Art & Practice of Creative Visualization

Rate this book
There's more to creative visualization than meets the eye In this groundbreaking volume, first published in 1967, Ophiel lays out the 10 Laws of Creative Visualization. Once understood, they are as simple and as real as the laws of gravity or magnetism. In other words, they work.

Ophiel tells us how to do -- and undo -- the magic of visualization. Whether we want a new job, a new house, a new relationship, or a warm coat -- we can manifest that which will create happiness and comfort in our lives. And, should we discover that we've gotten it wrong -- that we neither want nor need what we've visualized, there are techniques to undo what has been done. Along with the theory, Ophiel offers plenty of practice in working with symbols, visualizing physical reality, making a "treasure chart, " and understanding the role of emotion in visualization.

Work with the symbols in the book and learn how to create your own. This is practical metaphysics at its best. Love spells are forever, but if you want the object of your affection to go away, Ophiel tells you how to do that as well.

This book is one of the better works on the art of creative visualization. If you are not into ceremonial magic, then you can overlook this part and still work the exercises which give a good grounding in the practice of creative visualization.

The author has a tendency to repeat themself, but the author states their reason for so doing. The book starts with the laws of creative visualization, giving two basic exercises with which to start, and then moves on to more serious practice.

I would have very little hesitation in recommending this book to anyone interested in the esoteric or just manifesting a better life for themselves.

One of the better books out there on the subject of creative visualization albeit not the first one I read, and that one was Denning & Phillips which I wasn't crazy about. The problem with the idea of creative visualization is every author fails to explain this all happens in your "imagination" not behind your eyelids like I and many first timers originally believed. Even Ophiel never mentions this important part.

With that said, this is still one of the better books on the subject. Why? Because it is purely a psychological methodology which works more on the level of Alpha Thinking or Autosuggestion does but with a bit more flair. Ed Peach aka Ophiel wrote "viginettes", like essays two-six pages in length where he discusses advanced techniques from creative visualization, Cabala magic, astral projection and so on offered in the back of his books.

Ophiel will teach you how to use your mind for success. I used his techniques to make sales when I was selling door-to-door water softeners and I was only visualizing the "ideal" prospect who 1. had a sincere need for a softener and 2. had the credit/wherewithal to pay for it. Then I began using it for help with referrals from my customers and that was terrific! This system works folks. If you want to succeed in life, here's a manual which will teach you how. Recommended.

Great book! I can honestly say this is a masterpiece if you're into this kind of thing. I'm about to go through it and read it again right before the New Year! But, this time with my highlighter ready.
