The adult, uppercase, versions of the letters help the young alphabet up as each injury is described. When nighttime comes, “A” sizes up coconut tree again, ready for another mount.

Personal response: Was completely oblivious to the existence of this book until research for this class assignment. I found it simple, entertaining, well-paced and right on par with something I would use in instruction infants learning the alphabet. (Bought it immediately for soon-to-come child.)
