Primrose, Minnesota > book 2
Jake & Bri's story

Detective Jake Rawlings works for the Primrose Police Department.
Doctor Sabrina "Bri" Miller is Liberty's business partner & Mabel's niece (see book 1, Playing with Fire).

Dancers are going missing at an elite gentlemen's club & the FBI has been called in to investigate. Jake and his partner, Mace Turner, are pulled into the investigation to help. Sabrina is a Criminal Psychologist that's been added to the team as a profiler. Since she used to dance at this club, she's comfortable with the scene & decides to take things a step further.

This was a longer story than the first, for which I am thankful. The characters (lead and supporting) were very good. The resolve was extremely lacking in detail and climax; the "big ending" was over within a paragraph (so it seemed), with no conflict or sub-struggles to make it exciting. There's a hint as to who the next book may involve.

I am all for independently published authors, but they still need a proof reader. I found several typos where it seemed auto-fill used the wrong word and nobody ever caught it before publishing. It's distracting & takes away from the experience.

I love this romantic story of two strong-willed people

If you take one alpha detective and one determined Doctor what do you get? fireworks! This story from Mya, although different from book one, was fabulous. The relationship between these two is butting heads with lots of love. I look forward to book 3
