While not a book for reading, the book provides some great information regarding each of our 68 established State parks. Our state parks are as varied as the people who visit them. I was glad to read a brief history of each park. Some of our state parks were gifts preserve their history. Others were a gift to prevent the loss of the solitude or uniqueness of the area. With so many parks, there is a park within a destination. In my travels, I will try to check out more parks and spend a little time in them. This book will provide a valuable reference for each one. A feature that I really liked was the map that is included for each park - large and small.

Great guide, broken down into regions. Highlights recommended activities and sites. Includes State Recreational Areas (SRA). Love it!

This was really helpful and would have been even more helpful had I read it before we went on vacation last year.

This book is so great I will have to return my library copy and buy one. I thought we'd done all the cool stuff - I guess I was really really wrong.
