What's that? You're in your mid-twenties, having Christmas on your own for the first time, from a middle-class family but now are broke and under-employed thanks to the Recession, and you've realized you don't possess any ornaments, cookie cutters, plastic wreaths, advent candles, or tree stands? Well, make a Pandora carol station, turn on a YouTube fireplace video, and settle in on the couch with Naomi Black's The Whole Christmas Catologue! Packed with Christmas lore, recipes, crafts you probably aren't talented enough to do, and even some Christmas-themed short stories in the back, reading The Whole Christmas Catalogue is like finding part of a white bread 80s childhood in a shoebox at the back of the closet. At the right moment, in the right mood, it's exactly the emotional comfort food that some broke young adults may need at the beginning of December. I loved looking through this book. Thanks, Naomi Black.

(obviously the synopsis of this edition that appears here is wrong)

I've had this book for years but always forget about it. It has a little bit of everything, recipes, crafts, gift ideas, Christmas history, Christmas scene excerpts from famous books, sheet music...the Christmas kitchen sink.
