I received this book as an ARC for a blog tour but I also purchased it because I loved this book ~ I started this book and I was.........
as fast as my little baby blues could!!!!!!!
The story is told in alternating POV between the main characters Carter & Casey ~ It flashes back to their college days when they first met at the local bar Beach Hum's where Carter was playing with his band, Dare, which then changed names to Luminosity. The band's make-up didn't change with Jake on drums, Tommy on lead guitar and the oh so freaking hot Carter being the lead singer and played guitar. He is the type of guy that would have me.......................................
Casey & Carter have been best friends for the almost 10 years much to the chagrin of Carter. He wanted to be more than friends but he seemed to make a few mistakes when he was younger that had me..........
and also doing a lot of this......................
but I also had to do this when it came to Casey.....................................................
seriously the girl had to been blind. I mean Carter was consistent with a capital C. Sure he was a playboy ~ I mean the guy attracted girls like ants to a picnic ~ but he never stopped loving Casey. Well Carter comes back from a recent 6 month tour with the boys and he is staying with Casey until he leaves on the East Coast leg of the tour. He's decided to man up and tell her he loves her, yep.
but wait there is a small problem or perhaps a HUGE one depending on how you looked at it. Yes Casey has met someone ~ a certain someone named Jordan. This throws Carter for a loop BIG TIME. It was quite cute watching Carter come up with ways to spend more time with Casey and to see if she is interested in him the way he is interested in her. Yes there was a certain scene where I would've..
if I had been Casey and saw all that ;) but don't think for one minute this is a book of two best friends revealing feelings and all is well in the world. NO way this book has real emotions and real heartbreak that will leave your chest aching and you gasping for air. I really enjoyed Casey's best friend Lyla and Carter's best friend and his 'brother' so to speak Tommy ~ he was the ultimate bad boy but there was much more to him so much more. WTH where you thinking boy? Well you weren't that was obvious but Lord have mercy it became a tragedy of errors. I thought for sure things just couldn't work out and when something I never expected happened that literally tore my heart from my chest (note to the author AWESOME ~ not that I wanted that to happen but damn you got me) I was.........
I was a freaking mess!! Hell everyone in the story was too. I thought for sure this could bring Casey & Carter together since usually when tragedy strikes people come together but nope I was wrong and I had to endure more.....................................................
A chance to change scenery, move on with her life Casey makes a decision that really had me thinking I wasn't going to see the outcome I wanted from this book ~ maybe I didn't need it but damn I wanted it. Well a certain arrangement and little secret amongst friends had me..............

and Casey I thought she was seriously going to make me jump into my Kindle, because I wasn't going to throw the damn thing lol, and I was ....................................................

Joseph you got me and I couldn't put the Kindle down until I go to the end of the book! It was super amazing and I loved every minute of it even the minutes I had to grab my Kleenex and breathe deep. I love a book that can make me laugh, cry and want to be "Casey" if you know what I mean all at once. FANFREAKINGTASTIC read that I will recommend to everyone. Sure I had my rock star bad boy in it but in the end was he really a bad boy? Casey, Carter, Converse...the three C's you'll ever need to get you out of a funk. Carter has been in love with Casey since day one, even when he didn't know what love was. Casey started down the path, but let her paranoia put the brakes on and pushed him into friend zone. They spend nine years on this road, and when Carter returns from touring with his band for 6 months, Casey throws a wrench in the mix. You have to keep reading, just to see what Carter is going to do next, and if anyone actually does slap him upside the head for his idiocy. Of course, they get their HEA, but not before going through some terrible times and learning some hard love lessons. You'll get comfortable in the story and think you might know how things are going to go down, then you'll have that rug whipped right out from under you. Tissues may be a necessity, but even if they are not, patience will be. Definitely glad I picked this one up when I did, and will most likely read again and again.

This love story of Carter and Casey is very gripping and is one that takes the reader on journey of everlasting love with all the bumps along the way. I would relate this to the -- woulda, shoulda, coulda senario's almost everyone can relate to. I love how the author wrote through both Carter and Casey's views. Carter confronting his past mistakes to realize that he has always been in love with Casey, only to find out that she has moved on to avoid not being hurt by him is heartbreaking. I understood Casey's guarding of herself from Carter's lifestyle. The flow of this book is wonderful with the current situations entwined with the past explanation of circumstances for the reader. I loved that I could not put this book down from start to finish. I Love the happily ever after!! GREAT READ........!!!!!

FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC
Carter and Casey's love story will captivate you from the beginning. The characters are lovable and Carter is downright swoon-worthy. The story will pull at your heart strings one second and ripped them out the next. Great angst and hot smut round off this fabulous novel as a definite must read. It had everything I love in a great love story!

Loved this book!! Carter is the "bad boy" type of guy but you just love him even though he was frustrating the hell out of me. This book made me laugh and cry. I couldn't put it down. A must read!!! I can't wait for the next book to come out.

It's not perfect. It's scary as hell sometimes, but you keep going.

This story was all over the place...love, laughter, betrayal, drama, sex, tragedy....just a freaking emotional roller coaster. I do have to say that M.R. Joseph kept you hanging on the edge of your seat. Just when you think things are flowing beautifully....BAM!!!! Another curve ball is thrown at you. What I absolutely loved about this story, was that it is so true to life. We all make stupid decisions and mistakes in relationships and it was so well portrayed in this book.
Carter and Casey meet during their first year of college. Carter instantly falls for her but of course makes very poor decisions which leads Casey to believing the only relationship they can have is being friends. They were the best of friends....well, according to Casey.....but Carter....he has always been in love with Casey. Carter returns from tour and decides after nine years of just being best friends he is going to tell Casey the truth. But of course, things have changed in Casey's life and now she is with another man. Throughout the book the author gives us flash backs of the past that takes us on small journeys of Casey and Carters friendship. This is where I had a little trouble following. To me it seemed at times the story didn't flow very well and parts were rushed. There was so much more meat to this story that could have been written. But with all this said, overall I would highly recommend this book.....especially if you love lots of DRAMA!!!! I know I do! Enjoy!!!

Carter London!!!! My fictional love for the week is everything a girl would want (trust me on this one). Hot, sexy, down-to-earth rock star who just happens to be in love with his best friend, Casey Colbet. When Carter returns home, from his current tour, for his college reunion he plans on letting Casey know exactly how he feels. Unfortunately, Casey is dating none other than the extremely wealthy Jordan Reid. However, once Casey learns of Carter's feelings for her, they cross the friendship line and it is HOT!
Of course Carter and Casey have some obstacles to overcome but a love like theirs comes along once in a lifetime. Is there anything better than falling in love with your best friend?! Absolutely not!

Hold on to your Converse folks, this shit is Amazing! This was a wonderful roller coaster ride of emotions and I seriously could not put it down. Seriously... I started it last night and didn't put it down until I finished it at around 4:30 this morning. I totally fell in love with all of the characters and definitely developed an emotional attachment that had me smiling, crying, and everything in between.

This book captivated me from the first chapter. I could not put the book down and read it one day because i had to know the fate of Casey and Carter. All the twists and turns had me on emotional highs and lows. I love when i can read a book and feel like i am watching it like a movie in my mind. It had the perfect blend of the past memories and the present story line. Love it

Absolutely fell in love with this series and this author. These books were a roller coaster of drama and angst. Steamy too! But with a HEA that made the ride worth it. Can't wait to see what she writes next and hopefully there will be more in the Reunion Series. Note: Each book in the Reunion Series is a stand alone book.

Amazing book!!! You will instantly fall in love with Carter & Casey. Carter is the naughty boy you love to love!!!! Super steamy scenes...laughable moments...& tears of joy and sorrow!!!! Would give six stars if I could!!!

M.R. Joseph is an amazing author. This second book with also a page turner. Amazing story highly recommend
