AND BABY MAKES FIVE... Jarod and Sandy were going to be married. They loved each other -- and they were going to be parents. They were thrilled at the prospect, but their parents...!
Dan knew his innocent daughter had been seduced by that teenage Romeo, while Kelly was certain that little temptress had set her sights on Jarod.
Neither one was willing to believe the whole thing was entirely due to the power of love - until Cupid's arrow hit them. Not that things became easy. Kelly and Dan were too stubborn to admit they were wrong without a fight. But how long could anyone go on fighting when fate sent the perfect partner their way?

Loved this book, it was just so sweet and funny. The teenage children of the h/H are in love and pregnant and that is how they meet when the hero comes to her house like an avenging angel, thinking that she is a child. They soon find out that their kids are serious and plan to get married. Now, the heroine is conflicted, she too was young when she fell pregnant and though she loved her husband, it was a struggle to survive. She has been widowed for seven years and is in many ways an innocent (she is 35). I loved the chemistry between the h/H and especially how the heroine's son confronts the hero about his intentions towards his mother and the pregnancy scare for the heroine was hilarious especially keeping in mind the children's condition. A sweet book!!
3.75 stars I thought the story was pretty cute. Yes, the premise may sound extremely icky to other people. However, I am an anime fan and I'm used to outrageous maybe even shocking and forbidden storylines. Possible spoilers below
What I liked:
1) The premise was pretty interesting to me. Sorry, I like taboo and forbidden sometimes if it's well done. Now would I want that to happen with my own kids? Probably not. Only in my Harlequin world I do. :P
2) I like the hero. He was funny and hot. I liked that he knew what he wanted and there was no dilly-dallying or playing silly mind games in regards to how he felt for the heroine.
3) I like that the heroine was short and the hero was extremely tall because I'm short too! I like to imagine I'm the heroine sometimes. LOL
4) Despite the risqué storyline it was a fun and lighthearted read. I would definitely re-read this again.
5) yay for epilogues, I always like to see what happens after the HEA.
What you may not like:
1) teenage pregnancy
2) risqué plot - uh teenage kids and pregnancy then their own parents doing the funky chicken ya, it's a tad eyebrow raising to the sky but I'm just going along with it 😁
3) I myself found this a little icky lol but this "cabin in the woods" thing uh, I think it's was a little too much that they all had their x-rated fun in there hahaha
4) my dislike initially was that they h's son seemed to forsake his mom when the whole crisis happened in the beginning of the book. I guess I'm projecting because I've got two sons myself, LOL. But as a mother of boys and reading those first chapters I'm like, oh no! Is that what boy sons do to their mother when a girl comes along?! *_*
In conclusion if you don't get turned off by the outrageous plot this is a fun read. Even though the topic is extremely heavy somehow the author was able to write the story in a lighthearted way - maybe too lighthearted given what's gong on but that's fine by me. Those young'uns are really lucky that the H is rich so they really won't suffer as much as the h did. Anyhoo, loved the book this will be in my keeper pile.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I forget how risqué the Harlequin genre can be, especially books written in the 90s. Some of those authors can show today's ones a thing or 2 *snicker snort*
The title says it all, really.
STILL, POSSIBLE SPOILERS: 1st couple = Jarod and Sandy - high schoolers - insta love - unexpected pregnancy - marriage + 2nd couple = Dan and Kelly - parents to 1st couple - insta chemistry - explosive connection - marriage + Drama = teenage hormones, pregnancy hormones, familial conflict, UST, screaming matches, usual pusual stuff of that era
Yet not at all heavy, what with all the sappy dialogue and loads of exclamation marks.
Sandy Marquette and her father Dan move to WV in the middle of her senior year. Jarod McGraw is the HS star quarterback and lives with his widowed mom, Kelly. Jarod and Sandy fall in love and she gets pregnant. Dan barges into Kelly's house for the confrontation. The kids decide to get married and the parents fall in love too. Interesting variation on the theme.
