I am glad S is now past the phase of wanting to read books like this, but I'm sure I'll miss this stage someday. He read this a few times when he was 5 and resurrected them this year to read to F (2) a bit.
I was surprised when my daughter picked this book off the shelf at the library. It ended up being a cute action-adventure book. I liked the twist in the end about what was actually in the box that the villain was trying to steal.
I think my hubby would enjoy reading these books to her. She seemed to enjoy it and requested me to get more of these from the library.
We ordered a lot of these books from the series for our library's collection. I am slightly disappointed in them. I thought the illustrations would be made of real legos, not computer graphics. The story lines are just so so. I wish the illustrators had been more creative and thoughtful. The great thing about legos is your taking solid shapes and building structures with them. It is a form of architectural art that kids really love. However these are simple computer graphics and the story lines are simplistic and unimpressive.
It was kind of funny at the end. Actually, it was really funny. I recommend this book because it was teaching about a cop and some funny disguises that he used.
