The first part of the book gives a history of quilts which is further broken down by style. I couldn't help but notice the quilts shown were northern states. What happened to the quilts from the south? that sent me down a rabbit trail.
The rest of the book has a few quilt patterns showing how the quilt is broken down by fabric, cutting, piecing, borders, batting, backing, binding, and finally quilting.
This is a great book for beginners or for someone interested in partial quilt history.
