It’s a nice book, but I found the use of ‘she’ a bit ambiguous—it’s not always clear whether it’s referring to the reader or someone else. This made parts of the message feel less personal. A slight adjustment, like specifying ‘she is [something]’ and then adding a name, could make it more direct and meaningful. The illustrations are a little messy from my perspective.

That said, the book is cute and amusing, and I do agree with its overall sentiment. However, I wouldn’t say it’s particularly empowering on its own. It feels more like something you’d gift to someone you admire or look up to rather than a book that actively inspires self-empowerment. It’s a sweet and celebratory read, but not the best choice if you’re looking for something deeply motivational.

I won this book through Goodreads FirstReads. It wasn't quite what I expected but I did like it. The book is a series of quotes to inspire and celebrate strong women you know. My problem, however, was that it almost reads like a eulogy and celebrating someone after the fact. I found this book to be a good one to dip into to find inspiration for a toast or something similar for a strong woman in your life.
