Ann Mayburn

95 books1,973 followers
Ann is Queen of the Castle to her wonderful husband and three sons in the mountains of West Virginia. In her past lives she's been an Import Broker, a Communications Specialist, a US Navy Civilian Contractor, a Bartender/Waitress, and an actor at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. She also spent a summer touring with the Grateful Dead(though she will deny to her children that it ever happened).

From a young age she's been fascinated by myths and fairytales, and the romance that often was the center of the story. As Ann grew older and her hormones kicked in, she discovered trashy romance novels. Great at first, but she soon grew tired of the endless stories with a big wonderful emotional buildup to really short and crappy sex. Never a big fan of purple prose, throbbing spears of fleshy pleasure and wet honey pots make her giggle, she sought out books that gave the sex scenes in the story just as much detail and plot as everything else-without using cringe worthy euphemisms. This led her to the wonderful world of Erotic Romance, and she's never looked back.

Now Ann spends her days trying to tune out cartoons playing in the background to get into her 'sexy space' and has learned to type one handed while soothing a cranky baby.

A must read book! Ms. Mayburn does it again with her smoking hot erotic novels. She is a Mistress of BDSM GlitterKink. The men here are wealthy in an amazing exclusive club. If I could work as a server there or a bartender, I think I'd easily give up my day job. They make more in a week then I make in a month.

This story is positively deliciously with sweet characters. Anya works for Jesse as his son's nanny. Through a mentor of hers, she learns about Wicked and applies to work as a waitress. Who knew being a waitress required so many background checks and tests? Anya passes with flying colours and starts her night off facing Jesse. Fortunately she's hidden behind a mask.

Jesse takes Anya on a fabulous BDSM journey. If only every newbie's experience is as good as Anya's. Jesse is a hot Dom who commands the scene. He doesn't get it right every time, but the ones he does, the reader will need a cold shower. This may be a GlitterKink book, but the BDSM are no SugarKink. Ms. Mayburn kicked it up a notch in this book.

I'm still so turned on by this book, I forgot to mention one of my favourite kinks brought to life in this book. Oh boy, oh boy, oh BOY! *fans self repeatedly*

"Let me tell you a little secret. There is nothing I love more than eating another woman out after she's been filled with her Master's seed. To taste the mixture of arousal is wonderful and I love how wet and soft a woman's cunt is, how swollen and hot, after a good fucking. Think about what it would be like to have Jesse holding you while my mouth works your body. I bet you have a very pretty, very sweet pussy."

If this is your kink, well, it's a hot little scene after a delicious ass reaming. *oops, no more spoilers!*

Another passage which makes me think, is this a bad thing?

"I'm going to fuck your mouth, Anya, so next time you think about lying, you'll remember having to choke on my dick."

*Gasp! What lies can I come up with?*

This book is more than just the sex and exclusive club. It's a romantic story driven by two endearing characters. They are so good for each other. Anya helps Jesse relax more and not focus so much on work. Jesse brings out Anya's playful sex kitten persona. Even the fact that there are two young children in the story doesn't detract from this romance. In fact, it actually enhances it. This series is going on my Gateway to BDSM list. This book is highly recommended to kinky readers who love a romantic happily ever after.

This book came as a shock (I was expecting a boring and a total cliche read). But thank goodness this one is delightful read.

No assholes.
No unnecessary angst.
No annoying drama.
No idiots.

I find it better than the usual BDSM books that most people read. It's actually fluffy despite the BDSM thing. And the sex scene is scorching hot. :)

RATING: 4.5 DELICIOUSLY-SEXY JESSE SHAW HEARTS!!

I’m not one to crave BDSM romance, but Ann Mayburn’s Club Wicked series makes it just so darn hard not to! Where I liked My Wicked Valentine, I absolutely loved My Wicked Nanny! From the likeable characters to the scorching sex, this is a story that refuses to be put down for any reason.

I am quickly learning that while Mayburn’s focus might be on the romance, what she also focuses on greatly is character growth. Both our main characters, Jesse Shaw and Anya Kozlov, are portrayed as people with insecurities and “real-life” issues, which made the story believable even while having an unconventional theme.

The romance in this series borders (mostly) on cliche, but that’s okay as you’re left with all smiles, and in this case lusting after one Jesse Shaw. This man exudes sex appeal, and I adored his demanding ways. He does have his sweet moments too, not just with Anya, but more when it comes to his two boys and his mother. I enjoyed all the family interactions in this story, and while this element is present in the previous book, just not as significantly as it is here.

The sexual tension and delicious smexin’ between Jesse and Anya is combustible, all kinds of naughty, and oh so good. The BDSM is taken up a notch in this second installment, yet it’s still sweetly romantic. Jesse and Anya are a perfect balance for one another, and I fell for this couple instantly, especially as we get to experience the story in both their POVs. Best of all there is no instant-love. The build-up is done wonderfully, with a satisfying ending.

While Jesse left an impression on me, Anya did so more. She’s a shy, ordinary girl trying to figure out her life the best way she can, and grabbing any opportunity thrown her way to achieve her dream of becoming a fashion designer in Paris, and through it all, she doesn’t regret anything. I immensely adored this admirable trait and couldn’t help but cheer her on. That she is strong-willed and committed to what she wants, Jesse sees that in her and which ultimately brings these two characters together.

My Wicked Nanny is a well-written, quick, easy read that will leave you swooning and giddy with excitement. I recommend this to all romance-fans that like a little naughty kink thrown into their HEA. If you’re not a BDSM reader, you will definitely be a devotee after reading this.

My version of Jesse: YUMMY! <3 <3

My Rating:5 stars: Personal favorite - a must read (A+)
Originally posted at That's What I'm Talking About

Anya Kozlov has dreams to travel to Paris to become a fashion designer, and her salary as a nanny isn’t going to get her there soon enough. Her design mentor recommended Anya take a job as a server at a private, exclusive BDSM club so she can earn the cash needed to get to Paris. After passing their extensive background checks and training, Anya is ready to start her new job. She takes the name Dove and dons a mask, keeping the “real” Anya private. However, on her first night when she sees her boss (father of the children she cares for), she’s worried her cover will be blown.

Anya has had a crush on Jesse ever since he hired her. So when he doesn’t realize who Dove truly is, Anya takes up his offer of pleasure. Although Anya wants to come clean about who Dove is, she is too afraid he’ll fire her and hate her. She struggles between her growing feelings and her desire to do what’s right.

I absolutely LOVED reading My Wicked Nanny! The combination of the couple’s budding romance, innocent love and deliciously naughty sex made this story one of my favorites. Right from the start, I was enamored with Jesse and Anya and couldn’t help but get wrapped up in their mutual attraction. I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves a sweet romance with a healthy dash of smuttiness.

My Wicked Nanny shifts the point-of-view between both Anya and Jesse, allowing the reader insight to both characters innermost feelings. This enhanced every interaction, allowing me to understand both the characters’ desires and fears, creating a deeper connection.

Anya is written perfectly. I adore her mixed emotions when at first she struggles with the knowledge that Jesse doesn't recognize her and then later when she weighs her options of how to “come clean” with Jesse. I absolutely loved her first “morning after tirade” over getting intimate with Jesse yet not revealing who she was. Her warring emotions are well detailed with a pinch of sarcasm and wit to make it incredibly entertaining.

Again, I also love the mixed feelings of Jesse when he discovered the truth about Dove. He is angry and feels betrayed, but realizes he cares for her and wants more. Then he feels she needs to be free and not tied to him and a little ashamed he didn't see it sooner. The details Ms. Mayburn pours into the characters feelings is sublime.

There is one particularly intense scene when Jesse confronts Anya over her true identity. I admire that rather than drawing out the secrecy, the couple must deal with their situation head-on. The scene had me in tears, and my heart ached for them both. It is a very well-written exchange.

In addition to the beautifully detailed emotional journey, the story is filled with intense and erotic sex scenes. This story is not for those that prefer fade to dark and behind closed doors lovemaking. This is a BDSM story and the pair learn to enjoy each other and the joys of a Master/sub relationship. They engage in rough, kinky sex because it's what they like… it's not a tool used to punish or get over any messed-up past. This quote, stolen from Jesse’s thoughts, sums it up perfectly:

"Sometimes his girl was in the mood for it rough and nasty-well, most of the time-but he also liked to make love to her.

Except he liked to make love with ropes and clamps."

In the end, I was just head-over-heels happy for Jesse and Anya. I adored their budding romance and friendship set along side their developing Master/submissive relationship. The romance is simple and sweet, and although there are a few minor complications, they are dealt with quickly, leaving any contrived drama behind. Their sex is mind-blowingly hot and kinky, but it’s the sharing of their inner-most feelings that makes My Wicked Nanny such a great story.

Anna Kozlav has plans to one day become a big name costume designer so when the opportunity to intern at a prominent Paris Theatre comes along Anna jumps at the chance. But the cost of living and working in Paris isn’t something a she can afford on her nanny salary alone so she applies for and is hired at Club Wicked, a BDSM club in Washington, where it’s rumored that a good hostess/server can make a lot of cash in a short period of time.

Jesse Shaw, widowed father, hasn’t taken on a full time sub since his wife died five years ago and doesn’t plan to. Yet there’s something about Dove, the newest employee at Club Wicked, that has him wondering if maybe the time has come for him to reconsider. Dove’s the perfect sub for him but getting her to agree to play outside the club is proving to be fruitless as she hides behind her mask and refuses to tell him any personal information about herself. Who is she and why is she resisting taking their relationship to the next level. Master Jesse is about to teach his new found sub a thing or two about failing to trust in her Dom to take care of her in all ways.

This is the second installment in the ‘Club Wicked’ series where Jesse and Anna see each other every day but haven’t really seen each other. When Jesse singles Anna out for various play scenes at the club but fails to recognize her as his children’s nanny, ‘Dove’ takes the opportunity to live out all her fantasies submitting to him but refuses to come clean about being his employee. For me it was strange that Jesse wouldn’t recognize someone he sees daily but the author did a good job explaining why. Also, I did feel that the events surrounding the last 10% of the book had a rushed quality for me. I felt the circumstances surrounding that portion of the book should have been developed more than they were as it was a key component in regards to the storyline. Just sayin’

As to the eroic scenes themselves. Lordy lordy. This author has a way of getting her readers all hot and bothered. There should be a warning at the start of this book cautioning the reader not to read this book in public as it may result in jumping any random available guy to live out a few of the play scenes yourself. There are m/f scenes and one m/f/f/m scene that will knock your socks off it’s that good. And a significant amount of shabari and bondage scenes with a nod to the S&M side of play with some rough sex and dirty talking that had me wishing for a little of what Master Jesse was dishing out and Anna was getting. Is it any wonder that I admit to reading this book in one sitting?

Deeply gritty read that can be read as a standalone installment in the series. This book is much more edgier than the first but doesn’t stray too far into any extreme BDSM. The plot is pretty straight forward so for those of you looking for the suspense/twists and turns you need to realize that it isn’t in here. Yet, this is a book that screams erotic romance with a side of whoop ass that has made me a fan of the series.

Ms. Mayburn is wicked, seriously wicked. This is a HOT yet sweet love story. Young nanny who's a submissive falls for her Dom rich boss, it's like a very dirty Harlequin, but it's so much more than that. I loved these characters, they were a joy to read. I found myself in love with Jesse just as much as Anya was. This couple is swoon worthy.

This is the second book in a series with My Wicked Valentine (Club Wicked 1) being the first one, which is just as hot, but it can be read as a stand alone, thought take my word for it, if you love this one you'll love the first one.

I'll admit that Ms. Mayburn's books are kind of like crack to me now, because I know no matter what she writes, I'm getting a consistently well written story with lots of smoking hot sex. The woman writes a sex scene that can melt your screen, or at least I think so. There is one scene is the book that was so sexy I had to take deep breaths. I will be reading every single Wicked book she puts out and I hope she continues to write them for many years to come!

It's official. I have found a new must read author and series. Master Jesse is to die for and Anya is his perfect counter foil. Intensely hot sex scenes and yet another great love story bring this story to life. I was surprised my Kindle didn't catch fire.

Eagerly awaiting the next one in this series.

My Wicked Nanny Ann Mayburn

As only Ann Mayburn can do; she creates a exhilarating BDSM read with a great storyline that taps the reader on all levels because of the hidden messages embedded.
Ms. Mayburn's characters are featured in varieties physically and of carnal experience which is just the appetizers for the scrumptious entrees and desserts that follow as she lays out a feast of titillating, addictive narrative such as My Wicked Nanny. I found the use of characters in their sensational seventies, rubensque, tender twenties, working class and the affluent kicks stereotypes to the curb which gives My Wicked Nanny the strong sense of realism and demonstrates her wisdom as an author.

Ms. Mayburn's depiction's of all things nice and naughty possesses just the perfect flavoring of “scandalous” acts keeps me running back to read her books. Ms Mayburn's smooth, delectable writing style appeals to all fives senses and drives the eyes of most reader's imagination revolving into rapid fire spheres searching for the next climatic event be it emotionally or physically.

My Wicked Nanny by this accomplished author comes with hefty warning as her book is written specifically for the grown and fearlessly sexy. The fact that there is a warning not to attempt the actions portrayed in the book should be taken seriously because these delectable, lusciously behaviors found in Ms. Mayburn's story is enough to entice the mild-natured reader to explore. Shhh, well I'll confess; I was tempted big time. :-)

Anya Kozlov statuesque built and innocence woman with goals and openminded, ambitions is overwhelmed by the mansion of Mr. Jesse Shaw CEO of his own technology business and the opulence found in the secluded mansion of her part-time job as a server in one of the most exclusive adult clubs in Washington, DC: Wicked
Anya from the midwest is openminded and is looking forward to her trip to Paris in hopes of broadening her world. She has no idea the impact of working at Wicked will change the outlook on life's adventures. Anya is the nanny for the two sons of Mr. Jesse Shaw and knows very little of his private life.

Jesse Shaw is the man with thunder and lighting bolts of skills as a Dom with the body that makes you weep in wonderment, strong, passionate, gentle yet rough, handsome and capable of easing away ones fears. Master Jesse as a Dom demonstrates ingeniousness of all of the concepts he presents. I can't imagine there being anyone else that could touch my mind, body and soul with the passionate manner of BDSM as he introduced Anya/Dove to.

My Wicked Nanny is loaded with exhilarated events and I found it nearly impossible to stop reading. The carnal sensation from the explicit, dreamy descriptions of the sexy activities were tender and deliciously painful that I whimpered with Anya/Dove on more than one occasion.
Jesse Shaw is the new man if my dreams and I too would trust him to introduce me to all sorts of naughty pleasures.

Wicked located in Washington, DC is a exquisite sex club where the high and mighty go to play. Laurel is the seventy year old woman in charge of the employment positions and hires Anya.

Master Isaac a member of the board of executive of Wicked , Master Hawk, Master Jesse, are a few key players in this fast moving narrative that finds the hidden enphorines of many readers.
Secondary characters and dialogue in My Wicked Nanny are bountiful and directs the flow of the storyline: Laurel, Diane Carol, Mr. Florentine, Sunny rounding out this explosive romantic BDSM story.

Ms. Mayburn brings the reader to the BDSM state of mind through her vivid imagination of spice and titillation that is unbelievable.
Ms. Mayburn's secondary characters are believable and the dialogue between all the characters carries a ring of realism. In my opinion, Ms. Mayburn's My Wicked Nanny is a work of sheer genius.
Ms. Mayburn's strokes every sensory neuron and commands them to explodes under her powerful mandates.
Through Ms. Mayburn's words she conducts her own mental BDSM sessions on the mind of the audience throughout MyWicked Nanny.

The vibrating connection between Master Jesse and Dove opens up their hearts and totes the
energy that one waits for a lifetime to share emotionally, physically be it bed, table, St Thomas cross.

Ms. Mayburn's cheers and applauds for My Wicked Nanny in my opinion are well deserved and it drives the reader who enjoys BDSM with a spark of romance into a breathless frenzy, then Ms. Mayburn revives the audience just in time awaiting the next book.

Way to Go Ms. Mayburn!

What’s a nanny to do when she finds her most forbidden desire in a place she least expects?
When Anya takes a job at a local sex club as a server, she never expects to find the object of her desire waiting for her behind the closed doors of Wicked. Taking the name Dove and donning a mask turns is supposed to be for the privacy of the guests, but ends up working out for her when she comes face to face with Jessie, the father of the children takes care of as a nanny.
Jessie is everything Anya has ever wanted and now she finds out he is a Dom. New to the BDSM lifestyle, Anya stumbles through her duties as a server, dodging sadists and learning about public displays of erotic behavior. What fun! Sewing her costumes as a pastime, she crafts some gorgeous and revealing outfits to tempt Master Jessie. For a girl with body issues and a fear that she is not as attractive to Jessie as some of the thinner girls, this is a bold move, but it pays off well. (This in particular was a great spin to the story. Not all heroines should be stick figures. Curvy rules!) I also enjoyed the back story going on with some of the other characters. Ms. Mayburn has a series here that has the potential to be quite amazing.
This book is high up on the kink factor. As Jessie and Anya circle around each other, seductively learning what makes the other tick, we as the reader get to go on that journey with Anya. Ann Mayburn is an author that knows how to curl toes and make me clench my thighs. The sheer visual nature of her scenes was enough to get me crunching ice. There is an introduction to bondage, some very naughty f/f action, voyeurism, anal sex, public sex and more. The inner workings of Wicked are a place I hope to return to time and time again. This book was made for kinksters like me who love more than a brush with BDSM in books. Ann Mayburn scorches the pages as Anya awakens to her inner submissive and Jessie discovers his sweet little Dove is really his nanny. Sparks, people. Lots and lots of kinky little sparks. Can Jessie learn to blend his private life at the club with his personal one at home?
The action is hot and felt very real, so much so that it left me squirming in my seat on more occasions than I want to count. If you enjoy a good story line with hefty element of kink, then you will like this book. It is not a dark BDSM encounter, but rather like a modern day Cinderella finding her prince with the flogger of her dreams. Excellent read that will suck you in on page one.

In the second book in the Club Wicked series, Ann Mayburn turns up the heat! When young nanny Anya Kozlov takes up a second job as a server at the most exclusive BDSM club called Club Wicked, she doesn’t expect to see her employer Master Jesse there. Working under her fake name, Dove, Anya tries her luck when she allows some one-on-one time with Master Jesse. Luckily for her, he doesn’t recognize her and she is able to submit to him and her fantasies even for just one night.

I really enjoyed this book and like I mentioned earlier, Mayburn really turns up the heat in this one. Though shorter in length, that is no excuse to not provide you with some nice kinky scenes to get you through the night. There’s a great variety of kink in here such as BDSM, voyeurism, even some girl action too! So there really is something for everyone.

I find Mayburn’s heroines to be very easy to like. I love their curiosity and their willingness to try everything, yet they are never pushovers and I think striking that balance is key in a submissive. Similarly, I like Mayburn’s brand of Masters as well. They are demanding, but always fair and they look out for their subs like they are supposed to.

What’s I’m really excited about is the introduction of Masters in this book. There’s Master Hawk whom I’ve intrigued about. To be honest, there is one for everyone to choose from! I’m really excited about Master Bryan, the sadist, because he made such an impression on me in this book. His merciless teasing of Dove definitely piqued my interests and I’m dying to know how Mayburn will tell his story! Thank goodness his story is next!

Taking a job as a server in Club Wicked for the extra cash in order to afford her trip to Paris for an internship, Nanny Anya Kozlov was shocked to come face to face with the father of the children she watches over, Jesse, who she'd been head over heels for ever since she clapped her eyes on him and who, apparently, is a Dom.

Donned in a getup that was practically next to nothing and a mask, she was pleased to realize that Jesse is attracted to her but at the same time disappointed that it was only now that he noticed her. She introduces herself as Dove.

Intrigued with the new server named Dove, Jesse saw her potential as a sub and offers to be her Dom. When he finds out that the sultry Dove and mousy Anya are the very same person, he finds himself angry at her deception but still he is unable to resist her.

WOW!!! This book right here is exactly my cup of tea! I loved every minute I spent reading this book, my eyes scanning hungrily over the sentences, eager to know what's going to happen next. I can't stop gushing about it!

The characters are not perfect but rather perfectly flawed and they effortlessly and sweetly reach out to you. They are polar opposites that compliment each other, bringing out the best in each other.

Even though I read a lot of erotic romance, I don't really pay attention to detail in sex scenes but this is not the case here. Ann Mayburn writes sex scenes like no one else can and I find myself devouring them word per word. - a very hot and intense one at that!

It's official, Ann Mayburn, you have seduced me with your books and now I can't seem to stop wanting more.

My Wicked Nanny is the second installment of the Club Wicked series but it can be read as a standalone.

This is the second book in author Ann Mayburn’s Wicked series. I didn’t read the first book, but after reading this one I know I will rectify that soon.

I found this book utterly captivating. Once I picked it up I didn’t want to put it down. It was a perfect mix of traditional sweet romance & stimulating sex scenes.

“First I’m going to tie you up. Then I’m going to fuck you until you’re soaking wet and begging for release. Then I’m going to make you come. Now bring your knees together.”

Along with the great sex we get very refreshing characters. We are presented with a strong woman in Anya who has a sweet feminine side as well, and is presented as extremely shy outside of the club. Jesse is a wonderful Dom who balances his demanding nature with a sweet caring side.He is an amazing father but has the problem of working to much. Together they balance each other superbly. Jesse teaches Anya how to loosen up and exert herself more & Anya teaches Jesse how to take more time from work and enjoy himself & his family.

We are also introduced to some great supporting characters in Sunny, Hawk, Bryan and Isaac. Although Isaac’s story was told in My Wicked Valentine I can’t wait to hear more about the other characters in future books.

This story was both sweet and hot - very much as the title says! If I were to summarize, I'd say this was a fairly simple story of a young woman falling in love with her employer, connected by several erotic interludes. However, only an author with Ann Mayburn's touch can take such a relatively simple story and make it breathe with sweetness and even a few unexpected surprises, while deftly writing some of the hottest erotic love scenes I've ever read. Whew! :)

*still waving a fan in front of my face*

All I can say now is, I hope I don't have to wait long for the next book in the Wicked series!

The more Ann Mayburn I read, the more I love her! :)
All kidding aside - this series is yummy. I love the characters and have become mighty invested in them. This story touched me. I already kinda loved Jesse from My Wicked Valentine, but he completely captured my heart in this one. And Anya was delightful.
Now I just hope that she plans on writing a story for Hawk, cause he keeps popping up and I am intrigued!!

"Anya, you aren't a terrible person. You are one of the most amazing, kind, and loving women I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Look, I know how short life is, how every minute is precious. I don't want to waste the time I do have with you."

Wow, when I came into this series, after reading the first book, I thought it would be a light BDSM read again, BUT MY Wicked Nanny was hot hot heat. It was spicy to a wow level. I wasn't ready, but I had a great time!

The plotline has more juice this time, emotional scenes, and more character growth and story depth compared to the first one.
Their chemistry was so sweet, and I love reading each of their POVs, how they fell for the other and the emotions running through their mind, what more with such forbidden romance.
This is currently top among the series, I can't wait to see how the rest goes!

Woman, you are too damn tempting. Now get that delicious ass of yours out of that door before I kidnap you and take you home with me."

My Wicked Nanny caught me by surprise. I kept seeing it pop up on review sites and just the cover alone made me want to read it because I refused to read a review, not wanting to ruin my experience. Boy did my socks get knocked off.

At first I was confused about the internship and the lady that helps Anya get a job as a waitress at a BDSM club. But that doesn't play a big part in the story. She has taken on this extra job to save money to go to Paris to study costume design.

We meet Anya Kozlov on her first night working at Club Wicked. Having led a pretty tame life so far, the young lady gets her eyes open wide and an undercover name, Dove. While delivering her first order, she is beyond shocked to see her employer at the club, no less to be pulled on his lap when he thinks she is going to pass out. Fortunately for her, she is wearing a mask and totally different clothing than she does during the day while being a nanny to his twin five year old boys. Both Anya and her employer are instantly drawn to each other.

Jesse Shaw is a widower and a member of Club Wicked. While he plays with subs, he never takes one on for very long, not wanting to form too much of an attachment. When he sees dove, he can't believe how attracted to her he is, nor the sense that he has to make her his.

The two begin a journey to explore their attraction and the BDSM elements that play into it. After Anya works her shifts, she meets up with Jessie, but retains her anonymity. Anya knows she is leaving for Paris soon and while she has had a crush on her boss since the beginning, she doesn't think he will accept her once he knows she is the nanny of his kids.

I was instantly pulled into this book and couldn't put it down! I had a few issue though, but that didn't hold up my interest or keep me from running out to get the first book in this series.

Let's get the issues out of the way. There is an age gab of 12 years between the two. Not bad. but it does play some part into the story on how both feel about the Paris trip. The age of Anya also concerned me since she went from shy, nanny, costumes designer wanna-be to a woman who loves BDSM and needs pain to orgasm. It happens slowly, but I guess the sheltered feeling I had of Anya would have been more shocked and shy away from BDSM than what she did.

The good...oh there is too much goodness to list or I would ruin the story. I loved how Anya grew more confident in herself, her body and what she wanted in life. She went from shy to confident and not afraid to get what she wants. I didn't see much growth in Jessie. He was a man who knew what he wanted and when he loves, he loves with his whole heart. Jessie's mother...oh, I want someone like her to come be a grandma to my kids and take them for ice cream.

The BDSM was hot as well as painful at times. It started off slowly, but became intense with each new scene. There is no back tracking and after they find out about each other, the story moves fairly quickly.
As I continue to read this series, I hope we get glimpses of these two as they have their whole lives ahead of them, a BDSM club to attend and twin boys that will keep them running. Good thing Jessie is rich and can afford a "nanny" :)

Liked this a bit less than I did MY WICKED VALENTINE - largely because Master Jesse (a supporting character in MWV) spent too much time Playing Catch With The Idiot Ball before he realized the very submissive Club Wicked Server he was falling hard for was His Own Kids' Mild-Mannered Nanny behind a domino mask(!), and he showed a lack of empathy in not realizing sooner why she might well fear for her job and future if She Just Told Him The Truth once he did! A common problem with "Glitterkink", particularly when the submissive is from a much lower socioeconomic class than the Dominant, is that the Master or Mistress forgets just how easily s/he can destroy the submissive's life with a single moment of anger - a reality somebody from a lower socioeconomic class Always Has To Deal With.

That said - once Master Jesse realized she was actually afraid of what he could do to her (Safewording Out can do that to a Dom if he's not a complete idiot!), he backed off, they talked it out, and they agreed to try again in a honest relationship. From there - I could completely see why Anya (aka "Dove") was in love with Jesse, and how he had come to love her back and want her with him always. Letting her go to Paris as she's originally planned was just the right thing to do, both ethically and for their growing relationship - she got the chance to do what she'd always intended to do and spread her wings, and they both realized that this was a lot more than a fling with b&d.

Kind of wish Lucia aka "Kitten" from My Wicked Valentine (Club Wicked, #1) by Ann Mayburn My Wicked Valentine had had more to do with the story - I really like her, and she might have set Master Jesse's head straight before he went and scared poor Anya.

She’e left her little town and ventured into the world on her own wanting to explore her sexuality before she hits Paris that summer Anya Kozlov obtains employment at Washington DC’s prominent BDSM club thanks to her friend. She never expected to see her other emlpoyer there, her employer whom had starred in her fantasies. His muscled body on display she almost drops a tray of drinks before he grabs her and helps calm her down. She wonders why he doesn’t recognize her, why he can’t tell that its her… But he’s never really looked at the Nanny for his twin sons.

Jesse Shaw is the CEO of a Tech company thats hitting big, so he’s got his brain firing on all cylinders, oblivious to almost everything around him. Until he spies the lovely new sub Dove, at Wicked one night. He can’t stop thinking about her, can’t stop wanting to introduce her to everything she might want to try. But what’s he going to do when he finds out that Dove is Anya his quiet little Nanny, let alone when Dove leaves for Paris.

Together the two of them come together in an explosive dynamic that leaves your toes tingling and your pulse pounding! The way that Ann brings her characters together in this story, and unfolds how it grows. The problems and the quest to find those answers together is absolutely breathtaking!

There’s one scene (and no I am not going to pin point it, I don’t want to spoil it ) that left me crying! Just the sheer emotion and depth to it was awe inspiring! I cannot wait to read more of this Epic series by this author!

HOLY MOTHER OF BOOK LOVERS!
WOW! Ann, you never cease to amaze me. You never fail to make my body hum with arousal. Thank You for that. I loved, loved, loved this book. Jesse and Anya even though there is quite an age difference between them, they are perfect for each other. Their sexual chemistry is off the charts smokin HOT and one to be desired. Any woman should be proud to have a man like Jesse. Ann's descriptions of her characters and places in her stories make me feel as if I am there with them. Makes me think I may want to try me some BDSM myself if I could find a Master like Jesse. LOL. I could feel the emotions coming off the pages. My heart actually ached for Anya when she left for Paris. I EXTREMELY RECOMMEND this book to everyone! And do yourself a favor and read all of Ann's books. Ann, I also live in West Virginia.
OH AND ANN, WILL THERE BE A BOOK ABOUT SUNNY AND MASTER HAWK? In this book Sunny was having bad headaches and losing weight then she snapped at Anya and Master Hawk and that was just not like her character.

I have read a few books now by Ann Mayburn and I love her books. So far, my favorite books by Ann are from the Bondmates series. Maybe because those are the first books that I have read by Ann Mayburn.

I was offered the ARC My Wicked Nanny and I jumped on the chance to read another book from a different series by Ann Mayburn. My Wicked Nanny is the 2nd book in the Club Wicked series. Obviously, you don’t have to read book one first.

As per my usual I don’t provide a synopsis of the books I review since, I really feel the author does a far better job at writing one. Anya Kozlov and Jesse Shaw’s story. The BDSM genre is one of my favorite genres to read and My Wicked Nanny was very good. So much so I that I bought book one, My Wicked Valentine. As soon as I get a chance to read it, I will.

I loved this book and I am looking forward to reading many more of Ann Mayburn’s books.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I give My Wicked Nanny 4.5 stars. Reviewed for TaSTy WordGasms book blog.

My wicked Nanny was just shy of a 5 star read. I thought there was a good balance of romance, lust, and kinky sex to keep me interested in Jesse and Anya.

While I totally enjoyed the book it needed another element, perhaps more drama. I also th I k it should of had another chapter or an epilogue to round out their story.

Good. Usual suspension of disbelief required for the fantastically wealthy Doms and perfect subs. Lots of sex scenes, decent depiction of BDSM.

Nice. No unnecessary ridiculous intrigues, back stabbing, drama or other nonsense. Some hot scenes, respectful dialogue and actions. I like.

Much better than the title would make it seem! Anya may be shy, but she is not super-young or innocent — she knows what she wants.

They call each other Daddy/baby, but it’s not true age play — it’s just playful wink-wink age gap.

I picked this up because Mayburn was on a list I found of “knowledgeable and responsible” BDSM romance writers. Anya’s consent as a submissive partner is clearly enthusiastic.

Coming on the heels of My Wicked Valentine, it was nice to see Lucia and Isaac again. I was interested to see Jesse and Hawk again too. However the story focuses on 22 year old Anya who has just gotten a job in Club Wicked as a server at the bar. She is surprised to see 34 year old Jesse at the club, the man who has hired her as a nanny for his two boys and whose property she is currently living on. Not to mention she has the biggest crush on him.

Spoilers ahead!

This seems to be a running theme with the main heroine of this series, they have dreams and ambitions plus they work hard to get there. I love it. It is really inspiring to see such determined women who put themselves first. I thought it was cool that Anya is into costume design and making her own clothes. With her body shape and interest, she reminds me of Jenny from the Gossip Girl book series!

First of all, I found the same problem as the previous book, Valentine, it seemed like Anya aka Dove and Jesse had not defined anything before they were getting intimate. It felt weird to me and the fact that the age gap between them is so huge is a no-no.

I did like the part on consent and talking about preferences.

I especially think that the scene where Anya uses her safe word and Jesse immediately stops is very powerful and it speaks to the respect he has for her, despite his emotions. I was happy that he did not ignore her or try to make her seem like it was not a big deal. This is really important not just for fictional romance but in real life. Certainly can learn some things from this lifestyle.

I am glad Jesse did not hold Anya back but insisted that she follow her plans of going to Paris. How many romances will unfold with the guy following the girl when she goes overseas? Unrealistic.

The sexual content here is much much more compared to Valentine. The heat is definitely turned up. It is not the first time I have read about a threesome but certainly the first time I encountered male/female/female/male, voyeurism, a foursome, anal sex, bondage of breasts, use of nipple clamps, anal and vaginal sex at the same time. That was new for me. There are so many sections under the BDSM lifestyle. It was interesting to be introduced to some of them.

I didn't know how to accept Jesse and Anya being cool with someone else being intimate with them at the same time, in other words, a threesome. I suppose it is my values. Anal sex is something I find disgusting as you poop from that hole. But well, different people like different things.

It is also quite unbelievable for me that the characters actually don't mind tasting vaginal discharge, semen and then kissing each other on the lips. How varginal discharge can be considered "honey" is beyond me.

I think the sex scenes were very steamy and realistic especially the anal sex because Anya has never had it before. It felt iffy to me that Anya likes pain when she has sex, I suppose she is a masochist. It is hard to know when the line is crossed and I felt that it was quite extreme to have her mouth Jesse's six inch (is that even realistic?) huge penis and she could not breath for two seconds. That was scary, I was scared for her.

It felt abit weird for me when Anya called Jesse "Master". I knew it was part of her role as his Submissive but still felt rather degrading. Some of the scenes would actually strike me at other times as gross, weird or disgusting but when I read them in the story, I would say they were rather tastefully done. I felt that it was inappropriate when most of Anya's time was spent with Jesse rather than working. Maybe the author just played down the working scenes as this is erotica.

The big issue here was that Anya did not reveal who she was to Jesse. It was good that he did not force it out with her but he could have confronted her in a different way. I love how good Anya is with Mark and Teddy, it is really adorable. That was one of the reasons why I accepted the age gap between Jesse and her. I think the other reason is that Anya is independent and I respect that. I was proud that Anya despite being shy by nature was so confident when rebuking Diane. Most females characters would have felt guilty and they shouldn't!

But overall, the story was not bad and it was written well. I could see Anya's growth but I wished that she would not pine over Jesse so much while in Paris. I hope that Sunny and Hawk will get their story.

Whoa, in book two of Club Wicked series Mrs Mayburn definitely turned up the heat!

In order to pay for her upcoming trip to Paris, Nanny Anya Kozlov started her second job at an exclusive BDSM club, Wicked. What she didn't expect was to see at the club was her boss, Master Jesse, the father of the twins she babysits.

The passion and the steamy sexy-time between Anya and Master Jesse were sweet, intense and out of control. Usually I am not a fond on reading pain-play (light), but I found myself oversee that part of the book. There were time I am not sure if I like how Anya behaves when she is with Master Jesse, but then I have to remind myself, Anya's character were suppose to be very young and native.

Anya is caring and sweet, young and full of curiosity. Her love was passionate, energetic, enthusiastic, trusting and real. It's no wonder Master Jesse fallen head over heels for Anya. The Dom and Sub relationship between Anya and Master Jesse were well-balanced, Anya trusted Jesse to explored her sexuality, and Master Jesse pushes her outside of box and to learn to enjoy herself. I also like how Anya opened her Master Jesse's eyes to spend more time with his family, and enjoy life outside of work.

My Wicked Nanny was sizzling, fun, and sweet. It's a must read!
