There are very few bright spots left in Bryn Lonneman's life. A dysfunctional relationship with her family, especially her mother, has left her with a jaded view of the world. It doesn't help that a traumatic event in her past has left her with lingering panic attacks, sometimes even debilitating, especially when riding motorcycle with someone else. Bryn desperately wants to take control again, starting with learning how to ride motorcycle solo, so she can go with her best friend and her pseudo family to Sturgis. A freak riding accident sends Bryn to the hospital, where she meets Dr. Charlie Glynn, a no-nonsense doctor that quickly becomes enamored with the feisty biker brat. The two of them start a steamy romance that takes Bryn down a path she is not sure she can follow. Will Bryn let her past control her future, or will she finally take a leap of faith and fly?

”It is only when you leap, that you learn to fly.”

Bryn is broken and is hell bent on proving to herself (and others) that her past will not rule her. Words and memories haunt her
”He said that I was nothing more than a whore that looked good plastered to his back. That no one takes chicks seriously unless they know how to ride, not dumb bitches that need to be ridden.”

Bryn’s goal is to ride her own bike, not on the bike of her best friend Corey, along with the other guys from the shop out to Sturgis. Bryn finally meets a man who makes her feel safe enough to take a leap; who won't put up with her excuses, but her insecurities gets the best of her
”You are a stubborn, pig-headed woman that obviously has some deep-seated problem with either me, or riding motorcycles.”

Charlie, doctor/biker, is taken with Bryn and is determined to do everything he can so that she feels safe to overcome her fears, especially with proper motivation
”Are you always this feisty?
Maybe…I think you can handle it, though.
Yes, I can and your rosy ass proves that.”

It’s not all hearts and flowers, no matter how much Charlie wanted to be there for Bryn, there were some things she had to learn on her own. It was a good quick read, enjoyed it much more than the prequel, Sara’s story continues next, I’m curious to see what happens next for the two sisters.

"It is only when you leap, that you learn to fly"

After reading the prequel to the Learning to Let Go series I was eager to read this next installment. I enjoyed Bryn's story just as much as Sara's. I also appreciated that we got a small glimpse more of Sara in this book as well as a great cliffhanger that has left me desperate for more.

The story was well written and had great characters. Bryn is struggling with anxiety and panic attacks, she is emotionally broken following a traumatic experience. Trying to free herself she believes that if she can learn to ride a motorcycle on her own that she can finally let go of her fears. I liked Bryn, she was real and relatable. I loved her relationship with her BFF Corey who made made me smile with his protectiveness and sarcasm. But what I especially liked most about Bryn was that she was smart enough to know that a man alone wont save you.

When she crosses paths with the good Doctor Charlie Glynn the story really takes off.

'The man was an enigma to her, the perfect combination of sexy and playful, masculine and caring, hard and forgiving"

I loved Charlie, he had all of the swagger of a bad boy but none of the crazy drama. He was fun and flirty but could also be very alpha male when the situation called for it. I appreciated the pace of the relationship between Bryn and Charlie, no insta-love here. Their chemistry was great and the sex was hot. All in all this was an enjoyable read and I will definitely read the next book in the series.

Bryn is haunted by her past but instead of hiding away she faces her fears head-on.

I loved her relationship with her best friend, Corey, and her sister, Sara. I met and fell in love with Sara in the prequel to the series “Just One Night” but “Let Me Fly” can be read as a stand-alone without a problem.

In steps Doctor Glynn (Charlie) and the pages start to heat up. Bryn and Charlie begin to explore their relationship and Charlie’s kinky side gets the juices flowing. Bryn comes with some major baggage but she’s strong and determined to overcome her fears. Charlie’s dominant nature is just what’s needed to give Bryn that extra push to succeed.

“Let Me Fly” is fast paced and a very enjoyable read for romance and kink fans alike.

Received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Having read the novella Just One Night I was really looking forward to this book and I was not disappointed. Bryn meets Charlie after coming off her motorbike and being taken to the ER by her best friend Corey. A short time later they see eachother at the cemetery and the chemistry cannot be ignored. Both characters have their issues, Bryn more so than Charlie but I loved the pace of the story, the trials, the hot love scenes and an exciting epilogue that leaves you wanting more. Loved Bryn's best friend too, he had great comebacks but was always looking out for her. Great love story about overcoming a terrible past and learning to trust again. Can't wait for the next book about Sara and Chris from the first novella.

“Deep breath. Ok. Good. Now say what you want to say.”

After reading the prequel to the Learning to Let Go series I was excited to jump into the series. I am not going to lie and say I was alittle disappointed it started with Bryn's story since I had just gotten attached to Sara and Chris. However that being said, I am happy to say this book captivated me just like the prequel and I was not disappointed at the least.

“I know you are not a child. You are a stubborn, pig-headed woman….”

This book focuses on Bryn and her story. I loved Bryn, I loved how strong she was. I loved that she was real and open. Bryn has some major baggage but because of her strength she is determined to overcome her fears. But with these fears come anxiety and panic attacks, all due to a traumatic experience she had with a motorcycle and a man. But she believes in order to heal she has to learn to ride by herself. But of course learning is never easy and you fall and when falling off a motorcycle you are going to have a trip to the ER. Enter “Dr. Hottie” aka Charlie Glynn.

“You’re every woman’s dream, Charlie. You are sweet and gentle, but firm and unyielding. You’re patient and caring, yet tough as nails when needed. You’re not so bad to look at either.”

I loved Charlie, he had this closet bad boy thing going on but he had this sexy Doctor title that came with it. He was fun, flirty and with a flip of a switch he was this dominating Alpha Male that made you stop and pay attention. Their relationship was something that grew and grab you completely. I am not going to even kid the sex is HOT and AMAZING. But it was the chemistry between these two that kept me turning the pages.

“Bryn, this is yours. All yours. I don’t want rush things, but I don’t want another second to pass without you knowing that you own this part of me,” He tapped their hands together over his heart.

What I really loved was that there was more than just Bryn and Charlie that had me attached. The secondary characters absolutely won me over. I positively fell in love Bryn’s gay BFF Corey, who had this whole protective big brother vibe but also had this sarcasm about him that I found myself wanting a Corey.

“Hey, we’re lucky they didn’t ban us from the bakery! Corey was going to throw down right there next to the little old ladies having Sunday coffee! I had to make a sizable donation to the cancer foundation next week in order to keep from being shunned from town!”

I am pleased to say that we did get a glimpse as to what is going on in Sara’s life and let me tell you this book left me desperate for more of that. This is book is a great love story about overcoming your past and learning once you open up to trusting again love is waiting for you.

Charlie cleared his throat, “I didn’t know you could sing.” Bryn forced herself to stop eyeing him like a piece of meat, settling her gaze on his freshly shaven face. “I didn’t know you could melt panties”

“Thank you Charlie. For being everything I needed.”

And thank you Hazel St. James for bringing these two into my book life.

I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
This book was absolutely fantastic! I really loved reading about Bryn and Charlie and they’re road to a (hopefully) happy ever after. First, you meet Bryn. She has had a difficult time coping with the death of her family members and being raped. Now, Bryn’s trying to move on with her life by proving she can be happy when she discovers the thrill of riding a motorcycle. It allows her to concur her fears, and also her to work past her anxiety when she rides with someone.
Bryn is tough and very stubborn; you can almost feel her determination to do this. After a little accident, she’s ordered by her friends to go to the hospital. That’s where she meets the delectable Dr. Glenn. Dr. Charlie Glenn is a doctor by day, but a Bad Boy Biker by night. Charlie is demanding and unyielding, but he is also sweet and caring as well. It’s not a surprise when Bryn starts to fall for him. Heck, I would myself!
Charlie has helped Bryn open up and push away some of her fears, but that all changes when she sees something and totally takes it the wrong way. After Charlie tries to calm Bryn down, she says some very hurtful things that drive him away. After a few weeks have past, Bryn and the guys she works with at the motorcycle shop decide to go to Sturgis, and low and behold she discovers Charlie is coming. Bryn’s been working on her internal struggles and realizes she wants to fix her relationship with Charlie.
Bryn and Charlie are so hot together it’s hard to believe that it won’t fix their relationship. The sex scenes are hot, and the chemistry between them is undeniable. I can’t wait to see what happens with her sister Sara in the next book, it sounds like things will get interesting.

Story Has Sex With Light BDSM . . .

For a book with sex involving light BDSM this was certainly a strange read for me. I'm not one for that type of genre and definitely wasn't looking to read a book like it, but the story was free at the time, so I grabbed it and saved it for a dull day. Sadly this book was nothing I'd read again or really recommend.

Trying to reclaim her life Bryn Lonneman, has her mindset on making the long journey to Sturgis with her motorcycle family. Problem is she has panic attacks basically every time she rides one especially when she rides with someone. Bryn has a dysfunctional family life, her issues began the day her dad passed. Since then things have only gotten worse including the day she was attacked. After that she hasn't felt safe except with Dr. Charlie Glynn, whom she can't seem to help follow orders from. Charlie explains to Bryn that she's a sub and isn't shy about showing her what that entails. Though it becomes clear that if they are to have any shot at a real relationship Bryn will need to get help or else what they have may not last.

Overall, not my thing. Though thankful it wasn't hardcore BDSM or I'd have just stopped. Reasons I kept reading till the end, there was a story and the characters weren't dull. Bryn was feisty and ready to take back her life, it's only when she got with Charlie she changed. Luckily this author read my mind and had Bryn get real help, as in professional, rather than some authors fictional belief sex heals all. Only thing was the sex got weird and the phrases yelled out in the middle of the sex were kind of funny, probably only to me because I love that YouTube video, Charlie bit my finger, so every time Bryn would scream, "Ouch Charlie!" I'd just hear a little British boy voice. So if you're looking for a light BDSM book with sex, motorcycles, sex on motorcycles and don't know that YouTube video, you could try the book but for me this is a nope.

A truly inspiring story of surviving a traumatic event. Having the traumatic event written as flashes during Bryn’s panic attacks is a brilliant way to ease readers into the pain that has been controlling this victim’s life. Each character is written with such care and purpose they come to life on the page.
Surviving and living are two different things. Bryn has used her best friend Cory and his guilt for what happened as a crutch. Cory is glad to be that crutch; he has his own burden of guilt to overcome. The co-dependency they share is not really living; it is just existing.
Enter the good Doctor Glynn, he takes charge of Bryn when her panic sets in and gets her out of her own mind and thoughts. Knowing how to dominate and care for her relaxes her and she lets her guard down. Trust, which Bryn does not easily give, is handed to Charlie Glynn.
These characters have their ups and downs, but ultimately Bryn has to learn to fight her past demons as they rise up with Charlie’s help of course. This will never be a true BDSM relationship. As a doctor, Charlie does not have the time to dedicate to a full time sub and Bryn is too independent for that kind of commitment. They have to find what works for them, if they are going to make it as a couple.
Bryn’s character has to reach for help, panic attacks that are debilitating rule her life. Her journey of healing moves and captivates readers. It will keep you coming back to the series to see how Bryn is doing.

I think maybe I should read the blurbs before purchasing! I fell in love with Bryn and Charlie, but I was really expecting Sara and Chris. Though we did get a glimpse of Chris in the epilogue.

Bryn is the oldest of her and Sara, and while she has a few issues, she is trying her hardest to deal with them without having to seek professional help. Bryn was raped, and since that night she has panic attacks. She has slowly been trying to get back on a motorcycle since that night and while she is making some progress there is still a lot to go.
Bryn meets Charlie by ending up in the hospital after a minor accident on the motorcycle, Charlie is of course her Doctor in the ER.

Things pick up for the two when they have a chance meeting and things really go from there. There is not any "sex" because Charlie wants to make sure that Bryn is comfortable with him. And after a little bit Bryn starts to get more comfy with him and when she is wanting to take things to the next level she happens upon another girl in Charlie's house. Of course she jumps to conclusions and believes the worst, and will not give Charlie a chance to explain.
Both Charlie and Bryn seem to stay away from each other for at least a month, and get thrown together when the ride to Sturgis comes up. Bryn has made lots of progress and now is going to make the ride with the group on her own motorcycle. Things of course get straightened out between the two and they finally get back together.

This is the first book in the Learning to let go series, preceded only by the prequel Just one night. In this book we meet Bryn, Sara’s (from Just One Night) sister. Bryn has lead a difficult life and has faced some very traumatic events. She and her best friend Corey work together at a motorcycle shop in town, and she has decided to get over her fear of motorcycles by learning to ride on her own. She has set a goal for herself to ride, on her own bike, to Sturgis with Corey, her boss and the rest of the guys from the shop. After an unlucky practice riding session where she falls from her bike she is taken to the ER where she meets one hunky Dr., Charlie.

A few days later when they run into each other again outside of the hospital they can’t ignore the sparks that fly between them. The hot alpha biker/doctor is just who Brynn needs to help her get through her anxiety attacks and fear, and he uses some untraditional (and friggen HOT) methods of getting her to let go of the anxiety.

This is an awesome book about strength and healing and learning to overcome the traumatic events in life with an amazing love story mixed in. Ms St James really did a marvelous job with this book !

Received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters were real with real life problems. Bryn is trying hard to become her own being after some traumatic events in her life. She wants to ride with her employer and the gang to Sturgis. On her own, with her own bike and is desperate to do that.

After a mishap on her bike, she lands in the hospital and meets Dr. Hottie (Dr. Charlie Glynn). The chemistry between them is strong but her friendship is so fierce with Corey that he won't just let them get together. He shows the good Doc that he means business when it comes to Byrn's happiness.

This book will keep you wanting more, cheering for the main character and even a little pissed at some of the events. Pulls all of your emotions at once. Read and enjoy!

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

I was surprised to learn that this book didn't pick up where the novella ended. The story shifted gears but not in a bad way. While I was expecting the continuation of Chris and Sara's story, I really enjoyed Charlie and Bryn's. Bryn is Sara's sister, and Charlie is the Dr. who treats Bryn after a motorcycle accident.

I would have liked to seen more in depth story about how the accident affected Bryn and her ongoing motorcycle anxiety. I think the author did a great job with a very sensitive subject but could have fleshed it out a little more.

I'm ready for the story in the series.

This is my first book by Hazel St. James. I loved it. One hot hunky doctor (Charlie McGlynn) and one stubborn woman (Bryn Lonneman). My heart broke for Bryn but loved that she had Corey to help her deal but it was the doctor that gave her back control.Their story was filled with such emotion and I cried when there was sadness and joy. I truly enjoyed that the author had Bryn read Red Phoenix's book. That was an awesome story as well. When you finish this story, you'll want to read the next. I have read this out of order, please start with Letting Go - the story of Chris and Sara. They reunite at the end of this story.

Tis was an enjoyable read. Watching Bryn learn to cope with her anxiety and find a way to stand on her own was touching. She has great friends and was dealing, but didn't realize what a toll that her anxiety was doing to everyone. I expected this to be about Sara after reading the .5 book, but was surprised. I liked the addition of the Dr into Bryn's life and look forward to where they are heading. LOVED THE ENDING and the glimpse into what is coming with Sara! Looking forward to this series!

When I first read the summary I didn't really want to read this book since I was hoping it was the continuation to Chris and Sara's story.... Boy am I glad that I read it anyways!!!! I kind of made a connection with Bryn because I have a similar relationship with my mom and she has with hers. I love her drive to overcome her fears. She makes mistakes but she learns to move past it and with the help of wonderful Charlie, learns how to fly again!

I was hooked from the very first book. In fact, it was so good I had to go find all the books remaining in the series. Each story is hot, steamy and intriguing. The books are well written and characters are developed well. I was drawn into each book and once I turned the last page I had to go find the next one. They are so good! This is the first book/series that I have read by this author and definitely won’t be my last.
