An immediate success, it was the start of her journey to becoming the world’s most famous and most read romantic novelist of all time. Inspiring a whole generation of readers around the globe with her exciting tales of adventure, love and intrigue, she became synonymous with the Romance genre. And she still is to this day, having written over 644 romantic fiction books.
As well as romantic novels, she wrote historical biographies, 6 autobiographies, plays, music, poetry and several advice books on life, love, health and cookery – totalling an incredible 723 books in all, with over 1 billion in sales.

Always a passionate advocate of woman’s health and beauty, she was dubbed ‘the true Queen of Romance’ by Vogue magazine in her lifetime. Her legend continues today through her wonderfully vivid romantic tales, stories that help you escape from the day to day into the dramatic adventures of strong, beautiful women who battle, often against the odds, eventually to find that love conquers all.

Suite à un grand tri dans ma bibliothèque, je relis les romances de mon adolescence... avant de leur donner une deuxième vie en les déposant dans une boîte à livre.

I can't believe I'm reading this! But, it sure is bringing back memories of my teen aged years when I absolutely loved reading these silly things!

Wow. How dumb this book was! Now I remember! Paradise, the gold rapture of the divine, perfection, etc. All after one little old kiss.

I think not!

But, for whatever reason, I had the urge to read one of these and so I did.

I'm cured!

My first Barbara Cartland. I rwad it on a plane. I odn't remember what is was about. I do remember loving another one of her books, the Flame is Love - I think they made a movie out of it, with Linda Purl. Remember Linda Purl?
