It’s a really good history of the Catholic Worker. It’s interesting to read it in 2024, 44 years AFTER Dorothy Day’s death, when the book was published seven years BEFORE her passing. Dorothy’s life and perspective were prophetic in many ways but the book’s perspective is definitely limited, being frozen in time.

A wonderful review of the live of Dorothy Day and the history of the Catholic Worker Movement. Beautifully written, complex, kind, and informative. Covers a little known an under appreciated aspect of American Catholic history.
