has to make a decision. She needs to decide what path she will choose. Either way she chooses she will something…her dream or Colin.

This is one of those books that was a pleasant surprise to find and fall in love with. I loved the characters and their story of love. Of course not all love stories are paved with hearts and flowers, and this was one of those stories that although their path was clearly outlined, there was a detour that took them off that path. The detour was rough, and it brought me to tears on more than one occasion. This is the first book in the series, with three more books to follow and the second one has recently been released.

This was an interesting read for me. At first I couldn't believe what Charlie was doing but after sleeping on it, I get it. There were many parts that I liked about the book.

Charlie was young and had plans and felt suffocated. She was consumed with Colin and had demons that needed to be conquered. Her decisions came from a very mature place for a 21 year old girl who had hot, rich, superstar boyfriend.

Speaking of said boyfriend, Colin was awesome. I loved the way he treated her, how he only had eyes for her; he was all-American personified. His addiction to her seemed unhealthy to me and somewhat unnatural but only because I've never seen a man that wrapped up in a woman. I guess if I were the object of his affection I'd probably feel differently.

One issue for me was the time between the past and the present being one of them. The writing and how they spoke of the time frame made it seem that Charlie graduated from Harvard Med in two years, that seems short to me? I also thought the amount of time that had passed was a lot. I got confused.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It felt very real to me and Charlie's honesty made it that way. I did not like the epilogue, just a warning.

I really enjoyed the first 75% of this book. I was a little confused at first with the way the book was set up with one chapter in the present and one in the past, but as I continued reading it started making more sense. It was the last 25% which threw me off a lot. To be honest, this book is more of a 3.5 than either a 3 or a 4 on the rating scale. I was frustrated with both Charlie and Colin for the way they behaved. Both in the past and the present. I was also a little disappointed. The book's ending is really surprising and the story itself is very good too. I can't wait to read the second book and find out what happens. I do hope I'll like Charlie and Colin more in the second book.

I must have read a different book to everyone else? I'm quite proud of myself for finishing this. I wanted to give up on quite a few occasions. I hate books where the guy is an arrogant asshat and bossy too. It didn't sit well with me at all. I really didn't like this story at all. As for the ending? I don't think I will be continuing with this series because I really don't care what happens.

I'm all inlove with this bittersweet tale of young love that transcends through time.Such a beautiful and sweet story of love that it made my heart burst in happiness but it also made my heart ached for the character's broken love.

"If you love something, you have to let it go. If it comes back to you, it's yours forever. If it doesn't, then it was never meant to be." This saying was a perfect description on how Collins and Charlie's love went through.
I had to admit that there's a moment on the book that I found Charlie as a very annoying, selfish, and coward character. There were times that she showed how less her love for Collin.I know that her leaving Collin was part of the great outcome of the book but still it broke my heart that she easily let go the only person that love her the most. Collin was such a sweet and loving soul.he never failed to show and say how much he treasure her girlfriend. I'ts so sweet of him to ask Charlie everyday to marry him. and I came to realize that bit by bit he loses himself because of her love for Charlie. So the 8 years separation was really healthy to both of them. Though they've both struggled at first, but then they became the person that they should be for each other. They've both reached their dream career and became solely independent for themselves.
I've seen that time never faded their string love and longing for each other but instead time made them both stronger and whole. they've realized that through their long separation they finally healed their hearts and ready to share it with each other as a whole and not something less as their first love been.
I'm so happy happy for their reunion but then all frustrated that I had to wait for the next book to find out what will happen next to their story and the impending threat to their newly reunited relationship.

What did I want to do after reading Falling Into Infinity??
<< angry photo: pissed_off.gif >/>

Yeah! That's what I felt like doing. Only not to myself, to the book. This book was so fricking absurd that I just wanted to open my BBQ girl and have a little bonfire. You think I'm joking??

<<<serious photo: Not sure if serious serious_zps286a7793.jpg>/>

Because I'm not! This novel was so, so, so, terrible. I wanted to duct tape Colin so bad. He was an egotistical, controlling, abusive, man whore!! You would think I would sympathy for the girlfriend Charlie, but I don't!! Colin treats Charlie like crap for YEARS, yet she does nothing to stand up for herself. She lets Collin bully her on where to go to medical school, what to where, where to live, even what friends she can hang out with.

Doesn't that sound like an abusive relationship? Because it does to me!!

If Colin truly loved Charlie he would be happy for her that she got into Harvard Medical School. It wouldn't matter the distance. If Colin is the perfect boyfriend he would say there relationship can work, despite the distance between them. I' sorry, but this novel was completely terrible. And guess what ladies and gentlemen? There's going to be more novels following this book. Because apparently this book is a series. Isn't that great or what!?!? :(

Wow!!!! Loved loved loved the story between Colin and Charlie!!
This is the story of two people whose paths crossed which led to friendship, passion, and love!
Colin was the quarterback for Texas A&M and was destined for the NFL. He grew up with a great family and had what people only dreamed of.
Charlie grew up from a divorced family and watched first hand how her dad destroyed their family with infidelity. She had a plan...no love or boyfriends until med school. Too bad things don't always work that way.
Charlie met Colin at her dad's practice, he's a doctor too! For months, I once a week Charlie would drive Colin to her dads office for rehab. They bonded and grew close but that was it. Finally after months of seeing each other feelings came out and a relationship bloomed.
Unfortunately things don't always work the way we want them to. Charlie couldn't deal with the popularity that Colin receives being a football player and she realizes she doesn't want to give up on her dreams of med school. Things don't always work out.
After no communication for quite some time the two run into each other and the passion is still there. is it enough to make it work this time???

I absolutely love Colin!!! I did get frustrated with Charlie at times but I can understand where she is coming from. I would have been fine with an HEA but I'm very excited to see there's more to the Colin and Charlie story!!! Can't wait!!!

Brilliant brilliant book. I was holding my breath all the way. I couldnt breathe. Just awaiting what happens next was sucking out all the air from me.

Charlie is a great herione in this book. I felt like slapping her throughout the book. Some decisions she made, made me frustrated. I wanted her to be stronger in some situations. Overall she is a strong hearted girl. She made the right decision.

Colin..WOW!Words cannot describe how awesome, brillant, wonderful, sexy, hot, loving, romantic, sweet character. He just keeps getting better and better throughtout the book. I am in awe with him. He brings out so many emotions of love.

All these characters are written to perfection, as well as the supporting cast. The way the book was written was incredible. I felt every emotion, my heart beating a thousand miles when a situation is heated, full of agnst or just pure love and sweetness.

The love between Colin and Charlie is EPIC and powerful. Two souls meeting together makes love so insanely BIG. I could feel the chemistry sparkling between them. The words coming out of Colin made me giddy its overwhelming.

A wonderful book to read. Layne, you are a talented writer and storyteller. This book will be one of my best books of 2013. I cant wait for the 2nd book.

At the beginning of this book I was thinking I was not going to like this book because it starts off in the middle of the relationship between Colin and Charlie...but then....it gets interesting!
Colin is a college football quarterback, destined for stardom, Charlie is the daughter of an Orthopedic Surgeon specialiizing in athletic injuries and a college student studying pre-med. They are intruduced by her father because Colin cant drive to his doctors appointments and Charlie is pretty much ordered by her dad to drive Colin to his appointments. The attractions blooms from there. The romance is far from perfect, besides their mutual attraction and need for one another, their dreams and goals are not the same. This leads to a decision that is heartbreaking to the both of them. Suffice it to say that alot of time goes by before they get together again. The reunion has a palpable spark and I enjoyed reading it, they were both much more mature, yet still held an immeasurable attraction for one another. Now this is a series, so you know there is going to be some sort of a cliffy...this one is not horrible...but, the last chapter introduces the voice of someone who jusst might throw one hell of a wrench in their whole worlds!

Wow...! I'm speechless.. I loved this book, although right now I could scream...!!!! I want the second installment right now...!! Arrgh.. The cliff hanger killed me..! I have now adopted this book as one of my top list of favorites.. I was glued from the beginning.. What an amazing romantic love story.. It felt so real, the emotions of the characters felt so real, I was connected with them all the way.. I love love loved Collin.. Sex on legs.. Everything about him scream lust.. Him and Charlie had such an intense relationship.. I loved that the story was so different to others I have read.. I was looking at the number on the bottom of my ereader dreading that it was going to end.. I just wanted so much more.. There wasn't petty bullshit drama, it was deep emotional drama that pulled so many strings on your heart.. I have waited so long for this book it feels like and I can say that i was not disappointed in anyway.. Their love was so intense, steamy and romantic.. Three characteristics I love in a romance novel.. It was a trifecta.!!! Well done to layne, you have definitely left me speechless and in total lust.. I honestly cannot wait for the next book.. Ill be the first waiting for the release.. Buy it..! You will not be disappointed..!

4.5 stars.

I have to admit, I wasn't sure I was going to finish this one early on. The heroine grated on my nerves and if felt too childish but then shit got REAL.

I can't say that I'm happy he's with Dallas but I did love the Texas roots and the absolute true to size fascination we have with our football players from High School on up.

I'm not typically a fan of NA, which is likely why I struggled so much at the beginning. This is absolutely a powerful romance between two very stubborn, and let's be honest...dysfunctional twenty somethings.

Colin stole the show. He started off like a little bitch. No really, he did. I needed him to grow a pair like yesterday and grow a pair he did. Once that balance was established, his alpha moments were yum, I was ALL IN.

I will absolutely continue with this series.

*Please note, this ends with a kinda sorta cliffhanger but not to the point u'll want to set ur kindle on fire.*

Let me start out by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed this debut novel from author Layne Harper! Colin and Caroline (Charlie) were amazing characters and it was absolutely a joy to get lost in their story. I was captivated in every way by this book and spent a number of pages in tears, laughter and finally holding my breath a few times.

Here is the one thing that sets Layne Harper's book apart....we are all used to the girl loves boy, boy loves girl storyline. What took me a moment to get use to was the absolute love and devotion that Colin felt for Charlie and it never wavered. He was/is consumed by her but I'm rushing ahead.

My family couldn't find me this weekend because I kept avoiding them- I didn't want anyone interrupting my reading of the Infinity series by Layne Harper. I read the whole series in just a couple days, and stayed up late to do so.

I am a huge fan of sports romances and this series was a great addition to that genre. I read mixed reviews of the series (to each his own) but for me it was wonderful following the life and love of Caroline (Charlie) and star quarterback Colin over the four book series.

If you are on the fence, just try the first and hopefully you become addicted like I was. This book is also an Amazon Prime lending library book so if you are a member, you can borrow the book to see if you like it- if you are like me you will probably just turn around and buy the next three immediately afterwards.

i LOVED this book, and I don't ever write reviews. If you liked The Oppertunist by Tarryn Fisher, you will love this book. They are both AMAZING books, but this is in no way a copy or a bad remake. This story is about a girl who is in love with her boyfriend, but the first half of the book goes back and forth from them meeting and the beginning of their relationship, to them in their senior year of college where Charlie (the girl) has to make a very important decision about her and Colin's future. I loved this book because Colin and Charlie had fights and many faults, witch made it a realistic relationship. I couldn't put it down it was so good.

ok, here it is in short:
1. I LOVED this book!
2. The characters are awesome, Colin is an awesome hot football player; Charlie/Caroline is a bit of cold bitch, but she is likeable! LOL
3. The love between these 2 characters is an amazing to read, their joys, their struggles, their insecurities, their unending commitment
4. The book can be divided into 2 parts: Part 1 - their college years, Part 2 -their adult relationship
5. The book ends on a high note, but it will continue in a second book--it has no cliffhanger, but it definitely will continue.

Great, Great Love story! I can't wait to read book 2

I am in love! I don't know how I had not come across this book before now but I'm so glad I found it. I laughed, I screamed, I may have shed a tear or two. I absolutely loved it! The end in a certain persons point of view didn't make me very happy but I'm guessing that is what the drama will be in the next book, which I can not wait to start. Colin.Fucking.McKinney you are my new book boyfriend:)

This book is divided between the past and the present, and the past part goes between 3 years or so.
That part confused me a bit, I never knew (even when it was clear) when things happened.
But even so I was enjoying it before the present part.
I'm reading book 2 already, because now I can't stop!
Even though some things are not really relateable, my overall impression is good!
