My 8 year old son is using this book to plan a trip to Washington D.C. It is written where he can read a description and decide if he's interested for him and his 5 year old sister. It is intended to be used as a guide while you travel there and I think it would be good for that purpose also.

For teachers, this would be a great way to illustrate to students how to write about a place.

My then (nearly) 6 year old son loved this book when we travelled to DC last Spring. We're bringing it along again this time, and I'm looking forwards to seeing how much more he gets out of it,now that he's reading like a pro. Lots of fun for his younger sister too :)
