I always look forward to reading Cindy Kirk's books - I love watching the group of friends interact, as well as the main characters fall in love :) This book focuses on Adrienna and Tripp. They both work at the hospital, and knew each other when younger Tripp married Adrienna's best friend. His wife died in childbirth three years ago, and Tripp is starting to feel ready to find someone else, but he's determined it will NOT be Adrienna. Fate and hormones may have other ideas :).
I'd like to think the author and publisher for giving me an ARC of this book to read.
Cindy Kirk's books are always a treat. Say Yes to a Second Chance is all about friendship and family, looking for and finding a second chance for that special love. Adrianna and Tripp have known each other for a long time. It was interesting watching Tripp wrestle with himself over getting involved with someone after the loss of his wife. We can all identify with not wanting to get hurt again and he had to realize the risk was worth it. Adrianna has loved him all along and it was fun to see them work their way from friendship to love. Sweet and charming with a wonderful proposal scene, it is heartwarming and satisfying. I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.
Good book. Anna had loved Tripp since they were teenagers but she saw him marry her friend Gayle instead. They moved away from Jackson Hole as Tripp started his career in hospital management. Now Tripp is back and still recovering from Gayle's death. They have continued their friendship though Anna would really like it to become more. Tripp's parents really want him to settle down and see his friendship with Anna as a stepping stone. With Tripp's dad fighting cancer, he asks Anna to pretend to be his girlfriend for awhile in order to give his dad some motivation to fight.
Anna was reluctant to participate in the deception at first, not liking the idea of lying to their friends and families. But she also wants to be there for him so she goes along with it. While she is quite aware of her feelings for Tripp she is sure that he only feels friendship toward her - until his pretend kisses and touches start to feel real. Then she starts to dream about a future where they are together. Anna had a bit of a hard time with her relationship with Tripp. She loved him but felt that he was not truly interested in her, until things started to heat up. She was hopeful, but also confused because he seemed to blow hot and cold. This led her to believe that he might care for her but that Gayle would always hold first place in his heart. As much as she loved him I really liked it when she told him that she deserved more and broke things off with him.
Tripp was very glad to be back in Jackson Hole. He had missed his hometown while he was gone but Gayle had not wanted to move back. After her death he had renewed his friendship with Anna, which had faded while he was married because Gayle was jealous. Now he finds that he enjoys spending time with her and is seeing her as more than a friend. This makes him feel guilty, as if Gayle had been right in her accusations, even though he hadn't thought of Anna that way while he was married. After he asked Anna's help with the whole girlfriend thing he discovered that he wanted to make it real. Unfortunately he also found that those guilty feelings would pop up at inconvenient times causing him to pull back from Anna. I felt really bad for Tripp because he seemed to be in a no-win situation, at least in his own mind. He was also afraid of the strength of his feelings for Anna and that he would be even more devastated if something happened to her. He had to get past the fear and realize that being together was more important. I loved his big scene at the end -- so romantic!
This book is #3 in the Jackson Hole series, and is a welcome addition. This novel focused on Adrianna Lee and Tripp Randall. Tripp was married and his pregnant wife Gayle died from a pregnancy complication three years ago. Since that time, he has focused on work. Adrianna had a crush on Tripp in high school and was Gayle’s best friend. Tripp invited Adrianna to accompany him to a hospital fundraiser. At the fundraiser, people, including Tripp’s parents, assumed Adrianna and Trip were a couple. Tripp’s father is recovering from cancer, and when he takes a turn for the worse, Tripp asks Adrianna to maintain their fake coupe status for 30 days until his father improves. Obviously, complications ensue.
Winn Ferris, son of a hospital board member, is a fly in the ointment, and kind of blackmails Tripp to introduce him to the local movers and shakers. Tripp doesn’t like or trust Winn, but is forced to go along with Winn’s plans. Oddly, Winn, his plans, and his threats disappear from the book with no explanation, following a party at Mary Karen and Travis’s house.
Mary Karen and Travis, a “couple” from the previous two books, are presented here as a married couple. I found this disconcerting, but found out that the author has not regained the rights to the book that covers their story and marriage and so that book is not yet part of the Jackson Hole series. I wish in this current book the minor change of making Mary Karen and Travis not married was made, saving their marriage for a future Jackson Hole novel.
I enjoyed this second chance romance, but the Winn Ferris disappearance and the abrupt married status of Mary Karen and Travis I found somewhat disconcerting, dropping my rating to a 4.5. However, 4.5 rounds up to a 5 star review.

Adrianna has always liked Tripp, but Tripp was dating and eventually married to Adrianna's close friend. When Tripp was widowed, he and Adrianna rekindled their friendship virtually. However, when he moved back and became the CEO of the hospital where Adrianna works, the virtual friendship they built fizzled out. The sparks, however, were always there.
Fast forward to today ... Adrianna wants to seriously start dating again because she's just tired of being alone. Through a strange, yet serendipitous set of circumstances, Adrianna and Tripp start fake dating; and this is where the story gets interesting.
Throw in a set of friends, a possibly douchy newcomer to town and interfering parents, and our couple definitely finds themselves in quite a pickle. This book was such a fun read, it had its serious and sad moments but the vibe of the book was definitely lighthearted and fun. I loved the way it was written, and this is something I have come to love with Cindy Kirk's books. There's always this sense of family and home in Cindy's books that just makes the stories even more memorable and personal for me.
I think my favorite thing about this book was that it reaffirms my faith in the fact that things always work out in the end. People may think it is corny and cheesy, but if it is meant to be, it will definitely be.
***I received an ARC of this book, but this review is posted willingly and all opinions expressed herein are my own.
A sweet, but steamy, friends-to-lovers story that will pull at your heartstrings as both Tripp and Adrianna discover what the truth is that lies dormant in their hearts. Kirk weaves a deep story about hero Tripp’s underlying heartbreak and guilt that has held him back, as well as heroine Adrianna’s relationship fears. Adrianna searches for the perfect one, all the while denying she found the one years ago.
They agree to a hook-up ruse. Their plan is an innocent and limited relationship to get them through a work-place event, but neither understands the pain they will cause family and friends with their innocent deception. Or the self-inflicted pain they will experience, as each acknowledges to themselves the love they harbor for the other.
Add to the romance, Kirk also continues to do what she does best: build a small-town world, bringing in characters from books one and two.
Although I read this book when it was first released, I had such fun rediscovering the great hero and heroine, the town, and the cast of characters in this wonderful series.
I was given an ARC of this book by the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Say Yes to a Second Chance is the third in the Jackson Hole series but can also be read as a stand alone story. This is a story of finding the strength to move on and giving love a chance. Adrianna has been in love with Tripp since they were teenagers and he helped her carry branches to the end of the drive, but never revealed her feelings because Tripp was in a relationship with her friend Gayle. Tripp married his high school sweetheart but lost both his wife and unborn child. Adrianna reached out to Tripp and they began a friendship through text messages, now Tripp is back home and old feelings are hard to hide. Their friendship gets complicated when Tripp asks her to pretend to be in a relationship to appease his ailing father. What starts as pretend soon develops into real feelings but old fears arise to cause problems. Watching Adrianna and Tripp's relationship grow and develop is truly delightful. This story is like coming home and interacting with old friends. I thoroughly enjoyed the range of emotions that the characters and story brought out. I highly recommend this story.
I received an advance reader copy from the publisher but all thoughts and feelings are my own.
Love second chances! This is the third book of Jackson Hole Books and this one doesn’t disappoint. Each of these books is heartwarming to say the least, they have meaning to what could have been to what it is. I love that in the first book a child finds a forever home and a women gives herself the ability to love again. The second book is about someone finding himself withing true love a stranger and a little girl. This one is a great one too, having a teenage crush, but letting it go as he marries the BFF to becoming friends then a forever life. This story is about Adrianna and Tripp. Adrianna has known Tripp a while, but he ended up married to her BFF, but lost his wife due to pregnancy complication. Tripp is the new CEO where she works at and during a function, they decide to fake date and it gets better from there. There is a bit of action/suspense there as well, but I won’t give it away. Note that if you have read book one or two, there is a certain couple that changes., but it is all good…

One thing I love about Ms. Kirk's books is how she always incorporates characters from pervious stories into the newest novel. This helps keeps characters alive, but also, allows for the books to be read out-of-sequence without the reader feeling as though they missed something. The novel tells the story of Adrianna and Tripp and their complicated relationship (snippet: Adrianna has always crushed on Tripp, but he married her friend, and thus she was always friend-zoned). But now that Tripp is a widower, the tables are turning. Their relationship blooms from friendship, to a fake relationship, to a real romance. Who doesn't love that? If you're looking for a way to travel whilst you're stuck at home during Covid-19 isolation, pick up this book and venture to Jackson Hole, WY and spectate on the relationship between Adrianna and Tripp!
Adrianna & Tripp's love story started when they were just teenagers. Adrianna fell for her best friend's boyfriend. I really appreciated how we were able to view both the former and current relationships through multiple points of view. Adrianna thought Gayle had the perfect relationship with Tripp & his family. Gayle was secretly jealous of Adrianna and thought Tripp was interested in her friend. Tripp thought Gayle was his soul mate, until he found out what it felt like to love Adrianna. I also loved that Tripp & Adrianna rekindled their relationship via text, which allowed them to say things they never had to courage to say face to face. The main themes of communication and honesty were seamlessly woven throughout the story. I instantly felt a connection to the characters and their situations. I can't wait to be back in Jackson Hole for the next adventure!

Adrianna & Tripp's story began when they were just teenagers, with Adrianna believing that Tripp was her soul mate. However Tripp married Gayle only for her and their child to tragically die. Adrianna reached out to support Tripp and so began a friendship by text, where they could get to know each other again, or maybe really for the first time. I loved how open and honest they were.
When they meet again Adrianna knows that she still loves Tripp but when he asks her to pretend to be his girlfriend she isn't sure, but she agrees to it. Tripp realises that it is Adrianna and not Gayle that is his soul mate.
I loved the development of the story and how communication is the key.......and it was amazing to bump into previous characters, seeing how they're getting on. I can't wait until the next visit to Jackson Hole!

Say yes to a second chance by Cindy Kirk "I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it."
I really want to move to Jackson Hole. I love the town and the people so much. What started out as “fake” dating of course turns into more. Tripp and Adrianna are the perfect couple. There were a lot of miscommunication on both parts both being afraid the other didn’t feel the same way. They were such good friends for so long and she was friends with his deceased wife so there was that guilt problem. We met a new guy too Winn. I’m on the fence about him. At first, I thought he was some sleaze but as he kept popping up I kind of felt sorry for him. He seemed to me to be looking for something and appeared at least to me to play the playboy bad boy role. Who knows what may happen with that character? I can see a ton of potential for him to be put in his place. I just don’t know who the female would be to do that.
“I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.” This is the third book in the Jackson Hole series but definitely my favourite! The minute I started this book I could not put it down. Ms Kirk really knows how to grab you from the first page. The main topic for this book is how friends really can become lovers. Adrianna and Tripp have known each other since they were teenagers. Adrianna has always had a torch for Tripp but being that he was with her best friend Gayle, never did anything about it. Fast forward to now and a lot has changed. Adrianna is single and Tripp is a widower. Will Adrianna's childhood fantasy become a reality? Will love get a second chance? Do yourself a favour and read the book to find out. I promise you won't be disappointed!
This third book in the Jackson Hole series was a great read, and another fun book by Cindy Kirk.
Adrianna Lee has been in love with Tripp Randell since she was 14, but she always kept that to herself as he was married to one of her friends. After the death of his wife and child, Tripp returns home to take of as CEO of the hospital. Adrianna is a Midwife there and still in love with Tripp. To help each other out at a work function they go together as friends. However, there is nothing like a little competition go give you the kick in the rear that is sometimes needed, Enter Winn Farris. Winn is the catalyst that is needed to make trip see what is right in front of him. With lots of ups and downs and misunderstandings can these two learn to love?

I loved how the book dealt with the insecurities we all feel even when the person that made us feel them isn't with us anymore and how that can actually enhance them. So far I've enjoyed all the books in the Jackson Hole series, however, I did discover from this book that the series is not coming out in the same order as the original books they are revised from. This was a bit frustrating as I was trying to figure out when some of the characters who were now together in this story got together when they weren't in the past stories.
I liked how friendship and love developed between the characters as well as between Adrianna and Tripp's parents. Overall it was a quick-moving book that was easy to read and enjoyable.

I always love Cindy's books and love her style of writing. I would love to go to a town just like Jackson Hole. The story of Adrianna and Tripp did not disappoint. Adrianna always had feelings for Tripp. Tripp got married his wife died durning child birth so he comes back to Jackson hole eventually. Adriannas feelings are still there. He ask her to go to a hospital function with him so they could network and as friends. Then they pretend to date for his fathers sake. All a sudden the feelings are there. A great story that feels real and makes you think you are there in it. The only thing that confused me with the Mary Karen and Travis part. I feel like I'm missing a part of the story.
Adrianne is a nurse midwife, Tripp is the CEO of the Jackson Hole Hospital. Tripp is a widower, Adrianne was neighbors, and friends with his late wife, Gayle. He lost both his wife and their unborn daughter. They pretend date because people make the assumption that they are an item. There is a guy, Winn, that keeps flirting with Adrianne, and wants to be friends with Tripp, but Tripp doesn't really want to introduce him around. They spend time together, with friends, and with his family. They go on dates, and start a sexual relationship. She overhears some things that she misunderstands, and breaks up with Tripp. After he talks to his Mom and she talks to her friend Betsy, they both realize they made mistakes. He sends her flowers, and they talk. At the end of the book he asks her a very important question.

What another great book by one of my favorite authors!! Jackson Hole #3 did not disappoint!
Tripp moves back to Jackson Hole after he moved away years before. He asks Adrianna, who was a friend of his and his late wife who died along with their unborn baby, to attend a fundraiser with him. Since everyone saw them together, they believed they were dating and so did his parents. His dad has cancer and his parents were so delighted to see him dating again. He didn’t have the heart to tell them otherwise and proposed they pretend date to appease his parents until he realizes he has feelings for her. Adrianna has always loved Tripp since she was fourteen, but never believes he could love her more than he loved his wife. Their story is a beautiful one. A must read!

Adrianna and Tripp were friends in Jackson Hole growing up. After the death of his wife, Gayle, Tripp moves back to Jackson Hole and continues his friendship with Adrianna. Both Tripp and Adrianna need to learn to trust again - Tripp that he won't get hurt and Adrianna that she can find her forever love in Tripp, not just the puppy love she thinks she felt as a teenager. Their good friendship turns into a great romance finding love and soul mates.
With the author's stories, you always feel that you know the characters. They are believable, honest and realistic and it is good and great that there is always a happy ending.
Adrianna and Tripp had a connection that started when they were kids, but life happened. Tripp married and lost his wife and child while Adrianna went through her own struggles. When Tripp returns to town the friendship lead to more as they fake a relationship that ultimately results in the love that has always been fighting to return to the surface. The relationship between Adrianna and Tripp was should have never been denied but as always, men are the last to figure things out. I only wished the book had a little more drama and a lot less of Tripp's emotional roller coaster when it came to his deceased wife and her friends opinions.

Another great book from Cindy Kirk - doing what she does best: build a small-town world, bringing in characters from books one and two.
This is a well written story about Adrianna and Tripp.
Definitely recommend if you are looking for an easy read and enjoy a good HEA
I was so lucky to receive an advanced copy of this book in exchange for giving my own honest opinion. Its no secret by now that i am a huge fan of Cindy Kirk's books. I love to return to places she sets the books in, and Jackson Hole is where we visit this time. As always the story interweaves previous characters and adds in new ones, that we hope to meet again in future books. This story features Adrianna and Trip. They both new each other growing up and she adored him from afar. He was once married to her friend until a tragedy alters the future. Even though people think they are made for each other, they remain work collegues and friends, but for how long? An absolute must read for Cindy fans x
Did you ever have a moment as a teenager that made you feel strongly that the guy was yours, but he is your friend's boyfriend? In this charming book of second chances, that guy comes back. After the tragic loss of his wife, Tripp comes back to his home town. Adrianna and Tripp have remained friends via the internet but both find those old feelings become new feelings when they meet face to face. Both are determined because of their loyalty, to wife and best friend, to remain friends. Love and chemistry have a different destiny in this romantic story of second chances. I received an advanced copy of this book for review. You cannot go wrong with a Cindy Kirk novel.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. Another great book from Cindy Kirk. Well written novel about Adrianna and Tripp. As a reader you know that they are made for each other although Tripp fights it constantly. I think if I had been in Adrianna’s place I would have given up on him long ago. Would have liked to see Winn get some comeuppance but maybe that will come in another book. There have been characters introduced into this book that I would like to see have their own book (such as Tripp’s sister Hailey) . Definitely recommend this book if you enjoy a good HEA
Adrianna is almost 30 and ready to find her special someone. She had a crush on Tripp as a teenager, but he considered her just a friend. When Tripp was suddenly widowed Adrianna reached out to express her condolences. That opened up the lines of communication that continued until Tripp came back home for a new job. Their friendship continued then Tripp asked Adrianna for them to fake date. She agreed, but for only a month. Will their friendship deepen to love or will Tripp be afraid to lose someone again and not want to take the risk?

Tripp and Adrianna have both suffered a great loss. Adrianna lost her parents and Tripp his wife and unborn child. Tripp is ready to move on but is struggling with his attraction to Adrianna. Adrianna has been attracted to Tripp since she was a teenager. They keep circling around one another saying they are just friends. Tripp asks Adrianna to pretend to be his fake girlfriend for 30 days. Adrianna isn’t sure this is the best idea but she can’t say no. Keep reading to see how this ends.
I enjoyed this series from the beginning I am a sucker for small town romances. I enjoyed Tripp and Adrianna story, I couldn’t remember them from previous books but it linked well with mentioned other characters and give you a look into others lives which I always love. Like Travis and Mary Karen so I am guessing some of these books aren’t written in order as we getting that book later?
I always find Cindy Kirk books a quick read and keeps you interested all the way through. What more can you ask for with romance with some drama but not over the up. Looking forward to the next book!

Adrianna fell in love Tripp when she was an awkward fourteen year old and he was dating her friend Gayle. She now works at the local hospital as a midwife. Tripp is back home in Jackson Hole as the CEO of the hospital, three years after losing his wife and unborn child. Of course, at some point his seriously ailing father mistakes them as a couple and Tripp asks Adrianna to go along for the next 30 days to make his father happy.
