I read this book series as a child, and several parts of the plot have stuck with me through the years. I thought the idea of having vampirism be a recognized disease made a great intro to the sci-fi world, but have to wonder about the way Frezza created his alien race. Even in a space comedy, there should be an internal logic to the structure.
