Every child who’s ever been told Be quiet! will relate to this story about too much noise. Andy wants to blow his horn, but his family thinks his tooting is just too loud. Will he find a place to play? You can almost hear the music with every turn of the page.
This book shows a boy who wants to make noise, so he plays his horn for his family. It is too loud for everyone, even the cat, so he takes it outside to play. Outside, the world likes his horn, and other children join him like a marching band. When he gets home, his family is happy to see him.
This is a good beginning reader book for merging reader children. With help I think this would help boost self esteem with young readers. Many words are repetitive throughout the book. The book also teaches about adopting a new pet and what it takes to take care of one.
