Jedda Robaard grew up in a small town on the island of Tasmania, Australia. She now lives in Victoria, Australia, with her family and a host of furry and feathered creatures, including a nutty dachshund.
A super simple read about lost and found. It's amazing the things that you find where you least expect it. Cute book for little ones to enjoy on their own.
The little Lion who Lost her Roar is about a lion who wakes up one morning to discover that her roar has gone missing. She tries, but that all that comes out is a barely audible noise. So, the little lion sets off to find her roar. She hears all sorts of roars- the roar of traffic, the roar of the sea, but none of them are her roars. After a tiring day looking for her roar, the little lion comes home to her mom... and as soon as she sees her she finally lets out a loud roar.
Activity: The book gives us a few examples of thinks that roar. We are given a lion's roar, the roaring wind and sea, and the roar of traffic. Go around the room asking the kids if they can think of something else that roars. Write their ideas on the board and see how long of a list they can make!

This was cute. I liked the interactive panels and I think the story with different kinds of roars is a neat way to present the book. I wish it was a bit longer and had more interaction.
