I WAS GLADD TO FINISH THIS BOOK. IT WAS ONLY 400 PAGES BUT HAD OVER 120 CHARACTERS. tHE NUMBER I KNOW AS THEY WERE LISTED IN BACK OF BOOK. IT WAS A TRUE STORY AND EVEN THE REAL NAMES OF THOSE INVOLVED WERE USED BUT IT WAS MORE LIKE A MILITARY REPORT THAN A HISTORICAL NOVEL. STILL IT WAS WELL WRITTEN AND I WAS ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH WHO WAS WHO. I HAD READ OF THIS SLAVE REBELLION BEFORE BUT NEVER IN SUCH DETAIL. I MAY COME BACK LATER AND RAISE THIS TO 5 STARS?????

Incredibly disturbing from a time of harsh reality of the oppressiveness of a plantation society entrenched in the horrors of slavery.
