This is an outstanding cookbook with creative recipes that are well described and sumptuous. My family's favorite is the Thanksgiving stuffing that includes spicy sausage, mushrooms, and mixed pumpernickel and cornbread. Yum! The book also contains great hors d'oeuvres and a baked catfish recipe that we've had and enjoyed several times. Equally important, this book is very well illustrated--something important when making a new or unfamiliar dish about which the cook might have some concerns.

This is a beautifully produced book. The photographs, fonts, style and binding make it a favorite in my kitchen- but most of all, the recipes are to die for. One of my absolute favorites. I have found every Junior League cookbook to be impeccable and full of regional flavor.
