This is really a nicely produced book! I enjoyed the selection of journeys, mix of graphics/fonts/details, and--especially and happily--the photographs! (On that note, the book would best be read, then, on a tablet or as a physical copy--i.e. not via "regular"/e-ink ereader.)
There's just enough info in each entry to whet the reader's appetite; the entries are by no means exhaustive, but certainly provide the critical info for you to find out more elsewhere as desired. The description lengths vary; some are longer than others, and I'm always curious as to the whys and wherefores on that--the editors' whim? But of course, being nonexhaustive, it can't please everyone. ;) What interests me is by no means going to interest everyone else in exactly the same way. So, kudos to the editors for producing a great starting point for readers, whether armchair or IRL traveler.
I received an eARC of the book from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
