More a deck set then a book. Individual cards with quotes by the Dalai Lama. Good to flip through or pick one and focus/meditate.

Een fijn, klein boekje met een selectie van uitspraken van de Dalai Lama, van one-liners tot een verhandeling over de onbaatzuchtigheid van de bijen, die instinctief met elkaar samenwerken om de kolonie te laten overleven. Wij zijn zoveel intelligenter, maar ook zoveel armer, qua sociale verantwoordelijkheid, dan de bijen. Mooi gezegd. De kern van zijn visie, 'Mededogen en verdraagzaamheid zijn geen tekenen van zwakte maar van kracht', komt in veel vormen terug. Ik las geen eye-openers, wel is dit een prima boekje om in je zak te stoppen en op rustige momenten even te lezen. In de file of op een druk perron. Dan kun je wel wat verdraagzaamheid gebruiken.

When there are so many quotes to choose from, I'm not sure why these are so repetitive. Many of the quotes were on the same topic and saying the same thing, just in slightly different words.

Very inspirational. Everyone should definitely read this book, expands your perspective on certain things in life and the world we live in.
