It's been my experience that I need to be ready to read books on prayer. And I think I was ready for this one. Although I don't agree with a couple major interpretations, this was a timely reminder of many of the basics of prayer, especially the importance of asking with right motives (and trusting God to form those in me).
I believe, in contrast to the author, that it is always God's will to heal, and that God does change God's mind without changing his character. But these disagreements don't affect most of the book. The author even quotes people of serious prayer who disagree with him about healing.
