On Assignment: The Stories Behind the Stories : Inspiring Experiences of an Lds Broadcast Journalist

Rate this book
In his 15-plus years as an award-winning broadcast journalist, Art Rascon has seen it all - from the war-ravaged countries of the world to the grief-stricken lives of ordinary people. Now, in this extraordinary book, Art has compiled over two dozen incredible stories of faith and inspiration - the real stories behind the stories on the news. The stories are sensitively narrated from art's perspective as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and he brings unique and touching gospel insights to the telling. In sharing them, Art gives us profound insights into the world that begins when the camera stops rolling.

This is a very good book. Art is a true professional journalist and has covered historic events globally. I enjoyed reading his stories. He talks a lot about faith. For LDS readers, much of it will resonate although it is his perspective. For non-LDS readers, the book can also be very uplifting if one is open to learning of the spiritual experiences of others.
