** Promising Forever is a continuation of The Forever Series. It is recommended that you read Planning on Forever and Waiting on Forever prior to this novella. **
After an emotional break-up with his high school sweetheart, Collin doubted he would ever find love again.
Until he met Summer.
What started out as just a friendship, blossomed into something so much more.
Love.
Just when plans were slowly starting to take shape in their relationship, Summer’s father became terminally ill, forcing Collin to make a life altering decision. His answer was to marry her before it was too late and give Summer a dream wedding with her father by her side.
Follow the reunion of friends, the planning, and everything in between, leading up to the day.
To me, I consider Promising Forever an extended epilogue. I received numerous emails asking for more Collin and Summer. Then once people read Waiting on Forever, they wanted more Matt and Leah. Well, I delivered and Promising Forever is where you'll find it.
Although Promising Forever is primarily a novella focused on the planning and everything leading up to Collin and Summer's wedding, it's almost a little reunion of the characters from both Planning on Forever and Waiting on Forever, as well- this being why it is highly recommended to read both of those books prior to this one.
Promising Forever was very bittersweet for me to write. With every book that I write in the Forever Series, I grow more and more attached to the characters. So, seeing them growing up and doing their own thing just means that I'm getting closer and closer to the series coming to an end- very depressing for me. With that said, though, I adore Promising Forever. It's a fun, heartwarming book with of course, a little steam mixed into it. I cried. I laughed and even swooned at some point or another while writing. I hope you enjoy it as much I as I enjoyed writing it! Happy reading :)
I was so happy when Ashley decided to write more about Collin and Summer's journey. I liked them in Planning On Forever (First book in the Forever series), I fell in love with them all over again in this beautifully written Novella. I have read several novella's in the past, however Ashley gives us much more and it's longer than most novella's.
Collin is a sweetheart and he treats Summer like a princess, he's always so thoughtful, sweet and puts Summer before himself at all times! He's also one hunky guy who shows Summer how attracted he is to her in many ways!
Summer is very much in love with Collin and as excited as she is to get married, she is also nervous! She is missing her deceased Mother and her father is ill. Collin's Mom is happily in charge of the wedding details. Ashley does a wonderful job describing everything, I felt like I was there.
Matt and Leah from Waiting On Forever arrive to support their best friends.
I just love this book,.i laughed,.smiled,.cried during a very tense moment. You'll love it too. Amazing, breath taking and beautifully written!
I like how this book showed more Collin and Summer. You get to know them both a little better.
Summer is a full time bartender and a college student. She works so she can pay for school. She doesn't do girly stuff. She doesn't need fancy clothes and makeup. What you see is what you get!! With her dads ailing health Summer and Collin move up their wedding date so her dad can walk her down the aisle.
Collin gives up his full ride football scholarship to move closer to Summer. It was a rough year trying to find time to see each other. With the wedding plans (are) all set(,and) all that is left is to walk down the aisle and say I Do!
In this novella we get Summer and Collins wedding. Matt and Leah from Waiting on Forever are in this book also!
Another great read by Ashley. Really enjoyed reading about Summer and Colin's wedding and was great to read about the other characters as well. Can't wait for the next book.
I had no idea this book was even available yet until this morning when I happened to notice Ashley Wilcox changed her cover photo on facebook. Yes, I’m aware how stalkerish that sounds but for me Ashley Wilcox’s forever series made me a believer in romance. It was never a genre I seeked books out in. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about a little romance being mixed in with a paranormal scheme but after reading an ARC of Waiting on Forever my opinion changed. I believe in romance and have read quite a few romance novels since then. I love Ashley Wilcox and have the utmost respect for her as a writer since she can twist my heart and soul into knots with nothing but a little romance. Promising Forever is the story of Summer and Collin’s wedding weekend which if that’s not enough to make your heart melt, all your favorite characters from the first two novels make guest appearances. Matt, Leah, Travis, Kenzi and we even get a glimpse of Alexa and Nolan over the course of the weekend. After reading Waiting on Forever, I knew I had to know more of Summer and Collin. I needed more of their story and Promising Forever delivered everything I could have hoped for. My breath was taken away again and again. Ashley Wilcox twisted my heart and filled me with such anticipation I couldn’t stop reading! The love Summer and Collin have for each other is undeniable and Promising Forever is written in such a way that their love almost becomes tangible. You can feel it with each turn of the page, every time their points of view change and you’re given a deeper glimpse of their true emotions and you can’t help but get attached all over again. I love that Ashley Wilcox can manage to give every one of her character’s a unique personality that never changes, no matter how often they make appearances throughout the series. Promising Forever made me feel like a little kid, I was so excited and wishing I was Summer the entire read. I want the love and romance Ashley Wilcox captures in her stories to bleed over into my reality. Poor boys, I suppose they’re going to have to read Ashley Wilcox so they know what they’re up against. I’m so glad I discovered The Forever series and that Ashley Wilcox changed my opinion on romance and love. If you’re looking for a quick sweet read that will keep a smile on your face and make you excited about love then Promising Forever is a perfect match. Once again Ashley Wilcox gives us a wonderful romance that’s impossible not to get lost in.
I believe their deserve more than 63 pages to tell they love stories. Beside Matt and Leah, I love those two together. Summer is one awesome girl Collin is lucky as hell, I knew they was perfect together from the first book; It was good having all the gang back together for Collin wedding and Travis finally found a woman who can tamed him, that fool a mess smh the stuff that come out his mouth "It's just guaranteed fuck every night" that fool cracks me up he needs his book in the series.
I felt so bad for Summer but Collin was wonderful with her every step of the way he handle the situation perfectly. I love Collin dude was perfect once he found his Summer. he was wonderful helping Summer during her hardship she needed him and gave her a shoulder to lean on. His actions and sweet words hold her together, now that's what you called mate, partner, and better half someone to lift you up when everything start to crumble around you. Even though this was very short but it was perfect for me. "Summer, I never want to miss one second In all of the days of your life." "Never doubt me -never doubt us. My love for you will never change."
I absolutely love Summer and Collin! I loved this short novel and I loved to se the love between them, and even if wasn't the perfect wedding, I know Summer was happy. And I loved Matt and Leah! Summer is so perfect for Collin... and Collin... God, I wish to find a boy exactly like him! Can't wait to see what's next!
Oh my god! That was the best novella I've ever read. So damn sweet and romantic. My heart quenched towards the end and I couldn't help but cry after that letter. *sigh* my heart still hurts. Best wedding ever, under the circumstances. I love this.
5 amazing stars.
Will Travis have a book?
I'm starting on Giving you forever. I want Nolan!!!!
I love Collin and Summer and this novella is the perfect ending to their love story. If you haven't read Planning on Forever or Waiting on Forever go get them now before you read this book. You will fall in love with Collin and Summer too, I promise.
what a good short story showing us where summer and Collin end up. like another review said...I was laughing and awing and then crying!!!great continuation of the story. I hope we get one of these for Matt and Leah too.
Great quick read by Ashley!! Well written and a great conclusion to Collin and Summers story. Got a little emotional with the problems with Summers dad but such a beautiful story. Now onto book four in this series!!
Even though this book is short it still made me feel all types of emotions. You can not help but feel for these characters. Wonderfully written. Once again great job!
Again such a fast read! This on was even shorter I think!!! But truly beautiful. I did adore Matt and Leahs story a wee bit more. BUt never the less liked this one too.
I did like the continued story of Summer and Collin, but I was not left wanting more. Maybe that was the purpose, but I am over Summer and Collin. I want more of Leah and Matt. That story feels true.
