I don't deny I have a soft spot for aliens, especially if they are so cute as E.T. or Moobala Schmoobala. And I also have a soft spot for animals. So when Moobala Schmoobala visits Earth with his friend Boobala and encounters our animal kingdom, you get a super-cool picture book for kids!

On their exciting, enjoyable and peaceful journey to our planet they meet an eagle, a spider, fish, the bushbaby, coyotes, a dolphin, elephants, a giraffe, goats, hippos, a kudu, ostriches, a regal lion clan, and servals. Quite a bunch!

Illustrated by adorable images and written in a catchy rhyme by M.G. Wells, Moobala Schmoobala is a children's picture book, but grownups will love it too. Its intention is to teach the youngest ones about our wildlife and the harmony of coexistence on Earth and in the universe.

But there is also one other lesson, or moral, of this educational story meant for us adults. As kids, we dreamed big and believed anything was possible. Our world was beautiful, innocent and perfect, full of all kinds of creatures, wonders and possibilities.

If we only made ourselves to see it with these eyes again, on our return to innocence we would realize how amazing, special and promising it still was. For all of us.

This is a cute tale to entertain younger kids on many fronts. The story is fast-paced and holds your attention, the rhymes are snappy and have a pleasant cadence, and (best of all, in my opinion) the illustrations are beautiful, imaginative, quirky and fun.

Moobala Schmoobala has a best friend Boobala, they live on planet Googala. They are two colorful aliens, so cute and bubbly. Come join them as they explore planet earth together. They meet lots of animal friends along the way. This book is a rhyming book, it’s educational and full of fun characters . One of my favorites are Harley the hippo and his friends and Ella the elephant. It’s a well written story your child will have fun with while learning. Download this adorable rhyming book for your little one. Thank you M.G for sharing this adorable story with us.

This children's rhyming story follows Moobala Schmoobala and his teeny friend Boobala, aliens from planet Googala, on their visit to planet Earth. They journey all over the world and have silly interactions with both real and mythical creatures. Each page reads like a poem in itself, and children will delight in Ms. Wells' super-fantastical illustrations. I especially liked the back matter, where each mythical and earthly creature mentioned in the story is described, which could engage children for hours, even days after the story ends.

Moobala Schmoobala and his best friend Boobala are from Googala... A fun, light-hearted rhyme-filled picture book chronicling a trip to earth that's perfect for your little ones. It's not quite a dream fairy in an airship, but you do get to fly! With places to ponder and unusual animals to learn about, I liked that it was complete with that moment where you and your bestie travel buddy have lost one another, making the adventure all the more relatable and therefore believable.

We love Moobala Schmoobala, by M.G. Wells! Buying this book for our little son we found ourselves caught up by the story and enjoyed every little turn of it, which can be ticked into another fairy or learning talk. Flying through the story with Moobala and Boobala makes you flying through the dreams and their little adventure offers lessons for kids and parents as well. Kindness above all, friends’ support and a whole world full of wonders. Excellent illustrations. Our kudos to the author!

This is a wonderfully illustrated and crafted children's book. It's entertaining and educational and features Moobala Schmoobala, an extra-terrestrial from a planet called Googala. The rhyming narrative is perfect for children, especially young ones learning to read and the images and glossary at the end are fantastic for learning. A truly beautiful, entertaining book and excellent value too.

My five year old daughter said she liked the names and she liked the places they visited and she liked the book.

Moobala Schmoobala and his best friend Boobala visit Planet Earth and zoom around to different creatures. Both mythical and real creatures populate this book and a glossary at the back explains them. The illustrations are quirky and unique.

This well-illustrated children book attracts young kids’ attention immediately.
The story is well thought out with multiple meanings embedded in the colorful pages. While kids enjoy the story, they learn real life-related matters. Open the youngster’s mind in friendship, animals, and rhyming.
A must-have book for your little one or consider it as a beautiful gift for someone you know.

Cute concept and illustrations. There is a lot of rhyming and can easily be used to help reinforce the idea of what rhymes. Orally it is not smooth for story time but would work better one on one.

‘”Peace out!” I shout, and my words bounce off the moon.’

Author/artist MG Wells is a delight to meet in this upbeat children’s book that celebrates our persistent preoccupation with space and other planets matters. It is a fine way to introduce children to the world of ‘not-so-make-believe’ with a fine rhyming story with excellent, clever drawings.

Meet alien Moobala Schmoobala and his best friend Boobala from the planet Googala who informs us that ‘I can float and zoom and fly. My body is pure energy and I can never die. Below is the Earth, the moon, and the sky.’ Moobala is fed by lightning (‘Lightning is food for me – like water to a flower’) and visits Earth – the mountains, New York City, a forest where he meets bald eagle Joe, the mesas with coyotes, Egypt, a hot air balloon, the ocean (even underwater!), a wildflower garden, Africa with elephants and giraffes and hippos and big cats and ostriches – all of whom have funny names and become friends. He finally returns to Googala, satisfied with his trip to earth!

Not only is the story entertaining, it is also subtly educational and at book’s end, all animals – both mythical and real – are presented with fine factual information. Children will love the goofiness of the adventure, the rhyming manner in which it is offered, all while they learn about animals, space, and travel. Highly recommended.

Moobala Schmoobala is a great picture book for kids, starring the perpetually smiling and happily floating alien Schmoobala, from the (presumably) far flung planet Googala. He (or she) brings along his best friend Boobala for a visit to Earth, to explore and enjoy the many things this planet has to offer an inquisitive alien.
The story is told in fun and rhythmic rhymes, non of which are patronising to the young kids, or to the adults sitting with them. My favourite line is “My body is pure energy and I can never die,” as Schmoobala floats way above the Earth, surrounded by buzzing squiggles of energy. The drawings themselves are fun and very well done. My 5 year old niece went over and over each picture, giggling at the detail in each scenario, and laughing at the funny expression on Schmoobala’s face.
I enjoyed it, my niece loved it, and she’s been over it several times already, even making up her own scenarios to the pictures (you can’t give a better endorsement than a happy five year old.)
This book would lend itself very well to be turned into an animation, which is a testament to the work which went into the drawings and rhymes.
Great work. Buy it, and let it put a smile on your face….and, more importantly, the young persons that you’ll be reading it too.

Moobala Schmoobala is a lovely little book written and illustrated by M.G. Wells. The delightfully rhyming text and colourful illustrations can’t fail to keep young children captivated. The characters are charming and well-crafted and the dialogue is designed to stimulate questioning minds and encourage discussion. The book is an excellent educational resource.
Moobala is a kind, fun-loving alien from the planet Googala. He and his tiny best friend, Boobala, love to travel and meet new friends. On a visit to Earth, Moobala meets a host of cute and interesting animals from around the globe and the cleverly rhyming dialogue is sure to cause a few giggles. Wonderful illustrations complement the text perfectly.
At the end of the story is a useful list of the characters, both mythical and real, with a short piece of information about each - all of which adds to the educational value of this great little book. Moobala Schmoobala is ideal for reading with very young children or with those learning to read. I’m sure the adults will enjoy the book as much as the children.

1) This book has not won any awards
2) It is best suited for students grades K-2nd
3) The nursery rhyme tells of a large and kind alien named Moobala Schmoobala from the planet Googala. He and his companion Boobala visit earth and travel to all the different places and meet many different people.
4) The story is very creative and the illustrations seen in the text are engaging and very silly. The loving nature of the aliens would definitely draw in the interest of younger readers. The text's use of rhyme definitely can help younger readers develop their skills in this area.
5) I would have two uses for this book in my classroom. The first would be that I would have my students draw their own aliens like Moobala and Boobala and come up with a name for them. The second would be that for my older students (2nd graders, maybe 1st graders) i might even have them create a short story about their created character using the rhyme techniques they saw in the book.

Don’t be misled by thinking that this is just a story for kids, it’s not.
I could relate to the story on the spiritual level and my son related to the story as kids do appreciating the animals and friendship between Moobala Schmoobala and Boobala.
If you are looking for a storybook for your child about friendship, kindness and appreciation of Mother Earth and what she has given us “Moobala Schmoobala” delivers.
If you are looking for a story for an adult that is mindful, allows you to look around you and find appreactaion in your home, your friends and who you really are grab “Moobala Schmoobala” and go back to it when you feel blue.
“Moobala Schmoobala” by M.G. Wells easy and fun to read with colourful and simple illustrations that children appreactaite after being bombarded with highly stylised images. To me “Moobala Schmoobala” is like meditation verse.

Moobala Schmoobala by M.G. Wells is a charming children’s book with a magical, and slightly silly storyline that children will absolutely love.

I am no longer a child, but I had a rough, grown up kind of day and decided to cheer myself up in a positive way by reading something funny and sweet.

The illustrations have a wit and whimsy that made me smile and forget about my troubles for a while.

We traveled around the world and met exotic animals and took awesome adventures. I have a niece and nephew who are both getting a copy of this one to read in the car.

“High in the sky, we are greeted by a ladybug and a butterfly.”

It’s free on Kindle Unlimited and just delightful to read. I feel a little bit better now and thank the author for sharing this wonderful and imaginative story with us all.

What a fabulous book for young children! My five and two year olds loved the illustrations which were very colourful and distinctive. My daughter particularly liked Ella the elephant as they share the same name. The character of Moobala Schmoobala takes us on a journey around the world while searching for a missing friend. Lots of animals are introduced both real and imaginary. There is a lovely addition at the end of the story to explain more about the animals featured with some great facts. I recommend this book to parents of young children and early readers who can enjoy a lovey rhyming story while learning some facts about the world we live in, the animals of the world and the countries they live in.

Follow Moobala's adventures as he travels to earth.
This book is sure to delight young readers, and adults. It has been beautifully illustrated to spark a child's imagination, and written in rhyme to make it fun and enjoyable. There are plenty of opportunities for discussion, and each page will lead your child to ask questions, making this book educational as well as fun.
The book doesn't finish at the end of the story either. At the back of the book, you will find a list along with illustrations, of all the animals that Moobala has encountered along his way. This will open up more discussion, and encourages some really fun creative ideas.
As a story book to read to your child, or a book for your child to read in their early years, this book is a must.

This book is such a delight and full of charm, a wonderful story with inventive illustrations by Author M. G. Wells.

Children will love the rhyming verse and fanciful characters Moobala Schmoobla from the planet Googala and his best friend Boobala. In their journey around Earth they meet up with Earthly creatures in their habitats and a few mythical creatures.

Children will be entertained by the verse and colorful illustrations while learning something about creatures around the Earth. I know my young grandsons will love this book. It is wonderful to find a book for children that has a fun main character with an inquisitive mind, a happy outlook, and a curiosity about the world.

I highly recommend Moobala Schmoobala and gave it five stars.

I like the colorful and silly illustrations in this book; they will please toddlers and preschoolers. The glossary included at the end of the tale provides interesting information about the alien and earthly animal creatures mentioned in the rhymes.

The plot revolves around an alien named Moobala who decides to travel around the Earth with his friend Boobala making observations in verse about the sites and creatures they observe. Each page contains three verses written in rhyme. Some of the lines don't flow well and the meaning is not always apparent for a young reader. On the other hand, young children will chuckle at the silly rhymes and learn some facts from them.

Moobala Schmoobala is a kind hearted, playful extra-terrestrial from the planet Googala. His best bud Boobala and he have a blast when the venture to Earth, encountering new friends on their journey. They have trivial connections with actual and fabled beings. This entertaining, whimsical tale, filled with rhymes and images and a glossary of creature descriptions, is finely crafted for small children. They are bound to be entertained and at the same time absorb messages of kindness, friendship and adventure.

Great!

I downloaded Moobala Schmoobala during a free promotion offered by M. G. Wells and really enjoyed this eBook.

Funnily enough, reading through its wonderfully illustrated pages brought back some of my best childhood memories: Dreams of flying over my hometown and watching NFB, National Geographic and other documentary films of the late 60s to early 70s.

As a kid, The Jungle Book was one of my favorite movies and I was enamored with the “We Are the World” motif, just like Moobala and his best friend, Boobala.

Moobala Schmoobala is lots of fun and educational too!
