In keeping with the spirit of Max Lucado's Grace for the Moment , Charles Swindoll's Wisdom for the Way , and John MacArthur's Truth for Today comes the latest edition into the Daily Devotional series. In Hope for Each Day , Billy Graham offers spiritual comfort to guide us through our daily lives. Rev. Graham is a national treasure and has counseled numerous political leaders and provided comfort in times of public crisis.
Billy Graham was an American evangelical Christian evangelist and an ordained Southern Baptist minister. Graham is best known for his evangelistic missions or “Crusades.” He believed God knew no borders or nationalities. Throughout his career, Graham preached to millions around the world. He met and prayed with every U. S. president from Dwight Eisenhower to Barack Obama.
Graham authored 34 books, including his memoir, Just As I Am. In 1983, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Ronald Reagan. In 1996, Graham and his wife, Ruth, received the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest award Congress can bestow on a private citizen.
Graham married Wheaton College classmate Ruth Bell Graham in 1943. They had five children ( Ruth Graham, Gigi Graham Tchividjian, Anne Graham Lotz, Nelson, & Franklin Graham) and made their home in the mountains of North Carolina. They were married for 64 years before Ruth’s death in 2007. Graham died from natural causes on February 21, 2018, at his home in Montreat, North Carolina, at the age of 99.
Hope for Each Day, Words of Wisdom and Faith Large Deluxe By Billy Graham is the edition that I am reviewing. It is a rerelease of a 2002 devotional with a gorgeous, leathersoft cover. It is beautifully laid out with bible verses, devotionals and a new Hope for each day.
Hope for Each Day, Words of Wisdom and Faith is a testament to the ageless wisdom of Billy Graham. It is a lovely volume that would be a gift that would please anyone. It is not aimed at men or women or families...it is for everyone.
Hope for Each Day, Words of Wisdom and Faith is an inspiring and uplifting book. If you are in search of a devotional then this would be the one!
Highly recommend Hope for Each Day, Words of Wisdom and Faith.
A daily devotional book with each page as a day of the year.
I read this on a daily basis with my wife's grandfather over the last year of his life. It often prompted meaningful discussions about values, relationships, family and spiritual development.
I started reading this book because I was going through a rough time. The death of my papa, uncle, grammy and neighbor who was barely 12, within a few months prior to reading, led me to grab this book. And before this I wasn’t too much of a believer. But because of mentioned situation I needed help coming to terms with it. This book I began reading while at a convent (my great aunt is a nun). It got me through the additional passing of my other grandma, a health diagnosis and in the overall hatred of myself. It helped me realize my value and that My view of myself means nothing compared to God’s view. This book has helped me with the overflowing peace and hope you receive by finding God, and ultimately finding yourself.
I really enjoyed everything from the well bounded leather to the look of the cover and that is just the outside. Billy Graham is a master of words and can really show the reader a side of Gdd that he wants you to delve into and spend time with. If you believe in the motions of this man and faith based book then when you read it there will be a sense of peace and forthcoming of blessings.
I am on my second copy of this daily devotional by Billy Graham. I read the first one until it fell apart, then rejoiced when I found another copy at Half Price Books. Billy Graham's wisdom and humility , coupled with the living Word of God, teaches, encourages, and inspires me whenever I read it.
Second time reading through this daily devotional. Billy Graham was a very wise and spiritual master of words and it shines through in this inspirational book. Short (one page each) daily devotions for each day of the year. Some days in this past year needed more than one devotional so I finished it early this time around.
This is my second year reading Billy Graham's daily devotionals, which was inspirational. I love when he brings his personal experience to the passage. Next year I will devote to a Bible chapter a day.
I only started reading this in the summer and finished it in December, since I would often read multiple "days" in one day. 2021 has been a difficult year for our world & I wanted something positive to read. I did enjoy this book.
I have read this devotional everyday since 2007 HIGHLY RECOMMEND for a gift of inspiration, encouragement, knowledge and wisdom to share other others the gift that keeps giving
