The next day would be Mother’s Day and Matthew wanted to buy the best gift he could find for the best mother he knew - his own. That night Matthew woke at midnight to see pennies all over the ground outside his house and a man with a midnight money van scooping them up. With the shiny pennies they gathered, they went shopping at the midnight madness event at the mall so that Matthew could buy the best present ever for his mom. Funny story with fabulous illustrations.
