Bubble Riding: Children Lower Stress, Reduce Anxiety and Learn How to Visualize Positive Outcomes

Rate this book
Children love to visualize, or imagine, filling their bodies with the colors of the rainbow. Children join the sea child and turtle as they take a bubble ride into the world of relaxation. Visualization, also known as creative imagery , can lower stress and anxiety levels. It can have a positive impact on your child s health, creativity, and performance. It can be used to decrease pain and anger. The colorful imagery in this story quiets the mind and relaxes the body so your child can manage stress and fall asleep peacefully. This is one of four stories featured on the Indigo Ocean Dreams CD.

A harmadik, frissen megjelent relaxációs mesekönyv Lori Lite-tól.

When I first read this with my daughter, I was a little disappointed - I just didn't think she would like it and it seemed long and repetitive. But as I sit here at 7.20pm with her fast asleep beside me, I can say this is the FIRST book in her nearly three years of life she has fallen asleep while I have been reading to her - not ONCE but TWICE out of the last five nights. When I have said it is time for the bubble riding book, she is very excited to go get her PJs on, brush her teeth and jump into bed. She is a little whirlwind, and anything that can help her relax - even if we only get a few weeks out of it - is a great investment in my opinion.

This was ok - but just that. It was a little too repetitive, and not in the fun, rhythmic sing-song way that a lot of books for children are. It was just long, wordy and repetitive, which is irritating when you are reading aloud. Our youngest liked the illustrations, especially the rainbow and turtle.

I can imagine, however, that if you are playing this on a CD, lying in the dark, it might be a soothing way to help your children settle down for sleep.

I liked the book, but it was boring. Although its meant to be boring, it still makes me want to give it two stars. The relaxation was okay, I felt like this book wasn't very relaxing. Overall, 3.30 stars.
