Medjugorje: THE LAST APPARITION-How it Will Change the World

Rate this book
THE LAST APPARITION goes well beyond the basics of what author Wayne Weible calls the most important event happening in the world today the ongoing daily apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary to six chosen visionaries in the little village of Medjugorje in Bosnia-Herzegovina. It is packed with vital new information in addition to the basic story of its beginnings and where it is today. Included is startling commentary on the alleged secrets and how they will change the world forever. Underlying the story is the disclosure by the Mother of Jesus that she will never come to earth again in apparition. THE LAST APPARITION is a must read!

About the Author

Wayne Weible has authored eight books on his experiences and investigations of the reported apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Medjugorje, all which have become international best sellers. His first book--Medjugorje: The Message, has sold more than 500,000 copies in the U.S. and an estimated 500,000 in other languages around the world. This is the top selling book internationally on the Medjugorje apparitions. His other books include: Medjugorje The Mission; Letters From Medjugorje; Final Harvest; A Child Shall Lead Them; The Medjugorje Prayer Book; Are The Medjugorje Apparitions Authentic?; and The Medjugorje Fasting Book

Weible is a former newspaper publisher and columnist. He became interested in the alleged apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, to six young Croations in the tiny farming village of Medjugorje in Bosnia-Hercegovina, in October 1985. Weible decided to write an article about them for his four weekly newspapers. It was while viewing a video tape of the apparitions as research for the article that Weible, a Protestant at that time, states, I suddenly felt a strong message within my heart that not only was I to write about these events, but I was to devote my life to the spreading of its basic message of reconciliation with God.

The Miracle At Medjugorje, a collection of a series of newspaper articles, was originally published in Sept. 1986. From an initial printing of 3,000 copies, Miracle At Medjugorje distribution has reached an astounding 100 million-plus copies and is still distributed throughout the world. Weible Columns, Inc. continues to publish The Medjugorje Newsletter monthly.

Weible spends most of his professional time writing and lecturing on the phenomenon of Medjugorje, travelling throughout the world and the United States. He has appeared on numerous national, regional and local television and radio programs including the Mother Angelica Television Show, and the Oprah Winfrey Show. Weible has traveled to Medjugorje more than 96 times and continues to lead groups each year. He is personally acquainted with all of the visionaries. In 1991, he converted to the Roman Catholic Church; however, he continues to emphasize that The message coming from the Virgin Mary in Medjugorje is for all faiths, not just for Catholics--or for that matter just for Christians. Weible is married and lives with his wife in Hiawassee, Georgia. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, with a degree in Journalism and is preparing to pursue a Masters degree in theology.

An Inspiration. This book complements The Message most satisfactorily. It puts it all in perspective by linking it to other apparitions and their historical background, and also looks into the future, modestly and circumspectly. A very rewarding book!

This is a good overview of the events in Medjugorie going back to 1981. The story of Medjugorie is certainly inspirational in its own right and this book will inspire anyone who is learning about it for the first time. If you have read any of the authors earlier books on Medjugorie you may find there is a little but not a lot that is new here. I had a few niggles reading this book: Wayne is a journalist which may lead him to focus on the sensational at times and while I wouldn’t question his sincerity I am uneasy about the claim by this book that this is Our Lady’s final apparition on Earth which is disputed by at least 3 of the visionaries. Also the author speculates about the secrets in the book and what they might be and this I find difficult to understand as surely this is not his place. At best it is a distraction and at worst it is undermining the mission of Our Lady. If you were reading about Medjugorie for the first time I would recommend the book written by visionary Mirjana: MY HEART WILL TRIUMPH.

Very Inspiring

I have always believed in Our Blessed Mother and her warnings. But, I feel a change in myself since reading this book. I usually have no New Year resolution, but mine for this year and forever is to try to have a purer heart, and to try to see Jesus in everyone, even people I don't like. I feel her revelations are true, and it's time for people to start loving each other. The alternative is a bit scary.

A must read for those who wish to understand Medjugorje

Medjugorje is one of the most important spiritual stories of our time. The author does an incredible job telling the story on many different levels. From a spiritual perspective regarding the importance of the message to the world and to each individual. From an historical perspective regarding how the messages began the context behind them, the challenges that the visionaries faxed and how it survived despite many trials and challenges. Finally the empirical evidence of the fruits of the messages which demonstrates the truth of the messages based upon the countless positives that have resulted from it. A must read for anyone seeking to understand Medjugorje and grow spiritually from it's message

This book is a must for your salvation!

Having been on pilgrimage 4 times and another planned for early summer, I can attest to everything in Wayne’s book. He died before the celebration of 40 years of apparitions in 2020, and since then the Vatican has sent two permanent “visitors” to live among the people and help assess pilgrims needs. In Mirjana’s home are a pair of the pope’s shoes sent to her by St. John Paul II with a note saying if he wasn’t Pope, he would be there in person. But as things were, his shoes would have to suffice. If you believe, but especially if you don’t, you must go there where the air is very thin between heaven and earth. Ginny Little

A must read for the Catholic faithful. A very personal view from the author's experience in Medjugorje. Mr. Weible discovered the apparitions and was moved to learn as much as he could about them in his journey. I had heard some things about them and wanted to learn more - and I'm glad I did. Pick this one up and dedicate some time to it.

I read this in 2020, during lockdown, so I might be biased. However, I feel like there are much. Better books about Medjugorje that are not so much gloom and doom. Even other books by Wayne Weible.

Wayne Weible isn't the reason this book is 5 stars... rather the events he is recounting and explaining is what makes it so special.

Life changing. I knew little about Medjugorje. Devotion to Rosary prayer and a subtle relationship to Mary, the mother of God, is what drew me to this book.

As Catholic prophecy, not yet approved by the Church, I respect the message. Mary's presence and messages have only produced good in our world. The message here is serious in that it draws humanity to conversion, away from self and sin to one of heaven and faith, that which is Christ.

The message is heavy and takes time to digest. Under its weight, I am pulled to a sense of urgency in my prayer life. It evoked in me a healthy fear of God. I am drawn to live more holy. Though the message presses, I am strangely settled.
