Plants vs. The Official Guide to Protecting Your Brains is a must for kids who love the video game Plants vs. Zombies . There are more than twenty-five types of zombies in the fantastical world of Plants vs. Zombies , and each has a special talent—from pole-vaulting to digging to teaming up with a zombie dolphin. Fortunately, a gamer armed with The Official Guide to Protecting Your Brains has all the tricks, knowledge, and strategy needed to plant a garden—perhaps with a few Fume-shrooms, Cherry Bombs, and Potato Mines—that will defeat each member of the fun-loving, brain-eating mob. The zombies won't have a chance!
if you are reading this book, you should see the gardener of the universe, name d crazy Dave! he tells you what plants can do. well though, some of his writing, is very silly. and he tells you what zombies can do one zombie called the balloon zombie has been tighted by a balloon! but it says, that the balloon zombie is in the balloon not if you have a cactus or a cattail because they can pop balloons all the other plants can not pop balloons ! except of the lawn mower! Well the lawnmower isn't really a plant but yeah.

While this book doesn't look like much, it is fantastic and the best video game guide book I have ever read.
This book is one of two of the only video game guides I've read set within the world of the game (the other one being Minecraft: The Surviors' Book of Secrets, which is also really good).
The majority of the book is a guide of how to survive zombie attacks written by the government of whatever country the game is set in. Around the middle of the book, Crazy Dave puts his own book focusing on plants into the guide.
So how good is it at "guiding" you in the actual "Plants vs. Zombies" game? Honestly, not very well compared to other game guides. But it really doesn't need to. "Plants vs. Zombies" is pretty intuitive, and all the stuff that you need to know are in tool tips and the Almanac in-game. You read this book for more Plants vs. Zombies stories and for a parody of government-written nuclear warfare preparedness guides.
In summary, even if you don't play the game, read the book. Please.
Crazy Dave has scribbled all over this book, sometimes helpful, and sometimes be is too random to make sense. Not that making sense is that important in a zombie apocalypse.

I've read MILLIONS of Plants vs. Zombies books. I even have the game Plants vs. Zombies GW2! This guide is the best guide to protecting your home, family, and most importantly, your brains. Other than that, this guide tells you what to do when there is a zombie apocalypse, such as choosing Z.I.T.S (Zombie Incident Total safety) and making sure you are safe. But, please don't get mad when you see zombie notes AND some scribbled words. I highly recommend this book to those who love Plants versus Zombies and love fighting zombies!
Ok, I don't care about this game or any game, for that matter. I picked this up second hand for my son when he complained he didn't have any new books to read. I knew he played this game, and even if it wasn't his favorite, he likes zombies, so... I was expecting nothing from this, but it's actually pretty cute. It is a guide to the game but written as a survival guide, and it is actually funny. It is totally suitable for a 6-year-old, so if you have a kid who loves video games, and you're looking for something that isn't a mind-numbing Minecraft book, grab a copy of this.
This is my favorite childhood book, my copy is well worn from reading it so many times over the years! Based on one of my favorite childhood games, and actually full of correct info about it too (all too often a rarity in game books.) It's silly and hilarious and just such a fun read, I love this damn thing :3 This silly old book is so important to me and it's something I'll cherish the rest of my life. Cheers to everyone who loves these games and this book 🎉
This book was awesome in many ways. Fist of all I loved how the author added a part about the government handbook with a lot of dumb humor in it. I also loved the way they made a game into a book about all the plants in it. The reason i read this was only because i liked the game but when i started reading it it was one of the best books I've read.
Possibly the only game guide that I actually played the game for, this guide to Plants vs. Zombies is superb. Giving away just enough to not spoil the game experience or make it too easy, this book is full of tips, tricks, and interesting details of species both plant and zombies. It was entertaining and appealing without being cringe. Much like the game it is based on.
You know you're addicted to the game when you buy a book about that game hoping to get some hints about either how to defeat certain zombies or complete the level. This book had none of that information, nevertheless, the book was still pretty entertaining (especially when you're reading it while you're on a treadmill). The book contains a lot of guidelines regarding identifying zombies to surviving an attack, all very cheeky and in jest (of course). The book also contain a catalogue of the different zombies the player will encounter throughout the game, as well as a listing of all the different plants in the games and their abilities. Then there's the additional excerpt of the book which was supposedly penned by the self-appointed, zombie expert, "Crazy Dave" which was just plain weird but still somewhat humorous. This book is definitely geared for kids, or the adult fan of the game. The book was cute, entertaining and chock full of information (not all necessarily helpful) but still pretty enjoyable to read.
I thought that it was a super great and it tells about the zombies and then it says about the plants and I thought it was a really good book because it showed all the details about that what the plants do and then what the zombies do.
