Overall, a very disappointing short story collection. Out of 11 only three were worthwhile: ‘These Important Messages’ by Blánaid McKinney, ´Night of the Quicken Trees’ by Claire Keegan, and ´Maps’ by John MacKenna.

Disappointing. Even some of phenomenal Irish writers who contributed to this book were below par.
