When it comes to passion this hot, it’s all or nothing.

Olivia Townsend’s wealthy cousin Marissa had everything a girl could ask for—a great job, a privileged life, and all the friends she wanted. Or, at least, all the friends money could buy. But one case of mistaken identity has turned her privileged world upside down.

An abduction gone wrong lands her right in the lap of the sexiest, most dangerous man she’s ever met. To Marissa, he’s an enigma, but one to whom she’s irresistibly, inexplicably drawn.

With him comes a new world of freedom and passion, of dark shadows and dangerous secrets, a world where nothing is what it seems—except for the blind passion that Marissa can’t escape—or maybe even survive.

NOTE TO READER: DO NOT read this review if you haven’t read books one and two of The Bad Boys trilogy. There will be some major spoilers for the first two books. Okay... carry on :D

Don’t let the past dictate your future. Move on.

I wasn’t sure how much I would like this book... lets face it, Marissa was not a likable character in the first two books. Olivia’s older, spoiled, rich an downright mean cousin. Marissa has had something happen to her. Something big. And it’s really changed her. At first, I was worried this change wasn’t genuine, but rest assured, it was. Marissa knows she doesn’t deserve a second chance from Olivia, but she’s glad she is given one.
I don’t deserve a second chance. I don’t deserve anybody’s trust or confidence.

Then there is Nash Davenport. The ‘real’ Nash. The one thats been in hiding the last seven years after he witnessed his mothers death. While his brother Cash was left living a double life, Nash was off doing unspeakable things. Things he had to do for himself, for his family, for his survival. The things Nash has done, the things he’s seen, they have changed him. He’s not the same Nash he was.
I guess Nash really did die the day of the explosion. The guy he was and the guy he would’ve grown to be are dead. Both of them. Gone forever. The question is: Who am I? Who rose to take their place?

Marissa and Nash have this connection, this pull to one another. They both need something to take away the feeling of all they’ve been through, to numb it out. They can give that to each other. Nash is game, as long as it’s just sex. He is in no position to give anyone anything else.

Okay... so the first two books had body shots and Jack Daniels... this book, it had the BEER BOTTLE. You just have to read to understand ;) Nash and Marissa bring the heat. Damn...
“I’d be willing to bet all your parts are exceptional. In fact, now might be a good time to warn you that if we come back to this library, I’ll find out for myself. In this very spot. I’ll push you up against the books in the corner and I’ll put my hands on you. I’ll do things to you. In the quiet. And you won’t be able to make a sound. Not a whimper, not a moan. You’ll have to bite your lip to keep it all inside. And you know what? You’ll love every second of it.”

“I want you to beg me,” I hiss through gritted teeth. “Beg me to put my cock in you and come inside your wet body. Beg me or I’ll walk right out that door.”

Marissa has feelings for Nash. Sex isn’t the only thing she wants from him. Marissa is the first woman in seven years Nash has thought twice about. But he can’t go there. As much as he wants her, he knows he would be no good for her. They both need each other. But are either able to admit it? On top of all the relationship issues, Nash and Cash are closer than ever to getting justice for their father. You’ll have to read to see how this one pans out....

Everyone deserves a second chance. You’re no different.

I was pleasantly surprised with how much I grew to like Marissa in this book. She was sweet, genuine and personable. I just kept waiting and waiting for her to go back to her bitchy ways, but it never happened. It was nice to see. Nash was bitter. He held on to the resentment he carried for all those years most of the book. It took him much longer to let go and move one. Both of them need redemption. Healing. If they can heal and move on together, that is the real question.

It wouldn’t be a Bad Boys novel with out a little twist, a secret... and the one Nash is hiding from Marissa is something else! I really enjoy this series. The first book was fantastic and so original, the second and third were good as well. I’m not sure if I loved this quite as much as the first two, but it was still an enjoyable read. This series is full of twists, turns, action, suspense, secrets, sex and steam! It was great to catch up with Olivia and Cash, and I especially enjoyed the last 10% or so of the book and the epilogue.

~Some of my favorite quotes~
“I’m not taking a chance. I feel like I can’t breathe without you. I’m just doing what I need to do to survive. It’s as simple as that.”
“Then let me be your air,”

I want to get closer, close enough to feel the heat. The problem is, close enough to feel the heat usually means close enough to get burned.

“There comes a time in life when every man meets the woman who changes the game, who changes him. You’re the one.”

“The best part of my is you. The only part that matters is the one you have, the one you hold in the palm of your hand.”

WARNING ! IF YOU HAVE NOT READ DOWN TO YOU (BAD BOYS #1) AND UP TO ME (BAD BOYS #2), YOU MIGHT NOT WANT TO READ THIS REVIEW AS IT WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FROM THE FIRST TWO BOOKS!

I will admit that I was hesitant prior to starting this novel because I HATED Marissa in the first two books. She was rich, spoiled, snobby, and completely rude to Olivia, her own cousin! In the second book, Up to Me, the Russian Mafia mistakenly kidnapped Marissa instead of Olivia when they were trying to gain leverage against Cash. The kidnapping greatly affected Marissa as a person. Since being rescued, she is trying very hard to stop living the life her father expects of her and instead wants to make a life of her own. She is also trying to become a better person and make amends to those she has wronged in the past.

“I don’t deserve a second chance. I don’t deserve anybody’s trust or confidence. They’ve all seen what I was like. I’ve made an impression that I may well never be able to live down.”

One of the people involved in Marissa’s rescue was the real Nash (Cash’s twin brother). To give you a Reader’s Digest version of Nash’s history: Nash witnessed his mother’s murder when his family’s boat was blown up by the Russian Mafia. In order to protect Nash, his father told Nash to disappear and to basically live his life on the run. For seven years after his mother’s death, Nash worked on a boat involved with illegal activities that he was not proud to be a part of. Some very terrible things happened to him while he worked on this boat. Also during these seven years, Cash lived a double life by pretending to be both Nash and Cash so that his father would not be charged with Nash’s “murder”. As you can imagine, Nash was very bitter about the fact that he had to live his life on the run while Cash (pretending to be Nash) got to stay home, graduate from law school, and date lots of gorgeous women (including Marissa). I thought one of Marissa’s thoughts about Nash was very true:

”He’s a loner, stranded on an island of anger and bitterness. He needs rescuing. He just doesn’t know it yet.”

Since Nash rescued Marissa from her kidnappers, the two of them can’t seem to stay away from one another. Nash is up front with Marissa about the fact that he doesn’t do relationships, doesn’t get attached, and that he basically will use her for sex.

”You’ll probably get hurt.” I gulp. I know it’s true, but hearing the words, out loud, acknowledging them, is something else entirely. “I know,” I admit. “Then you can’t say I didn’t warn you.”

Despite of Nash’s warnings, Marissa decides to keep Nash in her life. There is just something about him that she is drawn to.

Everything for Us is a story about Nash and Marissa rescuing each other. Marissa helps Nash see that he doesn't have to live his life as a loner and that he can trust and depend on others. She also helps him feel emotions that he hasn't experienced since his mother died; like happiness and love instead of anger, bitterness, and hate. Nash, on the other hand, helps Marissa overcome her desire to live her life by her father’s standards and shows her that she doesn't have to care what others think of her.

The situation between the Russian mafia, Nash, Cash, and their father also comes to a conclusion in this book too. Will Nash/Cash be able to get their father out of prison and send the responsible parties to prison? Will Nash be able to take his life back and have a relationship with Marissa? Will Nash & Cash be able to keep their loved ones safe? All these questions are answered in this novel.

My Thoughts
Surprisingly, I ended up loving both Marissa and Nash’s characters. Marissa genuinely wanted to become a better person and I definitely felt like her intentions were genuine. I really appreciated the fact that her desire to become a better person was shown in an honest manner. She didn’t just change overnight and it wasn’t easy for her. She had to overcome a lot of insecurities and obstacles to become the person she wanted to be.

Nash, who was a complete asshole at times, has a special place in my heart. I could totally understand how he would be angry, bitter, and focused his entire life on getting revenge against the people who took not only his mother but seven years of his life as well. I definitely was hoping he would find happiness because after all the shit he has been through, he deserves some good in his life. Nash had a lot of attributes that I love in a book hero. He was HOT, an alpha male, possessive, and he is the type of guy to take what he wants =D There were quite a few times where I thought my panties were going to burst into flames!

"In fact, now might be a good time to warn you that if we come back to this library, I’ll find out for myself. In this very spot. I’ll push you up against the books in the corner and I’ll put my hands on you. I’ll do things to you. In the quiet. And you won’t be able to make a sound. Not a whimper, not a moan. You’ll have to bite your lip to keep it all inside."

Overall, this was a lovely conclusion to the Bad Boys series! Though I definitely missed Cash and Olivia, I really enjoyed reading about Nash and Marissa’s story.

rushes to read the second book to figure wtf is happening
September 13, 2013
This book picks up where Up To Me left off...basically with Marissa trying to get her life back on track. She went through a horrible experience but thankfully it wasn't as bad as it could've been. It was just enough for her to question who she is and...what she's doing. Is it enough for her to make some life changing choices?

I have to say that the last ten percent of the book is what saved it for me because as much as I wanted to forgive Marissa and believe that her intentions were pure, it's a hard thing to do. I mean, come on, it's hard to start pulling for the Wicked Witch and well, Marissa was pretty wicked.

And then we have Mr. "He Who Will Remain Unnamed"...well, IMO he is definitely NO Cash. I get the whole uber bad guy that needs a good woman thing...really, I do but "he" just wore on me. I got tired of his anger and his poor me attitude...it just went on and on.

description

But...like I said, the last ten percent....YES!! I loved every minute of that. Everything gelled and they were sooo good together! And it wasn't as if them "getting together" is what did it...it was HOW they did it. Perfecto! Too bad it took so long to get there.

I did love the little twist between the two of them especially the infamous beer bottle scene. How do writers come up with this stuff?

Some of the best parts were, yes, you guessed it, Cash and Olivia. I LOVE them. I loved what happened with them and well, just everything. My only complaint is that I wanted MORE but I know...it wasn't their book.

The big drama got wrapped up as well and a little too easily if you ask me. But I was happy that it was over and that things all worked out.

I have really enjoyed the series so far and while M. Leighton has said she's done with this for a while, there's possibly a short coming out around Christmas of Olivia and Cash and a possibility of a story later on about Gavin. I would love that!

2 - 2.5 Disappointing Stars

Warning: This is not a glowing review and my review may contain information that could spoil things. I did not intentionally try to spoil anything. It's just how I strongly felt about this book. I wish my rating and review would have gone a different way as I truly enjoy this author's stories. I'm not one to generally write negative reviews but I felt strongly about this one and therefore I'm writing this review.

I'm in the minority on this one when I say: I found this book to be lacking in a good story line and in a good Hero. I was sorely disappointed with the final book.

What I did like:
1. Dual POV
2. How the dad's crime case played out in the end.
3. The ending
4. Marissa's need to transform for the better.
5. HEA's
6. I liked the last 22% of the book the most.
7. I also liked Nash the last 22% of the book.

I knew Nash would be angry, bitter, hurt, looking for revenge and so on. I didn't expect him to be like Cash either. However, I didn't expect his character to be as harsh and unforgiving, as he was for most of the book, with his feelings, words and bedroom play. He didn't have any redeeming qualities for me until the last portion of the book.

In real life, the way he treats Marissa, wouldn't lead me to believe he was in love with her. Maybe I would be convinced she stirred up feelings from him and plenty of jealousy but never anything that felt like a true love connection for a good portion of the book.

I felt like our characters had an alien invasion and their identities were replaced with people I didn't recognize.

Cash- he was uncaring and unfeeling towards Marissa, the woman he dated. He felt a bit heartless, to me, towards her. Where's the compassion? He was found truly lacking. She just suffered an ordeal and he wasn't that nice sweet Cash we know he can be, even if she's not his favorite person. Even his apology towards the end just wasn't enough for me.

Olivia- since when did she become Mother of all feelings and need to save Marissa? She was over kill on her sympathy.

Marissa- yes she had a big transformation change but really, in a two days time? It wasn't believable to me. As her feelings so quick for Nash weren't believable either base off the way Nash treated her in the beginning and most of the book.

I felt the good story line I loved from book one just wasn't there. I felt like nothing truly took place for 60% of the book other than Nash fighting his feelings, the way he treats Marissa and making the reader aware that he never gets jealous over women, can get who he wants and he is always honest and never lies.

They were supposed to be digging for answers and working a court case. Why did it take so long to get to any real meat there? Why did we barely see Nash and Cash with their heads together plotting and working angles? Why did we barely see Gavin who could help? Why did we barely see a visit to the dad? Heck, why did we barely get Nash and Cash bonding time period?

Finally my last complaint would be something Nash does to Marissa in the past that I found disgusting and I'm shocked the author wrote about it and left it in the book for us to read. Maybe I'm the only one disgusted by this act of sexual content but I don't care. I didn't like it.

You wonder why I kept reading the book as I'm not glowing with my review? I wanted to give the book a fair shot and power my way through. Unfortunately, it just didn't work for me and left me disappointed as I had truly looked forward to it with high anticipation for Nash's story to be told.

I felt let down with each passing story since the first book. :(

Content: language, drinking and sexual situations.

BR with Jo and Sammy!

DO NOT read this review unless you've read Down to You AND Up to Me. This review WILL reveal spoilers from those books, so I strongly suggest you read those books BEFORE you read this review!

I will be perfectly honest, I hated Marissa in Down to You, she was a total bitch to Olivia and even though she seemed like she changed in Up to Me after being taken hostage by the Russian mafia, I wasn't completely sure that she had changed OR if she did that she was going to be able to stick with it and not return to the formerly bitchy, self-centered person she was in Down to You. I also didn't know how I'd like Nash in this book. He was a total jerk most of the time in Up to Me and after the epilogue in that book I was really wary going into this book. I thought Nash would be trouble throughout this whole book because he had so much resentment and bitterness towards Cash and everyone else because of having to abandon his life 7 years ago and work on a ship smuggling illegal things while Cash took over Nash's life (not knowing Nash was really alive until Up to Me) in addition to keeping up with his own life as well (Cash led a double life for 7 years) so their dad wouldn't get charged for the murder of Nash in addition to the murder of their mother when the Russian mafia was trying to send Cash and Nash's dad a message all those years ago. So I really didn't think I would like this book because I knew it was going to be Marissa and Nash's book and I couldn't stand them before.

I was completely shocked at how much I truly loved this book! Marissa is no longer the bitch she was and acknowledges that she was a total bitch to Olivia in the past and knows she has to prove to people that she can change- even if it means cutting people out of her life that she considered "friends" before, and after discovering her father's real motives for what she thought was to "groom her" to take over the law firm and she finds out that was not his intentions at all and discovers what he was really "grooming" her for, she decides she may not be pursuing the right career. She's spent her whole life trying to please her father, but after this new information comes forward- she's shocked and hurt and realizes she needs to start living her life the way she wants to. She is attracted to Nash from the beginning. She admits to the fact that when her and Cash were together (when she thought Cash was Nash), they were basically together for all the wrong reasons and that there really wasn't any spark between them. It's the complete opposite when she is around Nash. She cannot get him out of her mind!

Nash also surprised me in this book. He still harbored the resentment and bitterness over having to up and leave his life behind 7 years ago, and over time, even though he still wants justice for his mother's murder (since their father had been framed for it), after being around Marissa and with her influence on him, he starts to realize that there may be less violent ways of getting their revenge- ways that he didn't consider before. While him and Cash aren't exactly close in the beginning, they start to form a brotherly bond again over time which I was so happy to see.

I don't want to reveal too much about this book. It was fantastic and I really think that you should read it to find out everything that happens.

I will say that Nash is holding back a secret from Marissa though. It's a secret that he's kept for a couple years and Marissa has no recollection of it and he's hoping it stays that way because his intentions at that time were not the best and he doesn't want to jeopardize their relationship they have now.

We also know from Down to You and Up to Me that Cash (using Nash's identity) was trying to become a lawyer so that he could try to free his father from prison for being framed for his mother's murder.

The last thing I will say is that I was happy to see Olivia and Cash in this book a bit and we got to have a bit more closure to their story as well.

Will Nash and Marissa's relationship survive if Marissa finds out what Nash has been keeping from her? If she finds out what Nash is hiding, will she ever forgive him? Will they be together in the end? Will justice finally be served to the people who were responsible for the boat explosion that killed Cash and Nash's mother 7 years ago, or will their father remain in prison for that murder? Will Cash and Nash be able to put the past behind them and move forward with their lives or will they always have to watch their backs and worry about the threat the Russian mafia is to them and their loved ones. What big thing will happen for Cash and Olivia that will forever change their lives and add a bit more closure to their story as well? Those are all things you will have to read the this book to find out!

I'd highly recommend this entire series to everyone! It's one of my all time favorite series and I can never get enough of these books! M. Leighton has done a fantastic job on these books!

Some of my favorite quotes from Everything for Us:

Nash.
He's under my skin. I don't know why. And I don't know why I'm letting it go on. It's totally unlike me to let anything get beyond my control. And yet I'm jumping in headfirst with this....this....attraction, or whatever it is.

~~~~~~~~
I could take care of things my own way, Cash be damned. But despite the lingering resentment over him taking over my identity, I still care about him. He's my twin, for God's sake. And I know he was misled, that Dad didn't tell him I was alive. In his way, Dad was trying to protect us both. And I guess we both did the best we could in a bad situation.
~~~~~~~~

"Good God, you're like all the best parts of a woman without all the annoying parts."
Her laugh is light. "Um, o-kay. I guess I should thank you?"
"Oh, it was definitely a compliment. It makes me that much more anxious to uncover all your parts."
I step closer to her. She doesn't move away; she stands her ground, which is a huge turn-on for me. I like that she's willing, openly interested. I like that she doesn't try to pretend otherwise, like so many women do. It's boring and childish. And it's false. Most women want to be talked into it, eased into it, as if they're being coerced. It soothes their conscience, I guess. God forbid they take the situation by the balls and have fun with it. But I think Marissa will. She'll give in. And she'll like it. And I'd say she's woman enough that she won't make any excuses for wanting it.
"They're just parts, like any other woman's," she replies breathily, trying to be casual."
"I'd be willing to be your parts are exceptional. In fact, now might be a good time to warn you that if we come back to this library, I'll find out for myself. In this very spot. I'll push you up against the books in the corner and I'll put my hands on you. I'll do things to you. In the quiet. And you won't be able to make a sound. Not a whimper, not a moan. You'll have to bite your lip to keep it all inside. And you know what?" I ask, reaching up to trace my index finger along her full, trembling lower lip.
"What?" she whispers, her pupils two dilated dots of excitement.
"You'll love every second of it."
With a wicked grin, I take the books from her arms and turn to walk back the way I came.

~~~~~~~~
It's those damn eyes that get me. Vivid blue orbs that look both innocent and seductive all at the same time. And she's always watching me with them. Curiously. Intently. I can't help but wonder what she's thinking, what she's imagining. If she's remembering....
I know it's probably just my conscience playing tricks again. After what I've done. Surely she can't know. But still, I wonder.
~~~~~~~~

Why do I feel like I'm walking into an inferno? A moth drawn inexplicably to the brutal flame?
I have no illusions about him. I can't blame it on any lack of understanding. I know Nash is just that- brutal. But I can't stay away. Despite the danger, I don't even want to. It doesn't make any sense, and I'm not going to try to make it. I'm just gonna run with it. For once in my life, I'm jumping.
Closing my eyes against my troubling thoughts, I make my way back to Nash. Back out to the flame.

~~~~~~~~
My stomach jumps around anxiously. Part of it is the close proximity to Nash. But that's nothing new. If he's anywhere around, my focus is almost entirely centered on him.
~~~~~~~~

"Don't you trust me to satisfy you?"
"No, I don't."
He reaches forward to push my hair back over my shoulder, his fingertips grazing my neck. "Well, I can promise you I won't leave you anything but satisfied."

~~~~~~~~
"I think there are times in life when you need something to lose yourself in, something to take the pain away, take away the feeling of everything else. Something to numb it. Just for a while." As quietly as the beat of my heart, Nash articulates exactly what I've been thinking and feeling. And then he makes me an offer I can't refuse, one that I don't even want to refuse. He leans in closer, his lips brushing the shell of my ear as he speaks. "I can be that for you. We can be that for each other." Chills race down my arm.
Nash's hand moves into the hair at the nape of my neck. He cups the back of my head and angles his face until he can draw the lobe of my ear into his mouth. I feel the brush of his hot tongue and my eyes drift closed. "I can make you forget everything else. I can make sure that you fell nothing but pleasure, that you can't think past what I'm doing to your body, what I'm making you feel. With my hands," he says pulling his fingers from my hair and trailing them down my arm to my hip. "With my lips," he continues, moving his mouth across my cheek. "With my tongue," he whispers as he spreads wet heat across my bottom lip with he tip of the very tongue of which he speaks. "And I promise, you'll love every second of it." As if to punctuate his statement, he bites down ever so lightly, sinking his teeth into my flesh.
~~~~~~~~

Looking down into her face, I raise my hands to cup her cheeks and bend toward her.
I didn't intend for the kiss to be a chaste, standard good-bye kiss, but I didn't intend for it to be so....stimulating, either. It's like we're combustible, like we have one default setting between us- fire.

~~~~~~~~
"I've always thought it's only polite to make sure your best friends get laid on your birthday, too. Maybe it's a Southern thang and Olivia was raised the same way." ~Ginger (Olivia's friend) to Marissa
~~~~~~~~

"Of course I'm right. That's something you should get used to. There's no sense in arguing. Just ask Olivia. She'll tell you. I'm full of raging hormones and wisdom. And, on the weekends, vodka," she adds with a wink. ~Ginger to Marissa

~~~~~~~~
Ginger leans across the couch like she's going to tell me a secret. "I don't know if Olivia told you, but I give great advice about sex, so if you get hold of that hot piece of ass and don't quite know what to do with it, don't be afraid to call. I've always got some ideas." She nods like she's done her good deed for the day.
Ginger's public service message.
"If he gives me any trouble, I'll be sure to call."
"Girl, if he doesn't give you trouble, he's not half the man he looks to be. That one, the rough one, looks like he could tear a woman to shreds with just one look. I'd be highly disappointed if he didn't turn your panties inside out and your world upside down."
~~~~~~~~

"I've sailed all over the world trying to get away from you, trying to get away from what you make me feel. All I've found is that there's no ocean big enough to drown out thoughts of you, no place far enough to escape your pull. You find me. You always find me. When I was lost at sea, you found me. When I was lost in life, you found me. You found me and you saved me. And I know there's nowhere I can go that will make me happy as long as I'm sailing away from you. The best part of me is you. The only part that matters is the one you have, the one you hold in the palm of your hand."

~~~~~~~~
"Damn, I love you woman," he whispers into my neck. If I thought I'd been deliriously happy a few seconds ago, I was wrong. Never in my life have a few words made me feel so dramatically, wildly, indelibly changed. In this one short space in time, my life has gone from uncertain and unfulfilled to overflowing with hope and love and a peace I've never known. His next words mirror exactly what I feel all the way to the deepest part of my soul. "You make me feel whole."
"I was just thinking the same thing," I admit.
"You were?" he asks, a smile in his voice.
"That and one other thing."
"What's that?" he asks. When I don't respond, he straightens his head and looks down at me. "What's that?" he repeats.
I reach up and stroke his stubbly jawline with the tips of my fingers. "That I love you. That I love this stubble. And these lips," I say, moving my fingers over his full bottom lip. "And this face. And this hair," I say when I tuck a few loose strands behind his ear. "And you're right. You are perfect for me. Already. You're everything I didn't know I needed, but everything I always knew I wanted."
Reaching up to wind his fingers around my wrist, Nash turns his face into my palm. "I'll spend the rest of my life making you happy, proving to you that you made the right choice. I promise you won't regret taking a chance on me."
"I'm not taking a chance. I feel like I can't breathe without you. I'm just doing what I need to do to survive. It's as simple as that."
"Then let me be your air," he says quietly. This time, when his lips meet mine and he sweeps me up into his arms, I feel like he's carrying me away to our future, to happiness, to wholeness. And I'm thrilled to go along for the ride.
Major Spoilers if you haven’t read the first two books in this series.
The last installment of The Bad Boys series left me with mixed feelings. I LOVED the ending! Perfect for Olivia and Cash and for Melissa and Nash, however, I have varied thoughts on the rest of the novel.
Melissa and Nash are the main focus of Everything For Us, and to be honest I was a bit worried I’d have issues with Melissa because she was so horrible in book one. I barely recognized her in this story. Seriously, she felt like a completely different character. Melissa was sweet, regretful of her past actions, and very likable. Not sure if I really found her complete 180 believable, but I liked her nonetheless. Melissa feels an instant, intense and almost uncanny attraction to Nash after she’s rescued by him and Cash. He ends up staying with her for safety reasons, but she has no problem with that. They, unsurprisingly, end up physically involved with Nash giving her big warnings that he’s not into commitments. He makes it clear that he could care less one way or another she thinks about that. He only wants her for one thing. A prize, right?
This brings me to Nash. The story is told in his POV as well and he is not an easy character to like. He was angry and bitter for most of the story and I could see a reason behind some of that, I just couldn’t wrap my head around why he felt this way toward Cash. I didn’t get why he wouldn’t be happy and relieved to be reunited with his brother. Instead, he somehow blames Cash for the whole situation, and is mad that he impersonated him. He treats Melissa like crap as well, and after finding out what he did in the past, I liked him even less.
I did really enjoy parts of this series. The chemistry and the wickedly sexy banter between the characters made for delicious build up, and a fun read. There were some surprising twists and turns, and I love mystery. The ending was just lovely, and as I said, so perfect!
Yet, I have to say a few things didn’t sit well with me. Both Cash and Nash did things as each other that I did not agree with. They took advantage of the women in their life by lying and deceiving them. I didn’t like that some of these partners acted interchangeable at times, and that it was sort of just swept under the rug in one case. Also, the whole reason for Nash being in hiding didn’t make much sense when Cash was impersonating him, anyhow. No one thought he died in the accident, so why the charade? Why couldn’t the real Nash be himself all this time? Maybe I’m missing something here.
I am glad to have finished this series. I really wanted a happy ending for all the characters after everything they went through.
A copy was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!
COVER & BLURB for EVERYTHING FOR US (Bad Boys #3) by M. Leighton. Release day is September 3, 2013.
When it comes to passion this hot, it’s all or nothing.
Olivia Townsend’s wealthy cousin Marissa had everything a girl could ask for—a great job, a privileged life, and all the friends she wanted. Or, at least, all the friends money could buy. But one case of mistaken identity has turned her privileged world upside down.
An abduction gone wrong lands her right in the lap of the sexiest, most dangerous man she’s ever met. To Marissa, he’s an enigma, but one to whom she’s irresistibly, inexplicably drawn.
With him comes a new world of freedom and passion, of dark shadows and dangerous secrets, a world where nothing is what it seems—except for the blind passion that Marissa can’t escape—or maybe even survive.
TEASER from EVERYTHING FOR US
“They’re just parts, like any other woman’s,” she replies breathlessly, trying to be casual.
“I’d be willing to bet your parts are exceptional. In fact, now might be a good time to warn you that if we come back to this library, I’ll find out for myself. In this very spot. I’ll push you up against the books in the corner and I’ll put my hands on you. I’ll do things to you. In the quiet. And you won’t be able to make a sound. Not a whimper, not a moan. You’ll have to bite your lip to keep it all inside. And you know what?” I ask, reaching up to trace my index finger along her full, trembling lower lip.
“What?” she whispers, her pupils two dilated dots of excitement.
“You’ll love every second of it.”
With a wicked grin, I take the books from her arms and turn to walk back the way I came.
Ummmmmm... seriously what the eff happened with this book???
Beyond that hot Beer Scene... the whole book missed something. For me it was just too much angst and not enough of something... action perhaps.
Considering that Nash was/is a rough around the edges brother I expected hotness not asshole. I love me an asshole in a story but he was just pure asshole and I had a hard time liking him.
Overall it's a good book and a somewhat good resolution to a GREAT first 2 books of this series.
I loved the first two books but in all honestly, I struggled with this one.
It just never grabbed my attention. I found myself skimming over it. It seemed like most of the book was just describing Marissa's feelings/thoughts, but not a lot really happens.
I didn't feel like Nash and Marissa really had a lot of chemistry either. This could have been because of the way Nash treated her. He was far from gentle. He never had a lot of positive things to say to her. He basically walked away every time they were together. I know he was angry, but I just didn't feel the connection.
I still really like this author and will always love Cash and Olivia's story but this one was definitely my least favorite of the series.
Este libro de los tres,es el que me ha gustado muchisimo más...Me quedo sin dudas con Nash y su historia...me ha llegado más que la del hermano,pero no quiere decir que Cash no me guste! Marissa ha cambiado mucho y eso también me ha molado del libro y el final ha sido precioso.Una trilogía fácil de leer y entretenida y con más de una sorpresa
If you haven’t read the first two books GO NO FURTHER!
Marissa
Nash
Beauty and the Beast; or more aptly, the spoiled rich bit#h and the man whose life was stolen…
This book is one huge wake up call for Marissa, and it was refreshing to see her in a “human light”. I’d like to say the kidnapping really helped put her life in perspective. But where she is finding her feet and testing the waters in one area, she is drowning in the other. The poor girl just can’t get a firm life raft. And Just when she seems to be getting her way with the very bad boy that is Nash Davenport a skeleton comes flying out of the closet to hit her upside the head.
So this one is for you Nash
Nash, man he puts the "bad boy" in Cash to shame! And I ate it up!! TEAM NASH I am so proud to say.
Plain and simple, Nash is pissed. He wants his life back and who can blame him, he got the sh!t end of the stick and had to watch as his brother got everything that should have gone to him so naturally, revenge is the name of the game... and revenge he does get.
There is a HEA, and also the beginning of another story which I am excited about.
Good book!
Mejor que los dos libros anteriores, sin embargo la trama de la mafia y el juicio, quedó tratado de manera muy superficial, que perdió todo impulso que podría haber tenido este libro.
Ya no seguiré con la serie, la sinopsis de los siguientes no tiene nada que atraiga.
5 Stars.
I don’t even know where to start. The emotion that flows through Everything For Us, is so strong I literally feel wrung out and exhausted now it’s finished. I am happy too, deliriously so, because for me this book highlights just how freaking talented Michelle Leighton is. My massive author crush for Michelle is in part due to the Bad Boys series, I discovered her through Down To You, I fell in love with the Davenport brothers, and as they say the rest is history.
Everything For Us brings the Bad Boys series to its finale (although, part of me hopes that at some point in the future Michelle will return to this wonderful group of characters), and it focuses on Nash Davenport and Marissa Townsend. It takes up right where Up To Me left off, so I highly recommend you read the book before venturing in to EFU.
My heart broke so many times for Nash in this book. I post spoiler free reviews so I will not give away any specifics of the story, but I am going to assume if you are reading this you have read the rest of the series, so you know the back story.
This is a guy who has been dealt a really shitty hand in life, having had to spend the last 7 years in hiding after witnessing the explosion that ripped his family from him. He has had to live in the shadows, with the dregs of humanity, and because of it believes he has lost the capability to feel anything for anyone.
I found myself sniffling into a tissue so many times whilst reading EFU, as the reader is wholly drawn into the constant internal battle Nash wages with himself about pretty much everything, this is a man out of his comfort zone and who is struggling to try and fit back into normal civilisation. His coldness and harsh demeanour, reveal in his thoughts a man that is actually lonely and emotionally vulnerable. Reading his internal monologue as he tries to justify his reactions to situations, whether it be with regards to his connection to Marissa or his relationship with his brother, made me literally want to just give him a hug, and tell him everything would be ok, although he is HOT, my maternal instincts really kicked in at points.
Nash - “you should probably stay away from me.”
Marissa – “I know,”
Nash – “I’m trouble.”
Marissa – “I know,”
Nash – “you’ll probably get hurt.”
Marissa – “I know,”
Nash – “Then you can’t say I didn’t warn you.”
Marissa – “I know.”
Marissa as you know from the previous books is a spoilt, rich, and to quote Ginger a “bitch-on-two-sticks”! After the events of Up To Me, she is forced to re-evaluate her life, goals, and the person she has turned out to be.
This is where the alternate POV really comes into play; as the book progresses you actually see that Nash and Marissa aren’t really that different. They have both unfairly judged and drawn conclusions about people in the past, as well as being subjected to others doing the same to them. Their previous treatment of their peers at best can be called rude, at worst downright nasty. Marissa is trying to make herself into a better person, and I really enjoyed getting into her head so to speak. It really highlighted that she knew just what sort of person she was, she realises just how badly she has behaved in the past, and I admired her determination not to be that woman anymore, by trying to make right as many of her wrongs as she can.
Whereas Nash tries to justify to himself, that his behaviour is a direct result of the life he has been forced to lead. It becomes apparent as the book progresses that the fear of rejection and overall acceptance from his brother and Marissa are big factors too.
Nash - “I realised something tonight.”
Marissa – “What’s that?”
Nash – “I realised that no matter how tightly I closed my eyes, no matter how much I wanted her to be……” “She just wasn’t you.”
The sex in this book is imaginative, well written and off the charts hot. Nash has a dirty, dirty mouth and I absolutely loved it. This is a man who isn’t afraid to say what he wants (in beautifully graphic detail), take what he wants, wherever he wants. Whether it be biting a peachy ass because he feels like it, or using a beer bottle in the most imaginative of ways (fanning oneself, at that memory)!!! He opens Marissa’s eyes to what sex should be like between a couple, and Michelle’s imagination in this area is just pure gold, she always makes each time fresh, explosive and deliciously naughty!
Odd to say I know, but I actually felt pride for Nash and Marissa at the end of Everything For Us, watching them grow, learn from their pasts and become better people because of it completed the circle for me, again it’s the maternal instinct in me kicking in. Although, very anti-maternally, I definitely wouldn’t kick Nash outta bed for eating biscuits 
What more can I say, READ THIS BOOK.If I could give it 6 stars I would. If I could get a job a Dual, and share a little in the lives of the Davenports and their family and friends I would be a happy, happy gal.
One other thing I will add is that I would love to see more of Gavin and Ginger in the future, I think they both have stories that beg to be told, and I hope that Michelle at some point has the time to give it to us!
If you haven't read book one and book 2 in this series be warned this review has spoilers for book three.
"There comes a time in life when every man meets the woman who changes the game, who changes him. You're the one."
I seriously don't want to review this book.
I will start by saying I didn't hate it and I'm not bashing it,....I just couldn't get into it for a while. *sigh* This was one of those books that I was desperately waiting on. Maybe I put too much hype on it. I don't know.
For me, and of course this is only my opinion which doesn't count for a lot but, it just couldn't hold a candle to the first two. I mean in the first book we get the big reveal
SPOILER ALERT
that Nash/Cash are the same guy. After that book, I was obsessed with this series. Then book two, ruh roo, Nash is indeed alive. He's gruff, grumpy, angry, and straight to the point. So I thought, damn his book is going to be amazing. Of course both books had been soo full of twist and turns that I just couldn't wait.
But it just didn't compare. For me, the first half of the book just didn't hold my attention. I kept finding myself venturing back over to play on GR or FB. :( The second half was better, but I felt the ending was anti-climatic and I missed all of those shocking moments that made me love the series to begin with. I think I felt like we were in the characters heads more than anything.
With all of that being said, can I talk about that beer that Nash and Marissa "enjoyed" so much on that balcony??
"Best beer I've ever had."
HOLY FREAKING SHIT, that was hot hot hot!!!! Like, I told my GR BFF VIKA, I was going to write my whole bloody review about that scene ONLY!!!! And of course the ending, well, was perfect. I honestly kept wishing for Cash's POV, even if it was only for one chapter. I just missed him so much.
#TEAMCASHFOREVER
btw, this is the final book of this series, right?!?! I assumed it, just double checking.
So as much as I love Cash, if I had to pick only one twin to keep it would be Nash! I think Nash really is the 2 of them all rolled into one perfect man! Nash just does it for me! ;) He is brilliantly smart, protective, & caring, but he is also this huge, sexy, brooding, rugged, beautiful man! I can just picture the long hair, scruffy face & those tats. :) He is Cash with an edge to him. Yummy!!! I thought he was so cute how he tried not to cuss in front of Marissa. I really thought this story was wrapped up perfectly & I loved that Nash got his happy ending!
-That one, the rough one, looks like he could tear a woman to shreds with just one look. I'd be highly disappointed if he didn't turn your panties inside out and your world upside down."
-I don't know what has gotten into me. I've never reacted to a man this way. Not even close. And I dated his brother, for God's sake! But it was nothing like this. This is something more, something...different.
-I always thought Cash (when I thought he was Nash) was good looking, but he doesn't hold a candle to the real Nash. He's breathtaking. I don't think I've ever seen a sexier man.
-My heart and my soul and my body thrill at his touch.
-It's like we're combustible, like we have one default setting between us-fire.
-The men eye me like I'm competition; the women eye me like I'm dessert.
-I pull her in tighter against my chest. It's like she was made to fit there. Perfectly. In my arms.
4.5 hot Nash Stars :)))
Note to the reader… there is no way I could write this review without divulging spoilers from Down to You and Up to Me. The storyline flows from one book to the next. If you have not read the first book of the Bad Boys series, stay far away from this review. This is a spoiler free review for Everything For Us.
Everything For Us is the Bad Boys series finale. *sniffles* The story picks up exactly where we left off in Up to Me. Marissa Townsend was kidnapped due to a bad case of mistaken identity. She’s been shaken to the core with fear and now her life will never be the same. In the aftermath of her kidnapping, she begins to regret the way she treated people and took advantage of her privileged lifestyle. Marissa doesn’t like THAT person and wants to atone for her mistakes and change her ways. But change doesn’t come easy when people don’t trust you. She must prove to herself and the people she’s hurt that she can change. And, to add more confusion to her life, she has fallen for the man who rescued her from her kidnappers. The undeniable pull she has towards the dark and sexy Nash Davenport is hard to resist. He is everything her old life would snub, but everything she wants now. But can she let her old life go where appearance means everything and start over?
Nash Davenport oozes sex and danger. He is the epitome of bad boys. For years, he’s lived a lonely life as a criminal on the sea, dealing in illegal activities. Everyone thought he was dead until he showed up suddenly in the last book. Now he’s back and ready to exact vengeance against the men who killed his mother and destroyed his life. Nash has some serious issues to work through. He’s full of rage and refuses to let anyone get close to him. He doesn’t do relationships with women. He screws them and leaves them. But he can’t seem to leave Marissa. She consumes him and makes him feel. And, no matter how hard he tries to push her away, he just… can’t. But Nash struggles with his dark demons and has a secret that keeps him from having the woman he loves.
As the passion and heat between Nash and Marissa escalates, so does the anticipation for the Davenport boys to try and figure out how to take down the men who killed their mother and framed their father. Cash and Nash must find a way to work together, which means mending the rift between them, so they can finally get their redemption.
First of all, this book is steaaaammmmmy and the passion is intense. M. Leighton does an amazing job with the combustible sexual chemistry between Nash and Marissa. I love seeing two unlikely characters fall hard for one another. And let me tell you… Nash is one deliciously hot and dominant freak in the bedroom. His demands made ME want to rip my own clothes off…
“I could make you feel nothing but pleasure, that you can’t think past what I’m doing to your body, what I’m making you feel. With my hands,” he continues, moving his mouth across my cheek. “With my tongue,” he whispers as he spreads wet heat across my bottom lip with the tip of the very tongue of which he speaks. “And I promise, you’ll love every second of it.” As if to punctuate his statement, he bites down ever so lightly, sinking his teeth into my flesh.
...WOW… there goes my panties.
I will admit to not being sure if Marissa could win me over since she acted like such a bitch in the first two books of the series. But Marissa proved me wrong by turning out to be a cool chick with a really big heart. Nash deeply affected me with the deep pain and anger he carries on his shoulders. The poor guy sacrificed his life for his father and needs justice. I wanted to hug him and then lick his abs and tattoo to make him feel better. What? I’m human. *winks*
Even though I really liked this book, there are a couple of obvious flaws that stuck out to me. First, Nash’s secret felt unbelievable. There are a lot of holes in the likelihood this could actually happen without someone finding out the truth sooner. Sorry, but I wasn’t buying it. Secondly, I also felt like the ending was rushed and resolved too easy. I admit, I wanted to see Nash in action and whip out his bad-assery at some point.
Everything For Us is a great ending to the smoking hot Bad Boys series. You will get plenty of tingly sexual tension and lots of steamy sexy times. It has mystery and drama. And complicated characters. I love Michelle Leighton’s sexy and romantic writing style. She doesn’t go overboard with the angst and it’s tons of FUN to read her stories. She excels at writing alpha males that will melt your panties. The dangerous and sexy Davenport bad boys own the pages and own me too! I can’t wait to see what Michelle Leighton comes up with next.
**BR With Sara & Sammy**
Let me start by saying if you have not read the first two books in the series, Down To You & Up To Me, I would do so before you read this one.
Nash is sexy, mysterious, moody and seems to be broken. After having been in hiding for the past 7 years, he is out for revenge. He is full of guilt and anger over having been sent into hiding and his twin brother Cash leading a double life as both himself and Nash. Nash thinks that Cash has had it easy and after what he has been through,and he doesn't trust anyone including Cash.
Nash has met Marissa who is Olivia's cousin. In the past Marissa has been a complete bitch. Since the kidnapping, she is trying to be a better person. She goes through some major changes. She learns who her true friends and family really are. She learns that she was only a pawn for her fathers business and didn't really care about her or her feelings.
Marissa is completely taken with Nash. Nash is attracted to Marissa and thinks that he could be with her, but not have to worry about developing any type of feelings or long term relationship with her. He doesn't feel like he deserves for anyone to love him and would not be worthy of anyone. When the two of them are together, there is a few really hot scenes.
Throughout the book, you will learn of the life that Nash had to lead while on the run over the past 7 years. He has been through hell and back. It's no wonder that he is bitter, resentful, hateful and trusts no one.
Nash and Cash eventually work together for the same goal. To redeem their father and to get him out of prison for the crime that he did not commit. Marissa also plays a big part in helping to try and achieve the goal of putting the proper people in prison and freeing the innocent.
Cash and Olivia make appearances in the book even though they are not the main characters in the story, but they remain as hot as ever. Olivia is still the sweet forgiving person she always has been and teaches Marissa that she is worthy of love and that people care and that she has become a changed and better person.
Will relationships develop? Will relationships last? There were so many unanswered questions. Will they ultimately be answered? Will people ultimately be forgiven? Will walls that have been built be able to come down?
I would strongly recommend this book. Once again, I have not been disappointed by M. Leighton. Her writing is phenomenal!
Some of my favorite quotes:
“I’m not taking a chance. I feel like I can’t breathe without you. I’m just doing what I need to do to survive. It’s as simple as that.”
“Then let me be your air,” he says quietly.
***************
“I think there are times in life when you need something to lose yourself in, something to take away the pain, take away the feeling of everything else. Something to numb it. Just for a while." - Nash
***************
“It took me a couple of months to realize I was in love with her. Well, probably not to realize it. More like to admit it. And when I did, I knew that was why I had chosen to stay away from her. I love her enough to want her to be happy and safe and successful, and all that other shit. I want her to have everything she wants in life." - Nash
***************
“She’s starting to feel more and more like
an anchor, like a North Star. Like my North Star.”
3 1/2 stars!
I loved the first two books in the Bad Boy series..but when I found out it was about Nash and Marissa.. I was a little bummed..I am not a fan of Marissa.. the first two books all we read about is what an awful bitch she is..now I'm supposed to like her..not only like her but feel bad for her, root for her?!
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
I get that she had a life changing experience and realized what a bitch she was and now what a fresh start.. but once I dislike some fictional or not.. It's pretty much a done deal..I won't ever like them.. so that's on me..
I liked Nash..but I didn't like how flippy he was when it came to their relationship.. he wants her, but he "can't" want her..then he just takes of on a boat, for a year..comes back, has "goodbye sex" with her, gets up and leaves, comes back five minutes later and confessed he's "oh, so deep love for her"
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
And can I just say, the balcony scene with the beer bottle..eww.. seriously..
I really like Gavin..I wish we got to see more of him in this book.. other than that it was an okay read.. I didn't hate it, but not a favorite.
Me ha gustado bastante, la única pega que le pongo es el cambio tan brusco que sufre Marissa, es poco creíble. Entiendo porque Nash se resiste de esa manera, ha pasado muchos años de su vida sólo.
Espero que la editorial también edite el 3.5 de esta saga y que una vez que el cuarto libro de la saga este publicado en ingles, no tarde mucho en traducirlo. Cruzo los dedos para que los protagonistas sean Ginger y Gavin.
I love me some of these twins. They are both sexy hunk of men. There were times when I wanted to strangle Nash towards the end. This book was 5 stars until Nash started delaying that he was meant to be with Marissa. I never thought Nash could be hotter than Cash but oh boy. This book is very hot and steamy. This series is a must read if you look alpha men.
I don't think I really have to say how much I freakin LOOOOOOVED this book...
OMG... AH-MAZ-ING!!!!
FULL REVIEW:
Oh wow!! OHHHHH WOW!!!!
I think it is no secret that when it comes to M. Leighton, that I completely melt in to her books. She is absolutely one of my ALL TIME favorite authors. Everything that she writes blows me away and leaves me craving for so much more. Literally...I can't tell you how many times I wipe drool from my mouth because I am salivating...waiting for that next book to release...
So now I am able to get my fix...Book 3 of the Bad Boys series, Everything for Us, is out and since I was able to get an ARC, I took my time reading and savoring every single page that was in front of me. Feeling that calm wash over me as those jitters ease from my withdrawals while waiting on one of M. Leighton's books.
And thank goodness I was able to relish Everything for Us, because it does not disappoint. As we enter back in to the world of Bad Boys series, we are still wrapped up in the story that captured us all from the beginning. The only difference is that instead of us following Cash and Olivia, we are now immersed in the life of Marissa. I have to say that when I knew it was about her, I was skeptical on whether I would enjoy reading from her POV. After meeting her in Down to You, she is somewhat of a nasty character, you know, one you could really care less about. But, this just shows how fabulous M. Leighton is. She took someone like Marissa and completely transformed her in my eyes. She grows so much throughout this book and to say the least, I was so proud of her. The woman she became...the strength she exuded by the end of the book was staggering. You connect with her on so many levels and with all that happened to her you find yourself beaming with who she is by the end...
Ok...so I know that Marissa is not who you really want to hear about...I mean...we are talking about M. Leighton here....HOT GUYS are a specialty in her books...and Everything for Us is no different.
With dualing POVs between Marissa and NASH...we really get to see sooooo much of this guy. I loooooved it!!!!
Being in Nash's head was so different. I mean, with Down to You and Up to Me, we really get to know Cash. Now, here we are and getting to know Nash, who's life has been hard, leaving him bitter and almost emotionless. The only thing he has held on to all these years is his anger. It fueled everything for him. But the more time he spent in Atlanta and with a special lady, Marissa, the more he became unraveled. Seeing him crack and learn to face his demons gave me a renewed respect for him.
It wasn't an easy road for him and Marissa. The chemistry between these two was EXPLOSIVE, ELECTRIC, FIERY!!! I mean....WHEW....when these two ended up together...HAWT!!!! There is one scene that keeps rolling through my head that....OMG...I am sweating thinking about it right now...*fans self*
But, just because they were amazing in that department...their relationship was non-existent. No matter how honest or open they were, there was still so much hidden and this ultimately left them with so many questions unanswered.
Do they make it together? Do they allow their walls to come down?
Well, I will tell you this...
Everything for Us gives you, the reader, everything you need in a FANTASTIC book. Dynamic characters within a stimulating story-line providing you with a passionate, suspenseful tale, captivating you from start to finish.
Definitely one of my favorite reads of the year so far!!!
GO READ IT!!!
I hate writing negative reviews but I can't help myself this time. I wanted so much to enjoy this book. Getting Nash's backstory was so appealing after getting a taste of his life in Up To Me but unfortunately I spent 80% of this book hating him. Bottom line he was an asshat. (I had a better word I wanted to use to describe him but decided against it.) I realize he was broken man who was thrown into an awful life but enough already. He was so full of anger that it became exhausting. Once it was revealed what he did to Marissa years earlier I was over him. Nothing about that encounter was 'hot' or 'sexy' or 'mysteriously erotic' in my opinion. For people who've read the book, you will know specifically what part I'm talking about. (I pride myself on being very opened minded and very little shocks me but there's only one word that describes it: Gross. By the time he manned up and expressed his true feelings for Marissa I didn't care any more.
Marissa was the ONLY reason I wanted to finish this book. She was such an awful person in the prior books that I wanted to see if she was redeemable. I loved the way she evolved into such a sweet and caring person. She owned up to her bad behavior, took charge of her life and chose to create a life she wanted, even if it was with a broken heart. Olivia and Marissa's relationship has come a long way and I really liked that they were able to get past everything and form a tight bond. Ginger was a nice little addition and it would have been fun to have more interaction between her and Marissa.
Cash and Nash spent very little time together getting to know each other again and that was disappointing. So much of this book was just Nash either throwing around his bad attitude or being all bossy alpha man who was determined to just get Marissa in the sack.
Rant Over!
I'm struggling to rate this book. I love the first & second book. Maybe it's just my expectation was to high for the final installment of series. I don't felt the chemistry of Nash & Marissa. I did try to enjoy the book but it fell flat for me. Enough said, overall i bit like it.
