Well written story, good characters each with their own mysteries and a great solve. It's so wonderful to read how Hastings and Poirot started out and how they begin to work together, Hastings having his own clues and Poirot putting everything together

Hercule Poirot's triumphant debut! There is no one out there who can weave a mystery like Agatha. She kept me guessing right up until the end as usual. The perfect easy summer read.
