I received an advanced readers copy/unedited version of this one. I already can tell you that I love that this doesn't follow the same rules of every Dom. It's different and I love that about it the most. The fact that the strict Dom role is not set in stone.
There is an added drama of suspense that keeps the readers guessing who is threatening Emma, and what will happen next.
Also, prior characters Lucas and Chloe are brought in and make an appearance. But the focus is on Emma and Marcus; the tug of war between their emotions, their past hurts, and their feelings for each other.

Amazing! The energy between Emma and Marcus kept the story sizzling and created a wonderful blend between romance, sex, and commitment. I felt like I knew them, could feel their attraction, and was totally caught up in the way their story unfolded. The author's pacing was wonderful. Her attention to detail, both regarding the club and the relationship, made this a very enjoyable BDSM novel. While this book is definitely able to stand on its own, the writing style and character development make me want to read the other stories in this series. I liked it that much!

Paige Mathews has done it again, and gone and created a sexy world full of mystery, lust, and desire designed to entrap the reader within the pages.
The characters had me fanning myself at times, and just when I htought I knew what was going to happen, Paige surprised me by throwing me a curveball.

I am enjoying this series. This one was suspenseful romantic and steamy. My favorites combination. Gotta say the
person who did it was not who I thought. I don't want to spoil it for others. Loved that we still get to see Lucas and Chloe story continue. Looking forward to book three. Love some Marcus. Can't wait to hear Ally and Devlin's story.

This is a good book and the story has twists and turns that draw you in.

Wow, I'm not sure a book based on BDSM has ever made me feel emotionally connected to the characters, but somehow this author managed it. From the very start, I could tell Consume Me was different, and was more about the feelings and personalities than the BDSM, though that obviously still plays a huge part. I was soon drawn into their world, and loved seeing Emma and Marcus's feelings develop as they got to know each other. The chemistry couldn't be denied, but both have issues from their pasts that made for an interesting read. There's no denying it's a hot read, but with a softer side that made me more intrigued to keep reading. I wanted to see how it was all going to work out, though I've always been open minded and found myself learning a few things at the same time.
Until I was writing this review I didn't even realise this book was part of a series but now I do, I'll be going back to read Devour Me.

While my review of the first book in this series was less than favorable, as promised I did continue on to read book two.
I was pleased to see the development of the authors writing and the strength of the storyline delivered.
The editing was vastly improved, and the characters were impressive, with Emma as a semi experienced sub and Marcus as a far more commanding Dom than Lucas.
I did find that the story sometimes felt stilted though. Maybe this was due to formatting of the chapters. One chapter would be Marcus` POV and the next would be Emma’s; and so on, and back again. For me, it affected the flow at times.
However, I did enjoy the overall context of the story, but would offer a cautionary note to the author for future novels; it did not go unnoticed that in both books the female lead was stalked by a psychotic ex-boyfriend, which made it seem as though the subplot was being repeated.
Food for thought when continuing the series.

Consume Me is the second book in this series. This is Marcus and Emma's story. Emma goes to the Devoured club to start in a training program. Marcus is the dom who is conducting the training program and you can feel the tension between the two of them from the very beginning. I loved that the reader could feel the sizzle practically coming off the pages! Emma is looking for a dom to submit to and Marcus is all too ready to be the one. There are definitely some hot scenes in this book that will have you fanning yourself! I really enjoyed watching Marcus and Emma grow together and trust each other. We also get a little bit of Lucas and Chloe from the first book, which is a plus! So if you're in the mood for an erotic/BDSM novel, then definitely check out this book and series by Paige Matthews! I love her writing style and she knows how to write some sexy scenes!

This is my first book from Paige Matthews and didn't realize I read book 2 lol. I was so into reading this book, I could not put my kindle down. I loved reading about Marcus and Emma and holy hell the BDSM club was HOT!!!!!. Every detail made you seem like you were there and I loved reading this book and can't wait to read more

But personally I would really like to see more retribution for the bad people in the stories.
