Sadly I was not particularly impressed with either the drawn pictures of this book nor the "assignments". This book didn't inspire me at all, rather it did the opposite... And it didn't help that the very last drawing of the book is a two-page spread of a very very sexist picture of a young girl. Disturbing. Sorry.
It started off well with instructions on materials and how to hold your pencil or brush. It then moves on to positions of people and perspective as well as how to use different materials. The last pages are shocking with the suggestive picture of young girl. It was unnecessary to provoke and exploit readers sensitive to this last picture and it's interpretation.
