Lou Colson is a transporter and a biker. He moves people from one place to another safer location for money. His many contacts in and out of the club have made him one of the best in the business. A lot of money buys the safest passage in Lou's care. Most of his clients are men who find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time and need out. Not this time. This time his oldest brother and President of the club is asking him to go into enemy territory to retrieve a spilled Southern belle. Barbara Whitmore is fresh from grad school and finally home for more than a few days for the first time since she was a child barely out diapers. Just when she thought her life was about to take a normal course of taking over the family plantation and finding some handsome young lawyer for a husband, Lou walks into her office. All her southern charm goes out the window when he tosses her over his shoulder and takes her on a forced road trip to save her life. Little does she know her life is about to begin, as she fights to keep it from ending.
I thought this was boring as hell. It took me four excruciating days to read it even then I kept falling asleep. It had all the ingredients to being really good, but the author didn't pull the trigger. You'd think being on the run from a mob boss cartel slash father, there would be danger and excitement at every turn. There's nothing, zip except a bunch of fillers and fluff.
This is probably my favorite of the series so far. Louis(Lou) Coulson transporter for the Exiles MC has been charged with bringing a wealthy businessman's daughter Barbara(Barbie) Whitmore to a safe haven. These two people could not be more opposite, but of course opposites attract. With the help of Barbie's "bodyguard"/father figure Myles,Lou has a difficult yet interesting time making sure she's safe. Lou is a little rough around the edges but nothing like Joe or Turner. I like that he is a little softer, makes the idea of him and Barbie more believable. Barbie is a little naive having been schooled at an all girls academy Salem Charm. She is young and innocent which Lou finds sweet, funny and quite endearing.I loved the buildup of them finally being together. They aren't intimate until the very end, definitely worth waiting for.
OMG loved this book I mean I love all the Colson brothers but Lou was brilliant. I loved the story had me hooked made me laugh and also cry must read if you like alpha biker men.
