I find myself, again, not being able to write a review that will do a book justice. I really hope what I say and the quotes I shared will convince you to add this series to your TBR.
Célia is such a strong and capable character but in this book we got to see how utterly vulnerable she was. She went through this journey with de@th by her side, she was reckless, and so human, that I am glad this is fiction because this woman was put through it. In the end she took the empire she was owed, leaving the bl00diest trail behind her and her men.
Obviously, the men are a big part of this series. Ronan as the alphahole, took his sweet time understanding what Célia meant when she said it was all of nothing. Mateo as the cinnamon roll with golden retriever energy, was her rock throughout the series. But Santo? Knox put her darkest thoughts into the makeup of this man. I felt for him, rooted for him, hated him, but ultimately, I wanted to protect him from everything. He has my heart.
Read this if you like: (Series as a whole) why choose, Cartel, motorcycle club plot lines, long lost heiress, second chance, forced proximity, revenge plots, she saves herself
CW's: (Series as a whole) violence, torture, death, fires, shootings, kidnapping, human trafficking, suicide ideology, SA (not done by the MMC's), and more
Note, this is book 3 of the trilogy and is also the darkest!
🖤Release date is February 14th🖤
(I'm voluntarily leaving a review on a complementary advanced reader copy)
