This is my 2nd time reading this book which I think I want to purchase in the future. I recently completed a painting based on what I learned in this book and I have to admit never again will I go back to my lazy way of not planning out a painting. An amazing book!

Not exactly what I expected, so, a little disappointed. The title says "LEARN watercolor..." Well, it's not really an instructional volume, but it was definite an interesting read. The book highlights 15 of Whitney's very successful students, and each tells a bit about their relationship with him. There are many example paintings with commentary. Mostly what's talked about are design elements, which was interesting and translates to any visual medium. A good book, but the title is maybe a bit misleading.
