Being left at the altar by your darling husband has to be is bad enough for any woman, you have to face the stares, the whispers, finger pointing and the nasty remarks, all whilst the hero of your dreams is off doing who knows what. But if he also goes as far as suggesting you get rid of the baby your caring I say push the idiot off a cliff and run as far as you can, for he will never be worth it.

In this very sweet and sensual read from Jennifer Faye this is the situation our heroine Meghan faces, but to make it a whole lot worse she is a celebrity chef so the focus on her non marriage is far worse than for the ordinary woman out there.

She thankfully uses her good sense and takes off running. She lands up in the arms of I'll-make-you-hot-with -just-a-smile Cash.

Their relationship develops very nicely on a friendship and romantic level, but if he will let her stick around when she drops the pregnancy bombshell is a bit of a hit and miss as anything can happen. Will it be her ex all over again, is she bound for a lifetime of heartache of will the rancher come to her rescue?

The character of Meghan was great and I felt sorry for her being pregnant and alone, I felt worse for her than I would a non famous character, as it seems so much worse when you not only have a few eyes starting your way but the whole world. I adored that the author gave her courage to face it, not as much as I would have liked, but yes she was still strong and that counted.

The character of Cash was simply dreamy! He is so kind and considerate that it melted my heart and I would instantly grab the opportunity to snag this man's heart if given the chance. I totally loved that he picks up on what Meghan needs and goes for the win to help her get there.

The fact that the author gave Cash a background of a celebrity status going too far in the public eye was truly great, it brought him down to Meghan's level and left a entire world of possibilities for this couple.

The backdrop settings were sweet and sensual, giving the read the perfect where love blossoms feel. I am taking away a message of "When life seems bleak, the grass on the other side is truly greener, for as hopeless as it might seem, take a moment, step back and you will find the answer is already there waiting for you"

I recommend this read for readers looking for a sweet, sensual and kind hearted read filled with new beginnings arising from old hurt and past failures.

In Rancher to The Rescue: Meghan Finnegan is a bride on the run. Jilted by the Groom when she approached the Altar she can’t make her escape fast enough. It was bad enough he didn’t want her but he didn’t want the baby she was carrying either. Going so far as suggesting she end her pregnancy. Running straight to Cash she asks for his help in making her escape. A local celebrity chef she just wants to hide away for a little while and make some decisions on how to move on.

Cash Sullivan knows a thing or two about being under a microscope when it comes to the press. Growing up his abusive father involved him in the robbery of a liquor store at the age of nine. He is sent to live with his Grandparents after a tragic accident ended the life of both parents. But he soon learned his grandfather was not much better than his own father. Verbally abusive he decided that marriage and children would never be a part of his life. He feared he would be abusive also. But Cash is a strong, sweet man who watches over his grandmother. And sexier than any cowboy, should ever be. His focus is the ranch he owns.

Seeing Meghan sick and upset Cash offers to take her to his ranch to relax and lay low for a little while. But soon he is looking forward to shared meals and wants to spend more time with her. But what does all this mean to the confirmed bachelor and what will happen when he finds out she is carrying a baby. I liked that Cash was really there for her as a friend and she was just what this cowboy needed after being burned himself in the romance department.

I really enjoyed Rancher to the Rescue. It showed two people overcoming the terrible obstacles that life can sometimes throw our way. And it brings hope! Hope that you are able to pick yourself back up, dust yourself off and move on. Hopefully it will be to a better place. This is Jennifer’s debut Novel and I have said a number of times in other reviews I have written. So I am going to say it this time with her. I love when and author writes with zero or no errors to their writing. To me it shows an author who knows her talent and is well versed. Well done Jennifer, I look forward to reading more from you in the future.

I adored Rancher to the Rescue and came away thinking to myself why on earth don't I read more books with Cowboys as the Heroes?!?

Where do I begin with what I really loved about this book? I think the start would be a fantastic place. If the first chapter can draw me in i'm hooked, I cant put a book down if the opening is great. Rancher to the Rescue had the best opening! We meet celebrity-chef Meghan Finnegan fleeing from the church... on her wedding day! And while that's made me sit up, what's fantastic is we're watching it play out from the point of view of Cash (LOVE the name), former rodeo champ, who has a very cynical view on the whole idea of marriage. Is Cash in the right place at the wrong time or the wrong place at the right time?

Meghan flee's the scene with the help of a startled Cash, a gentleman at heart who kindly offers Meghan a place to stay at his homestead while she sorts her self out. I really admire authors who take the standard story and add a spin on it to change things up and that's what Jennifer Faye has done with Rancher to the Rescue. Meghan is pregnant to her ex-fiancee, not that Cash knows that to begin with.

There's so many little things about this story that I loved that all added up to equal one great book for me. Cash Sullivan is just devine and the way he's written has me seriously wondering why I don't read the cowboy books more. He's hot, which is a given but it's the way he rises to the challenges in his way and the way he faces each situation as they come along. He adores his grandma and he opens his home to a lady in need but not because he wants to get with her but because he genuinely wants to help Meghan.

A special mention goes out to Cash's Grandma... she's adorable in every way and added value to the story.

This is Jennifer's first book for Harlequin and I'll be putting her on my list of new authors to keep an eye on because Rancher to the Rescue was a real winner in my eyes! It was funny, heart-warming, exciting and full of gorgeous settings with wonderful characters and I was completely lost within the story while I read it in the weekend.

Loved it!

She was the perfect bride, the TV celebrity chef who was about to have the perfect wedding, to be broadcasted on television. As she reached the altar, the groom informed her that he neither wanted her nor their unborn child. She bolted from the Church in shock and horror and encounters....no, not exactly a knight in shining armor on a white horse, more like a cowboy with a pickup truck. But it was enough to get her away from the humiliating scene while her 'jilted' bridegroom confessed ignorance to the assembled paparazzi as to to the reason why she'd run away. Rancher Cash Sullivan offers Meghan Finnegan a way out of an embarrassing scene and a quiet place to recuperate while she gets her life together. And oh, so slowly, the two start to care for each other. But deep down, Cash knows they have no future. The ghosts from his past, ghosts of violence and alcoholism, make him unfit to be a husband and a father. The best he can do for his beloved is help her get a new job, far away from him so she can start a new life. Meghan, however, takes this all a little differently than he'd have thought.

It makes you wonder who's doing the rescuing around here!

RANCHER TO THE RESCUE is the debut novel from Jennifer Faye, a Harlequin Mills and Boon Romance release and it's a worthy debut. She's served us up a love story which fairly sizzles with sexual tension while keeping intimate details off the page. A love story which reiterates the message that the healing power of love can help people to throw off the shadows of the past and look forward to a bright future full of love and hope. Sure, isn't that what everyone wants? I'll take that message no problem. I recommend this book to readers of romance fiction everywhere and to those who just like a good, old fashioned love story.

RANCHER TO THE RESCUE by debut author Jennifer Faye is a July 2013 release by Harlequin Romance.

Meghan Finnegan gets dumped right when she is standing next to her groom at the altar. And the groom knew she was carrying his baby. So he in effect rejected her as well as their child.
Running out from the church, she meets Cash Sullivan, who is later accused of stealing the bride. He provides sanctuary to a pregnant Meg. And Meg realizes that she is attracted to him. But would Cash accept her with her baby? What would happen when he finds out that she is pregnant?

RANCHER TO THE RESCUE is an astounding romance from a debut author. It is a well-written tale that sparkles with emotion. Jennifer Faye introduced us to this alluring but tortured hot cowboy, whom we fell in love with and a strong heroine, who wouldn’t take less than her due. A must for all lovers of romance.

Highly recommended and well worth reading.

Rancher to the Rescue captured my attention right from page one. A pregnant bride on the run, a charming, unsuspecting cowboy and a story line that is pure romance. Cash and Meghan's chemistry is instant. Cash is the type of hero I adore-a man who would do anything to help the people he cares about. Meghan is a wonderful heroine, and despite the vulnerable position she is in, her strength shines through. The characters had depth, and they both had to overcome obstacles from their past in order to find their way to happily-ever-after.

This heartwarming, sensual romance is a definite must-read!! It will leave you with a happy, warm feeling inside. I cannot wait for Jennifer Faye's next book!

Lovely debut for an author who is sure to tug at the heart strings.
When a hard bitten recluse cowboy is faced with a runaway bride who is being hounded by the press, he acts in the only he knows how -- opening his home to her but he rapidly discovers that his heart is not as immune as he thought.
Really good fun to read on an indulgent evening.

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one, which has been opened for us." --Helen Keller

Rancher to the Rescue is a sweet, feel-good romance that will appeal to romance readers. The story is about second chances and finding happiness where you least expect.

Meghan Finnegan’s planned dreams of a happily-ever-after have fallen apart before they even have a chance to begin. Now, she faces an uncertain future as she struggles to find her own place in the world. When Meghan runs out of a guest-filled church, leaving behind a fiancé, a mother eager for the nuptials, and the ruthless paparazzi, she never expects her unwilling get- away driver will become the man of her dreams.

 photo weddingguests_zpsf8cd9f67.png

The recently retired rodeo circuit cowboy, Cash Sullivan, just happens to be in the wrong place at the right time when Meghan makes a beeline for his pickup truck. I found it ironic and amusing that the man with no belief in love and marriage turns out to be the one the woman in the poofy, lacy white dress turns to for help.

 photo havingsecondthoughts_zpsb6b5f809.jpg

Cash is sitting in his truck, waiting, while his grandmother attends Meghan and Harold’s wedding ceremony, and he isn't very sympathetic about Meghan’s predicament. When she demands his help to escape, he initially refuses to comply. Their first conversation isn’t what I expected:

“You didn’t kill anyone, did you?”
“Of course not,” she sighed. “Do you honestly think I’d be in this getup if I was going to murder someone?”
“I’m not into any Bonnie and Clyde scenario.”

With photographers prowling around, looking for Meghan, Cash drives away more to protect his reputation from further scandal than to save the pretty bride crouched down in the floorboard of his truck.

Cash is a “no-strings-attached” cowboy who immediately senses that Meghan is trouble. He wants to get her out of his life ASAP.

 photo lonesomecowboy_zps8a20ca6d.jpg

However, his grandmother throws a monkey wrench into his plans when she invites Meghan to stay at Cash’s ranch to recover from her ordeal. Besides her delicious cooking, Grandma seems to have a talent for matchmaking as well.

Cash tries to resist his attraction to the pretty red-head, and he wants to douse any interest she may have in him when he lets her know how cynical he is toward marriage:

“Marriage is for dreamers and suckers. Eventually people figure out there’s no happily-ever-after, but by then it’s usually too late.”

His past has shattered any illusions he had about love.

Meghan is devastated after Harold refuses to marry her even though she is pregnant with their child.

 photo runningdownroad_zpsf1377aac.jpg

As a local celebrity chef with her own TV show, Meghan doesn’t have the emotional strength to deal with the fallout over the cancelled wedding. She doesn’t want to face her mother’s disappointment or her show’s angry producers, especially now that she’s ruined the ideal life they’ve tried to create for her. Because her mother has always been cold and distant, Meghan has tried all of her life to please her, and marrying Harold seems to be one more way to gain her mother’s approval. Because of his prominent social status, Harold seems to be everything any woman would want. Even Meghan’s TV producers jump on the bandwagon and plan to tape the wedding to air on a future episode. They foresee a boost in the cooking show’s ratings and a possible nationally syndicated show when the hometown celebrity marries a man who’s made millions in the computer industry.

However, the image Howard projects to the rest of the world doesn’t match his true nature, and fortunately Meghan finally realizes this before she makes the biggest mistake of her life.

 photo distantcouple_zps8a82c5a6.png

Her disastrous relationship with Harold now makes Meghan question her judgment about men. Still she needs the privacy Cash’s out-of-the-way ranch offers, and, because Cash understands how dogged the media can be, they form a tenuous relationship that gradually deepens over the course of the story.

Both Cash and Megan carry emotional wounds that must be healed before either of them can open their hearts to love again. I found it easy to care about Meghan and Cash since I get both of their POVs, which reveal their fears and insecurities. Chapters alternate between the dual perspectives and the transition from one point-of-view to the next is smooth and clear. The book’s plot is primarily character driven as we witness the inner turmoil both Meghan and Cash experience as they struggle to push beyond their comfort zones to find the happiness they deserve.

 photo dothethingyourmostafraidof_zps910b6c19.gif

This is a clean romance filled with each character’s inner monologue revealing their thoughts and feelings about each other. While it was nice to have the inner monologue, there were places where it the thoughts were repetitious and a bit of an overkill. Although Meghan’s secrets and conflict are transparent to readers, Cash’s scandalous past is revealed in bits and pieces, which kept my interest, as I discovered why he thinks of himself as damaged goods. The story’s theme is a reinforcement of that old adage, when one door closes, another surely will open.

I received a copy of the book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Note: Since I reviewed an ARC, the quotes from the book may have been changed or omitted by the book’s publication.

A very sweet romance between two people who are vulnerable but do their best not to show it. Meg is at the altar to marry her fiance and the father of her baby when he tells her he doesn't want her or the baby. As a celebrity chef, the ceremony was being filmed, and as she fled she was followed by photographers. She managed to hide in Cash's truck and begged him to take her away. Having some experience with paparazzi he helps her out by taking her to his ranch to hide out. They are drawn to each other but both have issues that make it hard to contemplate a future with anyone else.

I really liked both Cash and Meg. Meg was a rising star in the tv cooking world and looking forward to her marriage and her future. Her pregnancy was a surprise but there was no way she was going to end the pregnancy. When her fiance waited until they were at the altar to break things off, she ran. She was thankful that Cash was willing to take her to his ranch while she tried to think what to do. She is certain that part of her troubles are because she let her fiance take charge of everything she is now determined to handle everything on her own. She makes a deal with Cash that she will cook and clean in exchange for staying there. As the days go on she discovers that she is attracted to Cash. She also sees a kind, caring man who is hiding some pain of his own. As her attraction grows into love, she starts dreaming of a possible future with him, until he tells her there is no way it can happen. She has continued to try to get her life and career back together on her own, refusing to let Cash help at all even though he has offered. She is hurt and furious when he goes behind her back to help, even though his intentions were the best.

Cash was a sweetheart of a guy. Even though he doesn't like weddings he took his grandma to her favorite tv cook's ceremony. This is why he was outside and witness to Meg's attempt at escape. Having been on the receiving end of paparazzi attention himself, he helped her get away. He also invited her to stay at his ranch though he had some trouble understanding why he felt such a need to help her. I loved his obvious care for his grandmother and how he wanted to make sure that Meg didn't hurt her feelings. As the days went on he found himself more and more attracted to Meg but trying to resist. Cash has ghosts from his past that make him sure that he is unfit to even think about having a relationship with Meg. Even when he tells her about his past he can't conceive of her being willing to tie herself to him. Even though she has said she doesn't want help finding a new job, he puts his own fears aside to work behind the scenes to help her. I loved the ending when he truly faces down those fears to claim her as his own.

I thought both characters were very well done. Each one had believable issues and dealt with them in ways that made sense. I also loved Cash's grandmother and the role she had in his life past and present. She also had no problem speaking her mind.

A sweet love story about a bride on the run from an almost wedding mistake, straight into the arms of a handsome rancher. Will Cash be able to convince celebrity chef Meg that his love is worth the chance?

Cash Sullivan, former rodeo champion, agrees to take his grandmother to a wedding but regrets his kindness when the bride-to-be runs, then decides to hide in his truck to escape reporters. Unwilling to let her fall victim to the paparazzi, Cash agrees to drive the bride away from her wedding mayhem.

Meghan "Meg" Finnegan, Jiffy Cook TV personality, runs from her celebrity style wedding and her family, embarrassed that her fiancé called their wedding quits when he found out she was pregnant with his child. Meg agreed to no children when they made plans to marry but this pregnancy wasn't planned and she had thought Harold would support her. She couldn't have been more wrong.

Pregnant and running from the press, Meg accepts Cash and his grandmother's offer to stay at their ranch. She really doesn't have any choice, having disappointed her mother; she can't imagine telling her that she's also pregnant with the child of the man who just refused to marry her. How could she have made so many mistakes?

Meg settles in at the Sullivan ranch, helping Cash's grandmother with the cooking and housekeeping. Gram guesses that Meg is pregnant right away but keeps her secret from Cash. Meg and Cash can't deny their attraction to one another but will their complicated pasts and the secrets neither of them feel open enough to share cause a rift between them that can never be breached?

RANCHER TO THE RESCUE is a cute love story between two individuals who deserve more than they've experienced in their pasts. Forced together by circumstance, Meg and Cash start out as good friends and slowly develop a mutual respect for one another. My favorite part of this book is Meg's escape from the paparazzi with Cash's help. The poor man was a goner as soon as Meg jumped into his truck. Those who love sweet love stories will take pleasure in this charming ranching escape.

I admit cowboys have never been my thing, they just haven't. But earlier this year I had the privilege of reading a great western and that one book changed my whole point of view about the good ole' southern gentlemen I was missing out on and I must confess, I have been hooked ever since.

Thankfully Rancher to the Rescue, while not a western per se, definitely has one hunky cowboy in it and he was pretty hard to resist. He met my expectations for what a southern man should be and then some.

This was a beautiful story. I loved how caring and real Cash was and felt. I loved his concern for his grandma and how he treated Meg with the utmost respect. I love that he wanted to be better than his past, better than the other men in his family. Really, I just loved everything about him.

Meg was pretty great and felt real as well. I loved how strong and determined she was and how even though she was going through a rough time in her life, she still came out fighting.

This didn't have all the angst some of these stories carry and I really appreciated that. I like that even though they had obstacles, nothing was too drawn out or over dramatic because lets face it, that gets old after awhile. It was refreshing to see a love story pure and simple, however imperfect at times it could be.

I found Rancher to the Rescue to be an absolutely delightful story that I thoroughly enjoyed. Meghan Finnegan runs into Cash Sullivan as she is fleeing from the Church on her wedding day after realizing that the marriage was just not meant to be. With a horde of reporters chasing after her, she begs Cash to get her out of there, which he reluctantly does. Against his better judgement and at the insistence of his grandmother, he agrees to let Meghan hideout at his ranch while she pulls herself together. Little did either of them realize that the few weeks they spend together would change their lives forever.

I loved Meghan and Cash. Cash is a cowboy, ex-rodeo, and I just love cowboys. Their story is one that will not only entertain you, but will warm your heart. The story line is sweet, fun, and romantic, and you can never go wrong when there is a hot cowboy involved. I have to mention Cash's grandma also, she was just priceless and I adored her character. Rancher to the Rescue is one of those perfect romances that will put a smile on your face and in your heart. I loved Jennifer Faye's writing and I will definitely be reading more from this author. If you love great contemporary romance, then Rancher to the Rescue is something you most definitely want to check out.

Posted on What I'm Reading

I was fortunate to get a chance to read Jennifer Faye's debut Rancher to the Rescue. Let tell you that this story is sweet and will leave you with a warm-fuzzy feeling in the end.

At the beginning of the story, we catch a glimpse of our run away bride, Meghan Finnegan. The natural thought would be to assume she got cold feet and decided to get away. Cash Sullivan believes the cold feet theory. However, he can't leave a damsel in distress, so he decides to help Meg make her great escape.

I enjoyed the story. I really thought it was sweet and innocent. Normally the Romance line of Harlequin tends to be sweet and innocent. I really liked Cash, but he had to face some inner demons. Those inner demons almost cause him to miss out on a future with Meg. Meg is really sweet and basically tries to please everyone, which causes her some trouble.

Overall, a sweet innocent book. So, if you are looking for a sweet read with a rancher and run away bride, you might enjoy Rancher to the Rescue.

Meghan Finnegan cannot believe the audacity of her fiancée, dumping her literally at the alter while she is carrying his child. Meghan makes a run for it, literally, disregarding the spectators and finds herself in the truck with former rodeo star Cash Sullivan. Meghan has no idea who he is, but she is indebted to him for his no questions asked demeanor and willing to help a person he doesn’t know.

Meghan Finnegan, celebrity chef, flees after being jilted at the alter.
Cash Sullivan, former rodeo champion offers Meghan a place to lie low at his ranch.
Fresh air, beauty ever where you looked, and Cash's smile, all make Meghan not want to leave her sanctuary. But she and her unborn baby can't stay here forever...can they?
The spontaneity of this book, keeps you wanting more even after the last words are read. 5 stars

(This review will be on my blog, The (Mis)Adventures of a Twenty-Something Year Old Girl, at the end of June).

Romances aren't usually my thing, but I like to get out of my comfort zone every now and again. I'm really glad I did though because Rancher to the Rescue by Jennifer Faye was such a sweet read.

Okay, I won't reiterate what the blurb says because it describes what the book is about perfectly (which is a rarity amongst books these days). Just now that with this book, what you see is what you get.

The title describes this book perfectly. It's about a rancher (Cash) saving a celebrity (Meghan). I couldn't think of a better title, so I think Ms. Faye did an excellent job coming up with the title Rancher to the Rescue.

The cover is alright. I've seen worse covers, but I've seen better ones as well. Personally, I would've liked to see more of a ranch scene behind the couple on the cover of the book especially since this takes place at a ranch.

The world building is fantastic. In fact, I don't think I can fault it. Every situation was explained excellently which left me with no questions whatsoever. Even when Meghan is running out on her wedding, I though the author did an excellent job of explaining how she avoided the paparazzi.

The pacing is a bit hit and miss throughout the book. Sometimes, I would devour whole chapters just to be bored with the next. This could just be a personal thing though since I'm not used to reading romance books, but to me, in some parts, it was just too slow. But don't let that put you off reading this book.

As with most romance stories, the plot is predictable, but I found it to be well written and very sweet. The plot questions were if Meghan and Cash escape the ever watchful eye of the paparazzi, would Cash ever get over his past, and would Cash still want Meghan even though she was pregnant with another man's baby. All those questions do get answered by the way.

I thought the characters were written fabulously. I found Meghan to be vulnerable at times, but she was such a brave girl with everything that was going on. I loved her maternal instinct when it came to her pregnancy as well as how she was very wary to trust after what Harold did to her. I loved Cash as well. I liked how at first, he didn't want to get involved with Meghan due to his past history. I enjoyed watching him open up to Meghan, and eventually, what lengths he went to in order to protect Meghan. My favorite character though was Cash's grandmother. I don't know how to describe her other then to say that she was very grandmotherly! I loved how sweet she was to Meghan and how she'd always volunteer Cash to do things (this had me chuckling). She wanted everyone to be happy. I just wish she didn't have to leave about a quarter through the story because I was really enjoying reading about her.

The dialogue never came across as forced. Yes, in some parts the pacing was slow, but this wasn't due to the dialogue. I enjoyed the dialogue the most whenever Cash's grandmother was around. She was just so sweet!!! One thing that did annoy me was the fact that over and over again, the book kept mentioning how Meghan wasn't a skinny woman. Yes, I got the point that she wasn't skinny the first few times I read it. However, it just seems to be pointed out a lot.

Overall, Rancher to the Rescue is a short and sweet story that would be excellent to read during the summer, on vacation or just any time really. Despite the pacing being a bit mixed up, I did enjoy this book.

I'd recommend this book to those aged 17+ who are looking for a something sweet in their lives.

I'd give Rancher to the Rescue by Jennifer Faye a 3.75 out of 5.

(I was given a free paperback copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest and fair review).

Rancher to the Rescue is my first Jennifer Faye novel and it certainly won't be my last. I really enjoyed this sweetly, innocent story of letting go of the past, embracing the present and anticipating the future.

Meghan Finnegan is a runaway bride. At the alter her "soon to be" husband whispers to her that he doesn't want to marry her. She runs from the church and goes into hiding. No one knows where she is and her ex-fiance' takes the opportunity to play the jilted lover. Never does he admit that Meghan is pregnant with his baby and because she refuses to get rid of the baby he doesn't want to marry her. To make matters worse, she is the chef of her own cooking show and has a public following, so the whole world is privy to her drama and humiliation.

Cash Sullivan just happens to be sitting outside of the church waiting on his grandma. He can think of a million places he would rather be, but his grandma insisted on attending the wedding. All of a sudden, a frantic bride, being chased by paparazzi, jumps into his truck issuing orders to drive. Knowing he wants no part of the press he does as she says. He takes Meghan to his ranch where she can hide out for a while, heal from the embarrassment and rejection and make plans for the future. The longer Meghan stays in his home the more she seems to belong there. Cash finds himself falling for Meghan and picturing a future that is not in the cards for him. He has a past of his own and refuses to let it touch Meghan. She would be better off without him clouding her life or so he thinks.

"Marriage is for dreamers and suckers. Eventually people figure out there's no happily-ever-after, but by then it's usually too late."

This was a subtle, sweet, feel good story. I highly advise this book to anyone who doesn't want in your face, gratuitous love.

Thank you to Jennifer Faye for the loan of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Meghan needs to get away to sort her life out and plan her future. With nowhere to go without the press hounding her she gets in the nearest open truck and pleads for the driver to take her away. All of a sudden Cash finds himself looking through the veil of a wedding dress to the woman who just up and sat in the cab of his truck and demanded that he drive away. Noticing something in her face that alerted him that this was not merely a case of cold feet before a wedding, Cash complies having no idea that this woman will forever change his views about love.

I enjoyed this story very much. Cash was a great characters to get to know. I loved that he was all alpha male cowboy, but with a painful past that gave made him vulnerable and insecure when it came to the matters of the heart. Then there was Meghan. Although she could be perceived as a damsel in distress, I didn't see her that way. She was a strong woman who lost her way for a while and just needed time to find herself again. Lucky for her, she found a man who helped her do that.

Jennifer Faye did an amazing job in her debut novel by bringing together two complex characters that complemented each other in every way. They had the chemistry, but most of all the author made sure to develop Cash and Meghan in a way that made them get to a place in their life that was necessary for them to move forward into a romance. Filled with emotional dialog, flirtatious banter and a humorous and endearing moments, Faye did an amazing job of bringing the romance up front to the page while still maintaining it real and believable to the reader.

Rancher to the Rescue is a sweet, emotional story of letting go of the past to risk a new beginning. I will be on the look out for other works from this author.

I received this title from the author in exchange of my honest opinion.

Meghan Finnegan, a celebrity chef, ran out of her own wedding into Cash's truck. She begs him to take off and not wanting his face to be plastered in front of the tabloids, yet again, Cash decides to help her against his better judgement.

Cash Sullivan (not related to the Sullivan's from Bella Andre's Sullivan Series), not wanting to go to the wedding anyway but he had promised to be his grandmother's escort, goes anyway. He is waiting outside when he sees the bride, running away from the church. She is sick to her stomach. Not caring about the groom for a little bit, he decides to help her anyway. He leaves her in the middle of nowhere to go back to get his grandmother, leaving his cell phone with her.

Meg calls her sister to let her know she's ok and can't believe that her ex-fiance blamed her for walking out when he knew that it was his fault. He waited until the day of the wedding, in the alter to tell her that he didn't want her or the baby she was carrying, wanting her to get an abortion. Megan wants the baby, even though the father is a jackass. Hoping that Cash does really go back for her, she has to figure out a plan.

After Cash picks up his grandmother, he goes back to pick up Meg and thanks to his grandmother, Meg accepts staying at the ranch for at least 2 weeks until she figures out what to do.

Spending so much time together, Meg and Cash get to know each other. Sparks start to fly but Meg doesn't know how he'll react to her pregnancy news. Will Cash open up about his past and let her into his heart? Will Meg be able to figure out what she wants with her life and move forward from all the bad press?

Jennifer Faye's book is great. We are able to read his and her poin-of-view and know what they are going through. I love the way the characters not only have flaws, but are able to grow. I can't wait to read more books from Jennifer Faye.

Rancher to the Rescue

By Jennifer Faye

Cash Sullivan does not believe in love for himself, or others really, and he knows that he is bad news for any decent female to get involved with.  But he is the only one on hand when Meghan Finnegan ran out of her wedding where her now ex-fiancée had just dumped her at the altar, and now reporters were hot on her heels.

Being a gentleman Cash helped her get away from the church and then went back for his grandmother.  Martha Sullivan is a big fan of the Jiffy Cook, Meghan TV’s personality.  And quiet willing to set up her son and Meghan.

Ms. Faye hit the mark with her first book.  Two lost souls with bad childhoods that left scares both felt unable to move past. With the help and support of the other both find it within themselves to allow themselves the love they deserve and move forward with their lives.

A wonderful, tenderly done love story that reads like a warm bowl of chili on a cold fall evening, Cash supports and encourages Meghan at every turn during her time at his ranch.  Meghan in turn tries very hard to get past the wall he has erected as child of an alcoholic father raised by an alcoholic grandfather.

This read is worth five stars and I eagerly await more by this new author. If you have not picked this book up yet, why not?  Cowboys, chefs, a nosy grandmother….  What else do you need?

This is a tried and true premise. Runaway bride and strong silent type to the rescue and it works! I thoroughly enjoyed Rancher to the Rescue. The main characters are loveable and you know what motivates both of them throughout. Their initial meeting will give you a chuckle until you see what a pig the groom left behind at the altar really was. Without even meeting him, he is a villain to despise! Gram is the main supporting character, but you see her influence in the man Cash is without her being in the majority of the book.

Cash Sullivan the ‘Rancher’ has good reason to hate the media. They have torn his life apart and he has holed up on his ranch to gain peace and quiet. I just wanted to hug him and not let go! Meghan Finnegan is a local television celebrity who due to some unexpected news finds her life turned upside down and torn apart. Her sweetness shines through her every action. I loved both of these main characters in Rancher to the Rescue! Once Cash lets Meghan into his life he discovers how much he wants her there. Living with Cash, Meghan learns what a real man is like and doesn’t want to give him up. But if it was that easy there wouldn’t be a story!

I started reading and ended up staying awake until I finished it, around 2am!

I just finished reading “Rancher to the Rescue” by Jennifer Faye, and what a fabulous way to enter the Harlequin world of books.
Right from the start she had me with Megan running away from her wedding. With Cash sitting in his truck watching this woman have a change of heart.
Jennifer’s story was filled with tenderness, emotions, and courage. Both characters had to overcome simple problems that only the other character seemed to be able to help the other with. Cash and Megan were drawn to each other right from the start; with his hatred of the media and being wronged twice by the people he cared about. And with Megan being thwarted by her ex-fiancé and trying to live up to her mother’s dreams for her. She had no choice but to do what was right for her and her unborn baby.
For a first time published book, Jennifer wrote it with humor and down to earth realities. Sometime we all need a nice quiet area to rest, collect our thoughts to regroup. And it doesn’t hurt to have a sexy cowboy tend to you.
When Cash said “Yes, ma’am.” I felt tingles all the way down to my toes and smiled largely.
What an excellent read! I highly recommend reading!! I will be sure to keep my eye out for her upcoming Novels.

Starting off I’m rating this book a 5. It was sweet, heartwarming, funny, and heartbreaking. Rancher to the Rescue is about two people who are strangers that get to know each other and take care of each other without ever passing judgement.

First off, we meet Megan Finnegan, the bride who is also a famous TV cook known as The Jiffy Cook. On the day of her wedding, she does not make it down the aisle. She makes a break for it right into Cash Sullivan's truck. Cash see's all this and thinks this is the most excitement he's had all day. But what is she doing? Is she going to steal his truck? He goes after her, sliding into his truck and asks what’s going on. Megan tells Cash to drive unless he wants to be photographed by all the cameras trying to get a glimpse of the hometown girl marrying a millionaire.

The story gets exciting. Cash is sweet and takes care of Meg. He leaves her only to go back to the church to pick up his grandma. Because of the press, Meg refuses to go back. Both Cash and Meg have there own issues that they’re running from. Rancher to the Rescue was sweet from the beginning all the way to the very touching ending.

This is my first Jennifer Faye book and won't be my last.

I absolutely love stories that involve a handsome rancher in them. Perhaps it is from growing up in the saddle and watching the movie, 8 Seconds, that has me swooning over men in cowboy hats. Rancher to the Rescue is a charming story of falling in love when you least expect it and in the most unconventional way. I loved Meghan from the beginning when you meet her as she is fleeing from the one man she thought she’d spend the rest of her life with. And when Cash came into her life, you instantly feel their chemistry no matter how hard they both try to find it. But no matter how hard they fight there, they can’t seem to resist one another.
The romantic in me loved this story and the characters. It’s a fun and quick read that’ll leave you falling for Cash just as much as Meghan does. Let us not forget Cash’s grandmother! What a character she was and I loved her for it. She knew from the start that these two were in for a journey and boy was she right. Just goes to show to always listen to your elders, especially your grandmother.

Rancher to the Rescue is a very sweet romance and I felt that Cash was a goner from the moment he saw Meghan but he fights it. He honestly thinks it is for the best. I liked how cash is tough but a big softy and takes care of Meghan. I also liked the unique backgrounds that Meghan and Cash have. Meghan is a Cook on a local TV station and Cash is a Rancher.

Though this story is a bit predictable I still really enjoyed watching Cash and Meghan work through the past that they don't want to deal with. I did feel the end was a bit rushed. I do wish she would have given an epilogue so I could see a bit more. But that is me just wanting more. Will the past hinder the intense attraction they feel for each other? I would recommend this story to anyone who enjoys a sweet romance! I will be watching for more from Jennifer Faye! I hope she write Ella's story! I hope you all enjoy this book as much as I did!

Just FYI~ This story does not contain any sex or swearing!

This was a sweet, warm, cuddly read for me. I enjoyed the characters, but the grandma was my favorite because she was just like a grandma should be. Meg's situation was one I think no woman would ever want to deal with....being a cook-even on small time TV- and having to deal with the judgement of everyone when they don't have all of the information about her situation. Hiding out would be something most of us would want to do until we had some answers and some sort of plan. Finding that you care for another when you are in such a situation and when the man you fall for is a cynic when it comes to love has to be crazy and confusing. Seeing Cash's part of the story and how he finds himself and his own happiness is sweet and even humorous at times.

For such a sweet cowboy story this was one quick read! I just adored it!

Meghan Finnegan is a small town celebrity because of her cooking show. The press is supposed to film her getting married only at the last minute her fiancé decides that he doesn’t want their child that she is carrying. So off she runs and runs into Cash Sullivan.

Cash is a former rodeo cowboy. Now he runs his own ranch and looks after his sweet grandma. It is because of his grandma that he is even at this wedding and is now helping this beautiful woman in a wedding dress…

This is the first book that author Jennifer Faye has written. I am pretty amazed by that because the writing is so excellent! She really knows how to build an intriguing plot with fascinating characters that you have no trouble connecting to. I look for to seeing what else Ms. Faye writes in the future.
