Brother Tariq: The Doublespeak of Tariq Ramadan

Tariq Ramadan is a global phenomenon. A Swiss-born Muslim activist, he is the grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, the radical group credited with inspiring modern Islamic radicalism. Ramadan is fluent in English, French and Arabic. In Europe, he is the most quoted and circulated writer on Islam. His writings are a regular feature of major English-speaking newspapers, but his real message is revealed in his speeches to Muslim groups in France, Africa, and the Middle East. Caroline Fourest has carefully transcribed and translated those speeches and shows that Ramdan's ingenious rhetoric is a Trojan horse, fostering the anti-Semitic and anti-Christian values of fundamentalist Islam on its latest Western civilization.

Caroline Fourest est une essayiste et journaliste française, militante féministe et engagée en faveur de l'égalité, de la laïcité et des droits de l'homme. Elle est diplômée en histoire et en sociologie de l'EHESS, et est également titulaire d'un DESS de communication politique et sociale, obtenu à la Sorbonne. Elle y a étudié la communication de crise (réactions aux boycotts et aux rumeurs), à laquelle elle a consacré un livre : Face au boycott. Rédactrice en chef de la revue ProChoix, elle donne des cours à l'Institut d'études politiques de Paris. Elle est également chroniqueuse au Monde et à France Inter.

Just another book about bashing a person just because he is religious (she bashed other concepts of religion too mainly Christianity, to her being religious is a crime). The fact that she stoops to low by bashing Said Ramadhan (Tariq's father) of naming his son, "Tariq" shows how personally her attacks towards Tariq. The rest of the chapters are mere "he said-she says" accusation. No person is spared from her books including Syed Qutb, Ibnu Tayimiah, Yusuf al-Qaradawi where she repeatedly attacks and accused them of radicals. No proof or backing from academic literature except those reports from people who at the start were against Tariq Ramadan. Waste of time reading this book.

She’s been writing on several areas of Christian, Muslim and Jewish “intégrisme”“/extremism .





Once in a debate with T. Ramadan she accused him of “double-speech”. One of her arguments against Ramadan was his speech in his cassettes on the great sins. Ramadan was saying that the swimming pools of the Isle of Reunion were not Islamic: what can you look at?; and he added as excuse, that this kind of talk was addressed to men.

Pourquoi y a pas zéro star.
Que des mensonges et des falsifications. Waste of time! Prof. Ramadan a déjà répondu lors d’une émission télé, elle a même subi une HUMILIATION à l’échelle universelle. GAME OVER

I loved this book especially in light of the multiple rape charge and sexual misconduct claims Ramadan now faces. This is a great book.
