Chopin's nocturnes are among the most beautiful and influential solo piano pieces ever composed. These 21 pieces embody the romantic era of classical music and evoke so many deep emotions. I purchased this edition from a music store in Stratford, Ontario when I was only 15 years old, and it has brought a lifetime of joy. Part of the beauty of these nocturnes is that they can be interpreted in many ways. My favorite interpretations are from the classic recordings by Arthur Rubenstein. Turn the music on, close you eyes, and let these deeply emotional pieces envelop you.

Few have composed nocturnes as well as Chopin. Each one of these is an absolute delight to play, especially those in Op. 9 and Op.27. The range of difficulty makes it suitable for musicians at every stage, and the balance between crowd-pleasers and technical pieces is perfect.
