Original Review: 4/5 - 18 Feb-19 Feb

After reading K -メモリー・オブ・レッド- 1, I was really unsure of where I stood with this manga. I didn't know if I liked it or not, and was very confused by the plot line. Continuing on with the second volume in the series, my confusion has cleared up somewhat. It's much easier to see where things are coming from now and although there is backstory I don't seem to know, but this volume is so much more enjoyable than the first.

This volume had such drama but comedy as well, and it's a mix that goes down well. The characters are shown to be more in depth, and we learn more about Homra's past, which is quite the treat. We know more about each of the characters, including Yata-san, and it's wonderful to go so in depth with the characters when Gora did not need to.

I thoroughly enjoyed this volume and I would recommend this to anyone with a joy for violent gang/mafia manga. Such a beautiful series, I can't wait to read the last issue of Red and read the rest of the K series.

Re-Read for Manga a Month: 4.5/5 - 2nd March

After reading this again, I found it much more enjoyable than the first time I read it. I found I could laugh more easily at the jokes within the manga, and I felt much more relaxed, almost like I was with a familiar friend of mine. It's easier to notice the character development after reading it a second time, the way Yata develops and slowly becomes more three dimensional.

The cliff hanger in this volume is actually more nerve racking than it was the first time, despite the fact I know what happens. Now I can connect with the characters a lot more, it's much more anxiety inducing to know that this big horrible thing may happen to them.

Definitely much better reading after the second time. Much more enjoyable. Highly recommended.

İlk kitaba göre daha tanıdık olduğu için olsa gerek daha bir hoş geldi bu kitap. Karakterleri tanıdıkça sevmeye de başladım. Eğlenceliydi ve çizimleri oldukça güzeldi. Beğendim.

Interesting and curious, the first two volumes made me want to continue my reading. So many questions are raised... About the characters: how they met, why are they following Mikoto ? What's about that red king and the SCEPTRE4...

A full season is available if you want to watch the anime but be carefull, unlike the manga, the story begins without preamble with fighting battles against members of the Blue King and an action that takes place much later in time than the manga.

As a result, if you started the anime, you will find answers about the characters and their past in the book. If you perform the opposite way, you will miss some pieces of the puzzle because nothing clarifies before the episode 6. Also you will not meet all the same characters.

In both cases, it is a pleasant story with interesting group dynamics. Drawings made by Kuroe Yui contribute to the success of this series. I am a fan!

I feel pretty much the same about this volume as I did for the first one. It was quite enjoyable. The brotherhood shared between this group of guys is very strong. It is amusing seeing the interactions between them all. Anna's place in the Homra finally became clear to me. I just could not figure out why they had a little girl tagging along with them. It seems a little weird that this story ended with a funeral though. It makes me feel like there is something missing. As far as I know, this manga is completed though. Nothing I can really do about the sudden end to it all. There really is not large plot, just a bunch of short stories, so it isn't like anything is left unexplained.
